There was a very long staircase that descended down from the front entrance to the lower level of the nightclub.
The room was huge. It was very dark except for the colorful neon lights etched into the dark walls.
It was hard to tell how many people were inside the club. But a quick glance indicated there were a couple hundred. And everyone wore a Halloween costume.
"This place is WILD!" Erin said laughing.
"Not as wild as I am," Trevor grinned. He grabbed Erin's waist and hauled her off the ground over his shoulder.
Erin started to giggle loudly. "Put me down, you Big Bad Wolf!"
"Say please," Trevor said.
"PLEASE!" Erin laughed.
Trevor dropped Erin back onto the ground.
She pretended to dust herself off. "See what I have to deal with, Sara?"
Sara rolled her eyes, smiling.
A glittery bar was set up to the right side, a bit higher than the rest of the floor. Groups of people sat at barstools or stood near the bar, gossiping in small circles.
To the left was a massive dance floor. Parked in each of the four main corners were roped off lounge areas.
At the back of the dance floor, higher up on a platform, was an entire row of couches.
A D.J. with headphones bobbed his head up and down to the eerie Halloween-themed music that blasted throughout the room.
Jack-O'-Lanterns with fiery eyes burned on the ground in front of the D.J. Every so often, colorful smoke would rise up from around the huge speakers.
The crowd would shout and clap their hands with glee. Their faces would disappear momentarily as the entire room was engulfed in thick vapory smoke.

"Over here!" Trevor shouted. It was almost impossible to hear anything anyone said over the loud music.
Sara's eyes took in the very tall and slender women that sashayed past her in their platform heels. Everyone she saw was incredibly beautiful.
A girl a little older than Sara in a polka dot leopard costume was giggling with a guy in a tiger costume.
A group of guys wore the same bright orange swimsuits and top hats. It looked like they were dressed as characters from a comedy film.
Sara walked slowly through the crowd, hoping to not lose sight of her friends ahead of her.
A guy with a mohawk grinned at her as she moved by him. He had a gold grille in his teeth. "Hey nurse! Save a needle. Take a shot!" He offered her a drink.
Sara laughed and quickly shook her head. She hurried past him, following Trevor's werewolf costume along the outer edge of the dance floor. They walked up a few steps and headed to the very back section of the nightclub. This corner area overlooked the entire dance floor.
More bouncers stood guard in front of several roped off couches.
Trevor waved his wristband at the men.
The bouncers nodded and stepped to the side.
"Kiddos! Come party!" Jack held up several bottles before dropping them back down into the ice buckets set out on a table beside him.
There were several women in extremely revealing bunny costumes sprawled around Jack and his band mates on the couch.
Sara was glad now that she hadn't decided to wear a rabbit costume, too.
One of the women smiled at Sara. She realized it was Jack's girlfriend. Sara smiled warmly back at her.

"Here. Drink up!" Erin shoved a glass at Sara.
"Is it good?" Sara asked, trying to be heard over the loud music.
Erin downed her glass. "It's amazing! Tastes like pineapples and sugar, girl! And lots of confidence!"
Both girls cracked up.
Sara took a tentative sip. "Whoa! You're right. It really is fruity and sugary."
Trevor had wedged himself beside his handsome uncle to chat.
Chad and Dan were on cloud nine. The boys had boldly approached a few of the costumed bunny women.
Chad showed one of the girls with red hair how to make the parrot talk on his shoulder.
The girl tipped back her head to laugh.
Dan had leaned in and pretended to bite another girl's neck with his vampire fangs.
The girl gave him a peck on the cheek, smiling.
Erin busily re-filled her glass of alcohol from the ice bucket.
Sara decided to find the restroom to reapply her makeup.
A song she liked came on over the speakers.
"Oh, oh!" Sara said. She clapped her hands and did a spin around a group of kids. The group applauded and cheered.
Sara blushed and did a little bow.
Nightclubs were so much fun! she thought.
As she wove through the tangle of bodies, she passed by a girl dressed as a witch. The girl raised her drink to take a sip and sloshed her drink all over Sara's costume!
