《Dear Mr.CEO {COMPLETED}》Feels Like Paradise

Chapter 19:
Getting straight to the point, Adaline took off her gigantic hat and stripped out of her coveralls and I did the same, and we literally raced to the pool.
She dove straight into the pool, and I did a cannon ball since I wasn't that advance as she was.
"That was fun." I laughed, brushing my hand over my face to remove the water and my hair when we reached the surface.
We swim around for about an hour before I saw my hands turning pruny and I decided to take a break.
Picking up my sunscreen, and applying it to my body I heard strange noise. "Are you okay?" I asked, looking up seeing her holding her stomach.
"I don't know." She swam to the edge of the pool and I quickly went to help her out.
"I think I'm just going to back to the penthouse." I quickly agreed with her after all she looked like she was going to empty her stomach anyway.
"Yeah, go take some medicine and lay down." I concluded, seeing her once lively colored skin turn a pale white.
"What about you, you coming?"
"No I think im going to stay awhile, but I'll come check on you when I'm done."
"Okay."
"I told you not to eat." I reminded her and she waved me off before going back inside with her belongings.
Sitting back down in my chair and I lay there for a little while before deciding the sun was too much for to handle. I went back for a little swim-after all I'm the only one here.
"Need company?"
Landon.
I flung my hair from around my face before squinting my eyes to see him.
He was standing by the entrance of the pool, looking at me. My eyes travel down to him being shirtless but he didn't have on the right attire just shorts but it could pass.
I then swim over to him to the edge he was currently standing at, he bent down putting his elbows on his knees. "What are you doing here?" I ask.
"What a millionaire can't go swimming?"
"You know what I meant."
"What did you mean?"
Ignoring him I lifted my hand up. "A little help." He reached down to take my hand to help me out of the water but I moved quicker. Pulling his hand hard, his whole body soon submerged in water and I moved my head to the side to reduce the water from hitting me so hard.

Laughing as he came back up from the water, I swam away from him. I really didn't know what his reaction would be so I was bracing myself.
His eyes held disbelief as his unkempt hair fell from its style, cover his face. He moved his hand up to shake out his hair before he narrows his eyes on me.
He then glides through the water towards me.
"You're dead." I was surprised that he was moving so gracefully even in water. So the leap frog could swim.
"You have to catch me first." I moved away from his advance.
"What makes you think I'm not going to?"
"That's cute that you think that." I smiled brightly at him and he stopped.
"Did you just call me cute?"
"No I said that's cute, but you can pass for it."
"I am not cute." He said it with so much distaste. He started in his advance again and I felt the edge of the pool hit my back. Crap. "Wait tell I get my hands on you."
"Is that a challenge?" I challenge him, trying to distract him if possible.
"I guess it is." He slowly gained on me and I needed to think fast.
I pushed off the wall deciding to see if an idea of mine would work as I approached him. He looked bewildered at first but he didn't stop me. Wrapping my hands around his neck, he didn't hesitant to pull my legs around his waist- the water slushing around us.
Okay my plan was not so perfect now that I had to ruin the moment.
Releasing his hair, I rested my puny hands on his shoulders before hovering my lips over his. "Challenge accepted." Unwrapping my legs from around him, I tried with all my might to dunk him back underneath the water. I was surprised I kept catching him off guard.
Swimming- well doggy puddling- back to the edge of the pool I quickly pulled myself out of the water. And it sure wasn't like how the models do it.
I could already hear the sound of his movement and picking up my belongings, I got the hell out of there.
Going to my room would be far too easy for him to catch me so I went into the kitchen, hiding behind the island. "Where is she?" He mocked walking into the penthouse, quickly cover my mouth as if they would help me.

I sure hope this counter could cover all of me, but I was disappointed to see my swimsuit betraying me as it ticked against the surface of the floor.
Taking a deep breath I waited to see if the close was clear, but feeling a hand grab onto my arm and pulling me up I knew I was caught. "You really didn't think this out did you?"
"Not really." I shrugged, trying to snatch my hand back to run.
"Where are you going in such a rush?"
"Uh.. upstairs."
"Not a chance, you owe me."
"Owe you? For what?"
"Those stunts you pulled."
"Stunt? Like a stunt double? I think you could fit that part." He ignored my attempt to try to escape again.
"You know you still never answered my question, and I don't like when my question go unanswered." He said, trying to distract me and it worked.
"Answer what question?" He was a mystery to me so if he asked me a question. I think I would remember.
"You know what I mean." He hinted.
"Maybe I do, maybe I don't." Playing coy was my new form of being witty. "Let me go!" I squealed as he bent down suddenly to throw me over his shoulder. My little baby hits to his back wasn't enough for him to put me back down.
Sitting me down as if I weighed nothing on the counter and my hands went to grip the countertop to keep myself stable.
My eyes widen as his hands went to my thighs spreading them to settle in between them. I brought my hand up to wipe my hair out of my face but his hand already beat me to it as he played with one my curls. "This brings back memories."
He really didn't laugh but his shoulders moved up and down as I heard his chuckle. "But this time I don't want the water Miss. Daniels."
"Then what do you want?" I folded my arms across my chest and I felt his muscular abs, he was really close. "You want juice?"
"No."
"A Capri sun?"
He rolled his eyes at me. "Well you're going to have to do-" I couldn't even finish my sentence before his lips shut me up and I obeyed silently.
His left hand wrapped around my waist bringing me closer to him and that's when I realized how close we were. I was hesitant just like the first as I tried to follow his lead, my hands clumsily unfolded as I secured them around his shoulders, leaning into him.
He did something unexpectedly as he bit down on my bottom lip tugging it back and my insides did a flip and so did my heart. Trying to pull away, he followed after me and his hand came up into my hair holding me in place before placing another sweet kiss to my lips.
Opening my eyes, I was met with hooded eyes and my heart jumped even more as he looked as if he wanted to devour me. His hand caressed up my leg but I quickly stopped him. "Down boy."
"Have you ever kissed anyone Embre?" He asked me out of the blue and I cocked my head to the side before straightening back up.
"Yes." I answered and he noticeably flinched back. But I continued. "You."
His eyebrows rose down in confusion but before he could ask me to elaborate we heard a noise coming from upstairs that sounded like someone just kicked a dog. That definitely brought me back to reality.
Taking his hands in mine, I pulled them away before connecting them in my palms. He still wanted a answer and for the first time I think I was ready.
"Yes."
"What?" He seemed legitimately confused.
"My answer is yes."
"Yes?" I nodded my head to confirm.
"You'll go on a date with me?" I just said-
Once again his lips claimed mine but it only lasted a few seconds. "Thank you." He whispered in between us and I answered in the same octave.
"You're welcome."
