《The Boy with the Beautiful Name》Pals

Sara flushed. She peeked around Charles's shoulder.

Sure enough, there was the boy with the beautiful name. He sat on her family's porch swing. He rested his head on the back of his arms and grinned massively at them in the driveway.

"Uh, Charles," Sara said. "The owner of this car is watching us from the front porch!"

Charles's eyes lit up. "Yeah, I knew that." He clearly hadn't. He'd been too transfixed by the flashy sports car.

Charles ran a hand through his hair. He tugged on Trash's leash to keep him from chasing a squirrel.

"This your ride, Bro?" Charles yelled. He thumbed his hand towards the car. He couldn't seem to take his eyes off it.

Bentley nodded. "That's right," he called back. He jumped up from the porch swing and strolled over to them. He had his hands stuffed deep into his pockets. He wore navy pants with a plaid jacket. He looked amazing, as always.

Sara tried not to stare at his face. Why did it seem, every time she saw him, he seemed to get even cuter than he had been the day before? And yesterday, he'd been wearing a TUXEDO. It was SO unfair!

She squinted, trying to see him more clearly in the bright sunlight.

Was Bentley nervous?

"You're one lucky SOB for owning a prize like this," Charles said.

If he only knew HOW many OTHER cars like this Bentley actually had.

Charles finally tore his gaze away from the car. He seemed taken aback by how tall Bentley was, now that he stood so close to him. Boys loved to size one another up when they first met.

"I'm going to take a wild guess. You're the brother from Yale," Bentley said.

Charles gave him a closed mouth smile. He was, in fact, wearing his dark blue Yale sweatshirt. "Yeah, man, nice to meet you. I'm Charles." The boys shook hands.

Bentley gave him his name.

"Wait a minute. You have the same name as your sports car?" He blinked several times. "AND...your last name is Prince?" Charles asked. He eyed Erin, then Pam, and then Sara. "So..." he said suspiciously. He narrowed his eyes. "Whose heart are you here to break?" He had no shame!

Bentley, caught off-guard, did his bell-like laugh.

"You DO NOT need to answer that, Bentley," Erin said, fuming. She took the liberty to smack Charles upside the head.

"Ouch, AARON with two A's. That HURT!" Charles rubbed his head.

Sara, feeling incredibly exposed with her bottom sticking up in the air on Charles's shoulder, did all she could to hide her face in her hands.

"Is that a Sara over your shoulder?" Bentley asked, chuckling.

Charles swatted her bottom with his hand. "Yep. It's a Sara."

Sara tried to wiggle off his shoulder. "WOULD YOU PLEASE QUIT IT!" she hissed, baring her teeth.

Charles hastily moved his hand away. "I take it back, man. This is a nasty viper. It BITES!"

Bentley's chocolate milk eyes flashed. "I'm sure I can handle it," he said, mysteriously.

Trash, having lost sight of his squirrel, suddenly spotted Bentley. He started to bark excitedly, tugging at his leash.

Bentley dropped down to his knees. He took the fluffy dog's head in his hands and rubbed him hard under the chin. "Good dog," he said. His voice sounded breathtakingly kind.

Sara swooned, hearing those words.

Trash's barking immediately ceased.
