Bentley knocked softly on the passenger door of Sara's Jeep.

Reluctantly, she rolled down the window.

"Who's the spy now?" he said. His eyes were back to that creamy milk chocolate. The corners of his mouth stretched into a teasing smirk.

Sara shifted uneasily in her seat. She couldn't believe he'd caught her.

"What makes you so sure I was spying?" she asked.

As if that would throw him off. Nope!

He leaned against the base of the window, fidgeting his hands on the door.

Her heart did a funny little flip as she tried not to stare directly at his adorable, chiseled face.

"By the way, what you did for that girl was really kind," she blurted.

He grinned wickedly. "Spy." He tugged open the Jeep's door and climbed onto the seat. He shut the door firmly behind him.

Sara forgot to breathe. All she could do was sit and gape at him.

"I need a ride," he said. He angled the passenger chair backwards, and snapping his seatbelt into place, tucked his arms behind the headrest.

Sara frowned. "The guy with more sports cars than anyone else on this planet needs a ride?"

Bentley shifted in his chair. He gestured to the parking lot in front of them. "Do you see my car anywhere?"

Sara groaned. She scanned the parking lot. Sure enough, his car was definitely missing. "Okay. Fine. Where's your car?"

He tucked his soccer bag under his feet. "My car drove off and left me."

Sara wanted to burst out laughing. What he'd said sounded so ridiculous. "Look, I get that you have gazillionaire automotive technology at your disposal. But I can't believe your car would leave you stranded." She crossed her arms.

Bentley sighed. "Yeah, well, it happens now and then. Bad Boy Bentley has an attitude. He probably saw some cute convertible and went after it."

Sara rolled her eyes. "Okay. So what did you do before when you didn't have a car?"

He turned the full intensity of his bright white smile on her. His massive shoulders seemed cramped in the small seat. As if his huge frame barely fit inside her Jeep. "That's what my helicopter is for," he said, as if that was the most apparent answer.

Sara wouldn't give up. For some reason, she was in a bratty mood. It probably had something to do with seeing him kissing Ella. She hated to witness that. "Why don't you call for your helicopter? Unless, of course, he flew off after some sexy plane."

Bentley chuckled. He gave the side of the door a soft pat with his fist. "Will you please stop talking and just drive? You sound like a girl."

Sara started the Jeep. "Well, thanks. Didn't realize that wasn't obvious," she said.

Bentley laughed again. He tried to loosen the seatbelt across his shoulder. It looked really tight on him.

"I'm sure Ella or one of the guys on your soccer team would've driven you," she said.

Bentley took awhile to respond. "I wanted to go with you."

She mentally pocketed that statement to think about later.

She drove out of the parking lot and headed for the main road. She wished Bentley would play music. She needed to drown out the chaos of voices that were screaming inside her head.
