The lights flickered back on and the music died down.

"Guys, look," the manager said. "This isn't working for me. If it's not working for me, it's not going to hit home with our LIVE AUDIENCE!" The manager cupped his hands over his mouth. "What do you all think? Do you want EVEN BETTER?"

The crowd began to clap their hands and stomp their feet once more.

"This dude is nuts," Kurt whispered in her ear. "I think the dancing is great. What do you think?"

Sara pursed her lips. "Well, I guess the dance couple could make it more interesting. I mean, right now, they do seem like they're just dancing. I wouldn't assume they're actually in love."

It was funny trying to say those words with Bentley standing so near to them. And from the angle of his head -- which he probably didn't realize -- it was obvious Bentley was eavesdropping.

"What do you think love looks like?" Sara asked Kurt. At the same time, from the corner of her eye, she watched Bentley's face twist into a confused, pained expression.

"Love in a dance?" Kurt asked. "Well, definitely not what those dancers are doing."

The manager was talking quietly with the dance couple on the floor below. He started to wave his hands around in the air, as if the conversation had become an argument.

The manager grabbed a microphone from one of the nearby stands. "Ladies and gentlemen. We need your help. My dance team requests to see what love looks like in a dance." He paced back and forth across the center stage. The flashing lights around the room seemed to make his body appear and disappear as he moved.

"If you can PROVE you're madly in love, the chosen, lucky couple will be shown on NATIONAL TELEVISION!" The manager rubbed his hands together. His eyes scanned the room. "Since there are SO many of you up there, let's keep it simple and choose a couple from VIP!" the manager said, switching the microphone to his other hand.

Sara saw there were several other VIP sections around the room. Her group was in section A.

The manager pointed to a VIP balcony. "You two! Come join us for a taping of Dance Baby, Dance!"

Sara started to clap her hands excitedly. The manager had pointed to an older couple in VIP section C.

A spotlight illuminated the older gentleman's smiling face. But as Sara watched, the old man shook his head. "We're too old to dance!" he called down from the balcony.

The manager burst out laughing. "Fair enough," he said into the mic. He suddenly pointed up at VIP section A. "You four. We need two of you to come down here and show us how it's done!" He started to clap his hands together. "And don't tell me 'no.' You're all young and full of energy!"

Ella screamed.

Kurt sucked in his breath.

Bentley and Sara exchanged surprised glances.

The woman who'd seated them, Anita, came bustling onto their balcony. She was followed closely by a cameraman!

The camera zoomed in on each of their shocked expressions.

"No way, I just ate!" Ella screeched.

Kurt ducked his head, hiding behind Sara.

"What are you doing?" she cried.

Kurt started to crack up. "Sacrificing you!" he laughed.
