《The Boy with the Beautiful Name》Tender

When Sara opened her eyes, it was still late at night. She was aware of a heavy weight pressing down on her. She tried to get her bearings, momentarily disoriented at the unfamiliar surroundings.

She blinked several times, waiting for her vision to clear. Looking down, she noticed the boy with the beautiful name had fallen asleep with his head resting on her chest. His chin was tipped upwards towards her face. His warm breath tickled her neck, shooting pleasurable, almost embarrassingly wonderful shivers along her skin.

He looked so peaceful when he slept. His cheeks were tan and smooth, the cherubic kind you want to pinch between your fingers. The delicate curls of his hair had grown slightly longer now and fell carelessly across his closed eyes. His little nose really was as cute as a button. Even his dark lashes made him seem sweet and innocent.

Sara sighed.

I wonder what he's dreaming about? she thought. Or, more importantly, WHO he's dreaming of?

While she hoped it was her, she'd likely never know. He was impossible to read. And worse, he refused to truly open up to her. She had no idea what his hopes were. His ambitions. Or even his fears.

Gazing down at his handsome face, she felt the choking pain of despair. Why couldn't more boys be this handsome? Why weren't more boys as incredible as Bentley-Mr. Perfect-Prince?

His lips moved the tiniest fraction of an inch. She could see he was in a very deep sleep.

As she watched him, it occurred to her that she wasn't the first girl to see him this way. No doubt Ella had, too. And his two wonder twin models. Not to mention the countless beauties of one night stands and various flings he'd entertained over the years.

Still, the way he slept cuddled up against her chest felt extremely intimate and personal. She couldn't deny that fact. Was it possible he slept this way with all of his girls? She racked her brain, trying to recall something her brother Charles had said. He'd been bragging on the phone to one of his buddies about a girl he'd hooked up with.

She shut her eyes, trying to remember the conversation.

"...Yeah, man," Charles had laughed. "When I was through with that easy chick, soaked in my awesome sweat, I just rolled away and clocked out. I don't cuddle what I don't feel. You get me, bro?"

Thankfully Sara's eyes were still closed. She hadn't realized Bentley had woken up. She heard him curse under his breath. Was he mad he'd fallen asleep on top of her? Keeping her eyes tightly shut, she prayed he couldn't hear her pounding heart.

When she didn't move, he likely assumed again that she wasn't awake.

For her, it was super tiring to lay absolutely still, pretending to be asleep. With him so close to her, she feared she'd give herself away. And that would be beyond humiliating.

By the tiny little shivers that raced up and down the sides of her neck and face, she knew he was staring at her. Her entire body could literally feel his eyes roaming over her. Cool air conditioning blew across her thighs and stomach. She could only guess that her short skirt had rolled up to expose who knows what. And her already loose blouse, no doubt, was likely revealing more than she had planned to share.

Just the thought that she might be lying there exposed almost made her sit up right then and there and adjust her clothing.

His breathing was faster now, like small quick gasps.

She heard the bed creak slightly as he positioned himself over her.

His warm mouth hovered above her exposed belly. His breath tickling her skin. One of his fingers traced a heated, burning trail along the side of her hip.

Her body suddenly shuddered, reacting to his touch.

Startled, Bentley whipped his hand away.

She made herself roll over onto her side. Now that she wasn't facing him, it was a lot easier to pretend to be asleep. She didn't have to work so hard to keep her face neutral.

He remained motionless for some time, silently watching her.

After awhile, she decided maybe he had fallen back to sleep. But then she heard him move towards her again.

He lightly kissed her shoulder before settling back down on his pillows.
