《Her Revenge》49

I entered my appartment and found Sean sitting on my couch along with my mother. Upon seeing me, he stood up and walked towards me before engulfing me in a hug.
"I'm glad you're okay." He whispered, "Why aren't you with them though?" He broke the hug and stared at me.
"H-he blames me for it all...he says that I'm the reason that Blake is in the state he is...he says that none of this would've happened if I didn't lie- he said that..." I paused, "I'm like him. I'm not like him, Sean. I- I j-just wanted to have my revvenge."
"I'm sorry..." He sighed before hugging me again. "I'm sorry...it's all my fault. I should've never sent you there.'
"It's not your fault. I-I told him that I hated him...but I don't..." I whispered, breaking away from the hug. I stared at Sean with a fearful expression in my face. Sean's eyes widened when he realized what I meant.
"You have fallen for him." The words flew out of his mouth. I nodded, tears started pooling out of my eyes before I could control them.
"I love him" I whispered, before shaking my head instantly, "I can't love him-he hates me right? I hate him too- I- am heartless, right? He said that himself. I'm-"
I was cut off my Sean, "Stop." He said softly, cupping my face while his thumb were wiping the tears away. "It's okay to be in love, Lea. It's human. So what if you're in love with him? Enzo doesn't hate you and deep down, you know it."
"No he does. I saw it in his eyes, they held hatred for me. He called me a liar, a heartless assassin-that's not how you call your loved ones." I scoffed, my voice turning emotionless again. I then diverted my attention to my mother.

"I'm glad you're alive." I said, walking towards her. She smiled before pulling me into a hug. I instantly hugged her back, feeling safe and home again. "I missed you, so much, my sweetheart. I love you- I'm sorry, I'm sorry for everything.."
"It's okay. It's not your fault. I don't blame you, I don't blame anyone. I-I am leaving." I said, hearing gasps from both my mother and Sean.
"What do you mean?" Sean asked, almost shouting making me snap my head in his direction. I shot him an apologetic look. "I need time alone, for myself. I need a break-from this life. I'm going somewhere far away for a while. But I'll be back-one day."
"Okay so where are we going, bestie?" Sean asked with a grin which I knew was fake.
He knew that i would be going alone yet he hoped that he was wrong; that I wasn't going alone.
"I am leaving the country, alone." I stated, stressing on the words 'I' and 'alone'.
"But why?" He asked, with sadness in his voice. My mother was already tearing up and it pained me to see them like that but I had to. For once, I wanted to know what it felt like to have a normal life again. I would've taken my mother with me but Alessio needed her too.
I wanted to live a life where, I wasn't known as an assassin; where I was just a normal woman...working her ass off to be able to pay her rent and all. But I would never do that, of course. I was too lazy to do all that.
I was going to Australia; I was moving there. I already had a home there, a large one, at that. I would live there, alone, for a while. And by while, I meant a very long time.

"I want to live a normal life even if it's just for a while. Please, understand and let me go. Don't try to find me because you won't be able to. Actually, I'm leaving tomorrow. I'll meet Alessio before I go. I'm tired and sleepy, so I'll just go to sleep. Bye." I then went to my room and closed the door before taking a bath. After taking a bath and putting on clothes, I took a paper and a pen before sitting on my bed.
Then I wrote a goodbye letter, to Enzo's family. I was leaving my mother, Sean and Alessio for a while but Enzo and his family, that was a forever thing. I would never see them again- they would never see me again and I was going to make sure of it.
With that, I began writing my letter.

Of Men and Dragons, Book 1
Book 1 is now available on Kindle, or in paperback/hardcover! You can buy it here! Jack crash-landed on a planet where the natives are seven-foot-tall carnivorous cat-lizards currently somewhere between stone and bronze age. The good news is the natives think the ship that crashed into their mountain is a dragon and are steering clear of it. The bad news is they just left one of their own as a sacrifice to appease the beast. No matter what Jack and his AI co-pilot decide, his life just got a lot more complicated... ATTENTION: This is soft sci-fi rather than hard sci-fi, hence why I chose that tag. For those of you unfamiliar with the distinction, here's what Wikipedia had to say. 1. It explores the "soft" sciences, and especially the social sciences (for example, anthropology, sociology, or psychology), rather than engineering or the "hard" sciences (for example, physics, astronomy, or chemistry). 2. It is not scientifically accurate or plausible; the opposite of hard science fiction. Soft science fiction of either type is often more concerned with character and speculative societies, rather than speculative science or engineering. The term first appeared in the late 1970s and is attributed to Australian literary scholar Peter Nicholls.
