《Hush | on hold》Chapter 10: killer

This book.... I'm loving it too much.

My head was pounding from all the times I'd hit it and his voice shouting was only making it worse. He was so desperately trying to take my clothes off, his grip on the knife wavered. He reached down for my pants and zi wrapped my legs around his waist locking him in place.
Of course he took that the wrong way and snickered, "Finally realize your place, huh?" I cringed as he started to grind his hips against me and feeling his boner press against me made me sick to my stomach.
I frowned and knocked the knife from his hand before stabbing it into his throat. His blood splattered all over me and his eyes widened. His mouth dropped open but only blood came spilling out. My hands were shaking when I let go of the knife and his body dropped. He's so heavy.
I pushed him off of me and backed away from his body before looking down at my hands. I was still shaking. Is he dead...? I couldn't manage to calm my heartbeat down, it only seemed to get faster. I slapped my hand over my mouth as I heard my front door open and I let out a small sob.
It was Giovanni and two other guys.
They all looked around the room and his eyes stopped when he saw me. I covered my body up and flinched when I saw the blood on me. He looked back toward Lorenzo's body and crouched down, "Did you do this?" He asked in a low voice but K was too afraid to answer him.
He turned his body over and it moved slightly, but he just stood up and shot him nearly five times, making me jump. He walked over toward me but I couldn't back up any more since my back was already up against the wall.

"D-dont touch me!" I yelled and he sighed, "Matteo... Sebastian, go wait in the car."
"But..."
"Go."
They both left the room and he turned back toward me. "It seems that I have to keep apologizing." He said softly. He pulled out a small cloth and wiped the blood from my face. He paused when he noticed me shaking and pulled away slightly, "I'm not going to hurt you. Did he touch you?"
"I- I killed him..." I whispered. My eyes teared up and I looked down at my hands, "I killed someone."
He pulled his gun out again and shot at the guy's body a few more times, "No, see look I killed him. Don't worry."
He removed his jacket and placed it over me. He lifted my head slightly and I flinched as I felt a stinging sensation across my neck. His knife probably cut me.
"Are you hurt anywhere else?" I probably wouldn't even be able to tell myself. My body is covered in someone else's blood...
"No." My voice barely came out that time. My head was only getting worse from me crying, and what's more, I felt lightheaded. I could see his lips moving but my brain wasn't registering anything he said. I fell forward into him and he caught me. My eyes closed but I'm pretty sure he was calling my name.
I wonder why he hasn't killed me yet. That's what he was planning on doing right? I made things difficult for him and on top of that I killed one of his men... So why did it feel like he was trying to comfort me instead? He apologized and even took the blame but... Why?
All those questions swarmed through my head as I passed out but I still couldn't find the answers to them.

I don't know how long I was out for but it felt like only a few seconds in my mind. My head was still throbbing when I woke up but I was looking up to a ceiling that I didn't recognize. I sat up slowly and looked down at myself. The blood was all washed off and my neck was bandaged up. I was wearing what looked like a hospital robe but... This room didn't look like a hospital room.
There was just this bed I was laying on and a window right across from it. There was an empty chair besides the bed and a small desk with flowers on it. The ceiling was decorated with angels on it- kind if what you'd see in a museum or something. I jumped when the door opened and I clenched my hands into fists to stop them from shaking.
My eyes widened.
"You're awake."

Keeper
When I first woke up I knew only three things: My name is Reiza, I have a seed I need to care for, and a song. I was told that the forest I woke up in was mine and that I needed to take control of it and protect it. The only things standing in my way are nature itself, a bunch of strange floating boxes, and a group of crazy powerful creatures known as the forest queens. Sounds pretty simple right? It might be if it weren't for the fact that I have absolutely zero memory, but hey at least I know my name. Also apparently my enemies aren't only inside the forest. Forces from the outside got news that somthing was going down in my new home and are coming to crash my party. Can I claim this forest? Can I protect it? And most importantly can I figure out who I am and what's going on? I'm not sure but I'm going to try. Hey everyone I'm fairly new to writing novles and this is my first time ever putting my work on a site like this one. I hope you enjoy the story and would appreciate your feedback. I would ask that you read through at least a couple of chapters before leaving a rating. I know I have some trouble with grammer and how I structure some of my sentences and while feedback on that is appreciated what I would value most is feedback on the story as a whole in terms of how the plot works and if you are enjoying it or not. For those unfamiliar with my writing style, Second Chances was my first attempt at writing. I'm not sure how much I learned in the process, except that readers get angry when you mess with characters they like! Warnings - I tend to info dump. I know I do this, I like slice of life novels that take time to unfold. So don't expect action, murder, and battles in every chapter, it isn't going to happen I prefer the first-person narrative. I will do an occasional POV shift, but it will never be done mid-chapter. I hope you enjoy the story, comments, ratings, and favorites are greatly appreciated!

Gangs From Another World
This story takes place in a world like our own where magic and high technology rule the day. This particular world is ruled by a feline race. The race is divided up into 12 clans (like Greek city-states), with their own territories, solar systems and planets. These 12 clans answer to the original Home World for external disputes, negations, emergencies or to direct military operations only. Within the time-frame of this story, a new Emperor has recently ascended the throne, approximately a year has past since the ascension. He was the previous ruler of the Clan Ya-kith-Thar or Clan founding #3, world of the artisan cats. Unfortunately, not all residents have benefited from technological wonders. The forgotten, who were not lucky enough to be Royal born or middle class and above, experience a hard life, like those of the colonial worlds. The poorer denizens see the technological marvels from their windows, and yet experience little of it. This is the story of one such group living in the ghetto of the Capital city, written by Horus Blackburn, leader of the North-Central Gang.
