《Little Love》26. Bathroom Break

Okay.
I was panicking.
More than a little.
Grey had left a few hours ago, and now it was turning dark, and I really had to pee.
Like, really had to pee.
I'd been stuck under the bed for at least five hours, and thankfully, had only had to fight off two cases of pins and needles. I had even managed to sleep for an hour straight, but now my phone was on charge, I was wide awake, and again:
I really had to pee.
All I had to do was jump out and run over to my bathroom, go super quickly and race back, but I knew the second Alex heard me, I would be done for. I was a clumsy person; I could trip and fall, or I could knock something over, or Alex could just walk in and catch me shuffling out from my hiding space...
But I really had to go...
Just when I was about to risk it, the door opened, revealing Grey's shoes and Alex's socks.
Oh no.
Alex was going to kick me out.
It was clear to see that he was closer to Greyson than me, and if they were walking in together, it would've meant that they had talked about it, so Alex would've told Greyson that we can't date, which meant that Greyson would've apologised and promised to break up with me and probably said he hated me or something and Alex would've agreed and now they were here to kick me out, I mean, it was pretty clear now - I didn't even pay rent! What use was I to Alex in comparison to his best friend he had known forever at this point and lived with and he payed rent too, and I bet he never ate Alex's snacks and...

"Love, I'm not mad, I promise. Just come out, you've been under there for a concerning amount of time," Alex said, breaking my train of thought. He wasn't mad? Or maybe he was trying to trick me...
"Really baby, he isn't mad," I blushed and, seeing as they already knew where I was, decided to wiggle forwards a little bit, peeking up at them as they stared down, both with the same amuse-but-not-amused face.
"Love, get up," I pouted at Alex's mean demand, but I shuffled backwards until I slipped out from behind the bed and sat up on the other side, deciding that it was the most dignified way to get out.
"Promise you're not mad?" He sighed and sat on my bed, nodding at Grey, who stepped back and left the room, leaving me with my brother. I climbed onto the bed and crossed my legs, watching as he nervously he sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Love, you caught me off guard, but honestly, Greyson's my best friend: I know he's a good guy, why would I disapprove? At least you're not dating some random guy I've never met or a druggie or, even worse, Ryan," He wrinkled his nose in disgust as I stared at him in shock, then squealed and threw myself at him.
"Thank you! You're literally the coolest brother ever! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" He laughed at my outburst, hugging me tightly in return. After a few seconds, he gently pulled me away by my shoulders and stared at me, his expression turning more serious.
"I did want to talk to you though, Love. I need you to be honest with me though, 'kay?" I nodded, not sure whether he was genuinely being serious or if this was a joke. "You haven't recieved any random messages recently, have you? Especially off an unknown number?" I looked at him strangly, but shook my head. Why did he need to ask me that? He kept staring at me until I started growing nervous.

"Why?" He shook his head and let me go, standing up and stretching.
"No reason. Just caught hold of a few rumors and wanted to check on you. You shouldn't worry, you're not involved, I just wanted to see if you were okay," This only made me worried and my mind began racing off on explainations on why Alex was so worried; he would never do this normally, unless I specifically mentioned something. He was protective, but he was relaxed and passive about most things and was quick to sort out most problems. If he was worried about something, it meant that it was something big that he couldn't see an instant fix to.
"Are you involved?" He gave me a look out of the corner of his eye, but chuckled and started leaving, shaking his head.
"That's none of your concern, Love. As long as you're not involved, we're good. Dinner's downstairs if you want any - we ordered take out, so there's pretty much everything downstairs, just go and help yourself before the guys eat everything,"
"'Kay, thank you," He nodded and shut the door gently behind him, leaving me sat alone in my room, confused about pretty much everything. Confusion turned to annoyance pretty quickly when I realised that I had wasted five hours of the day, five hours which could've been spent doing pretty much anything other than hiding under my bed. Even worse, both Greyson and Alex knew I was under there! Or at least Greyson did, and if he knew Alex was fine with it, why wouldn't he tell him? What a freaking jerk!
I stood up, fully prepared to tell Greyson off and eat takeout, when I remembered.
I had to pee.
Like, now.
