《The Boy with the Beautiful Name》The Game 1

The stadium was jam packed for a Thursday night.

Everyone from Sara's high school seemed to be there.

A separate section reserved for the visiting team was filled with Parkson High students and their parents. They wore bright green, their school's official color.

The varsity soccer team sported bright red shirts and navy shorts. Given the town was Red, Connecticut, the choice of color was certainly fitting.

Sara sat between Pam and Erin in the bleachers. It was a cool night. The moon shone brightly in the sky, casting the spectators and athletes in a ghostly, eerie glow.

The stadium lights lit up the entire field like a stage. Rock music blasted from the speakers around the bleachers. The soccer team had clearly chosen the music. It was literally like sitting at a rave.

The soccer teams were already out on the field. A few guys stretched on the grass while others warmed up in pairs, tossing the ball back and forth to each other and trapping it midair.

"Ooh, look at Trevor. He looks so great!" Erin said proudly.

Trevor, wearing a fuchsia long-sleeve goaltender shirt, was practicing his diving saves as Dan, one of the captains, kicked soccer balls at him.

Ella and her group of worshipping admirers sat down on the row of seats in front of Sara.

Trish had her hair in a bun, held together with about a thousand barrettes.

Kimber and Dalia were all smiles when they saw Sara sitting behind them.

Layla, her face just as pinched as ever, ignored Sara as she inched closer to Ella. She pulled out her phone and started to take duck face selfies.

Sara almost wanted to wave her new phone in Layla's face. But she decided that idea was too immature. She also didn't want to give Layla an excuse to grab her phone and risk breaking it again like she had at Ella's Sexy Sleepover.

"Who's ready for male hotness?" Ella said. She flipped her pale blonde hair over her shoulder. Cupping her hands around her mouth she yelled, "GO BENTLEY PRINCE!!!"

Trish let out a loud shriek beside her, causing all of the girls to laugh hysterically.

Bentley was in the midst of running a sprint and didn't seem to hear them.

"I'm going to go and wave at him. I want to be sure he knows where I'm sitting," Ella told her friends.

She jumped up and walked down to the front of the bleachers. Leaning over the side of the stands, she waved her arms frantically in the air. "BENTLEY! BENTLEY LOOK OVER HERE!"

He glanced over to Ella. With a quick wave back, he turned and followed his team to the other side of the field.

Ella, looking as smug as ever in her Red High School varsity jacket, marched back up to the stands to take her place in the center of her friends.

"She's certainly pleased with herself," Erin mumbled beside Sara.

Sara couldn't help the slight giggle. While Ella was nice to her, they were by no means besties. And besides, Ella made it clear on a daily basis she was jealous of Sara.

But it really wasn't Sara's fault that Bentley made it a little too obvious when he'd stare openly at her.

Her phone beeped. She pulled it out of her bag.
