The horse, seeming to have a mind of its own, followed the path to the right.

"Okay, if you say so," Sara said. She really hoped the horse knew where it was going. Because she definitely didn't.

To her surprise, the horse picked up speed. Instead of the slow steady walk she'd been used to, the horse began to trot.

Sara clutched tightly to the reins.

The path seemed to widen. The woods fell away to reveal an expansive meadow.

Wildflowers in various shades of pinks, yellows, purples, and reds shot out of the green grass.

"A meadow?" Sara asked.

The horse trotted over to a particularly lush looking section of grass and stuck its face into it, munching loudly.

"Oh. Is that why we're here? So you could take a detour to enjoy a late lunch?"

Sara groaned, crossing her arms.

"You know, it's my birthday," she told it. "You should be the one spoiling me, not yourself."

The horse continued to munch the vegetation. It looked so ridiculously happy, she decided to give it a few minutes.

Besides, the meadow they were in was breathtaking!

"I can't believe I've never seen this place," she said aloud. Then again, she didn't really spend a lot of time deep in the woods.

She hopped down off the horse and strolled leisurely through the wildflowers. Bending down, she began to collect random flowers and weave them into a crown.

"How lovely," she said, placing the crown on her head. "Now I feel just as beautiful as you, horse!"

A baby bunny hopped near her foot. She froze, watching it curiously.

The bunny sniffed her foot before it dashed away to hide in the grass.

The sun was so warm and bright here without all the shady trees.

Sara sprawled out amongst the flowers. She inhaled the sweet smell of fresh air, placing her arms behind her head. Closing her eyes, she imagined herself in a magical, fantasy world. Instead of her stubborn, albeit beautiful, horse, there was a majestic unicorn. And she, herself, was a damsel in distress. A lovely princess who'd innocently lost her way in the thick, dense forest.

She giggled to herself, wishing Pam was with her. Pam could appreciate these fantasies. Erin, on the other hand, was more of a realist.

Without meaning to, Sara drifted into a deep, relaxing sleep.

Some time later, she awoke to the feeling of something tickling her face.

She blinked open her eyes, sitting up. Luckily the sun was still out, indicating it wasn't as late as she feared.

The horse, to her astonishment, sat on the ground beside her. Its long, silky mane blew in the breeze, brushing against her arms.

"You darling, you stayed with me," Sara said. She flung her arms around the horse, hugging it tightly.

The horse bobbed its head up and down excitedly.

"What is it? What are you all hyped up about?" Sara asked, stroking its face.

She glanced to the side, and went still.

The boy with the beautiful name stood with his horse, silently watching her.
