《Her Revenge》51

|Alessio's POV|
It's been twenty four hours since Lea left. She told me that she was leaving for a while and told me that she was going to Australia. She told me not to tell anyone and I promised that I won't. She told me that I could take over the Russian Mafia. It was supposed to be hers, legally, but she didn't want it so she told me to take it.
She said she needed a break, a vacation of some sort. I guess, she really needed it, since past four years, all she's done is hunting down our—my parents' murderers.
Anyway, I let her go. I was going to miss her, dearly, that's for sure. The fact that her and Enzo aren't a couple—scratch that—they didn't even date or go on a date—sucks.
I do not usually ship people and all that crap. But these two were perfect for each other and everyone could see that unless they were blind.
The first time I actually shipped two person together, my ship ended up sunking.
I was in the cell, torturing the life out of Vladimir when I heard footsteps. It was Enzo and the rests who walked in.
Vladimir was chained. He had blood everywhere on his naked body—not fully—he had his boxers on. Nobody wanted to see his ugly old dick.
I was torturing him for having murdered my father, tortured my mother and rendered me and my sister without a family and I was also torturing him for what he did to Blake and Enzo's sister who I didn't know.
"Tell me, Vladimir, why did you kill my dad?" I asked, clenching my jaw. He smirked, despite his broken jaw.
"He had something that belonged to me." He replied, still smirking.
"What?" I furrowed my brows in confusion. What could my dad have had that belonged to Vladimir?

Vladimir chuckled, "Y-Your mother, Elizabeth. I loved her, I still do but she doesn't seem to give a damn."
My eyes widened at his words. He loved my mother. Of course he did—that's why he didn't kill her. That was why he had been been keeping her with him all this time, he loved her but in his own way.
"Well...Vladimir...since your Mafia is now without a leader..." I trailed off. His eyes widened as he understood where I was making— me smirk.
"Wow..." Antonio breathed out, standing beside me, "I'm surprised you haven't killed him."
"Yet" I added making him smirk. Enzo then walked towards Vladimir and stared at his pitiful state for a while before turning to face me. "What were you saying about the Russian Mafia?"
I clicked my tongue before staring back at Vladimir. "Our prisoner here —was offering me to take his position —and become the leader of the Russian Mafia."
Vladimir clenched his jaw and began shaking his head, "I never said that!"
"This file says otherwise." I said, moving towards a small table found in the cell. I removed a file from the drawer and walked back towards Vladimir.
"What the hell is this?!" He shouted, trying to come forth but the chains held him in place.
In my hands, were the transfer papers. Vladimie transferred everything that was in his name, including his company and the Russian Mafia, in my name. Actually, he didn't do it. I did it.
I opened the file and held it In front of his face so that he could read.
"Can you read or did I hit your eyes too hard? Do you need me to read it for you?" I mocked.
"No...no...no... You can't do this..." He began mumbling while shaking his head. The others raised their brows at me questioningly apart Enzo. I smirked before giving them the file. Enzo already knew about this plan of mine.

"I'm the new leader of the Russian Mafia." I stated with a smirk. I had Vladimir's signature forged on the papers as well as others. I did everything I had to and here we were...I became the new leader.
The whole reason why I did that was to stop the 'war' or 'argument' between the Italian Mafia and the Russian Mafia. Enzo and I would became allies and unstoppable.
The Italian Mafia as well as the Russian Mafia lost a lot of their men in the little battle that happened twenty four hours ago. It was tragic, really. A 'war' that shouldn't have happened. Lives that were lost in vain but they started it.
So I dealt with it.
"You ruined my life!" Vladimir cried.
"We were only returning the favour." Enzo and I said at the same time which wasn't suprising at all. We tended to have the same thoughts almost all the time.
You know what they say;
Great minds think alike.
"I didn't...I..." Vladimir didn't know what to say. He only cried harder and harder with every passing second.
"Well..." I clasped my hands together before turning to the others, "let's let the man mourn in peace."
They all nodded at what I said before we left the basement. We went to celebrate our victory, or so we, thought.
Anyway, ladies and gentlemen, meet me, Alessio Romano, the eighteen year old leader of the Russian Mafia and world's best hitman. It's a pleasure to meet you.

Apollyon's Curse
Within the pages of folklore and fantasy, tales of people who chase after the dream of eternity, of living forever, rarely find a happy ending. They are either struck by the grim truth of reality, give up, and return to mortality or face a ghastly realization of their wishes. The latter often the worse fate, as they come to realize, only far too late, that what they sacrificed was worth far more than the time they gained. Ultimately, the common thread in these stories is that “immortality is as much a curse as it is a blessing”. People either realize it early and give up or are doomed to inevitably face its consequences. In the world Enrich lives in, that saying does hold merit. Every pathway towards eternal life has shackles of its own. They bring those high above down to the ground, evening the playing field. It is thanks to these fundamental laws that ambitious mortals are able to defy the heavens and achieve immortality themselves. The variety of methods result in each of these bindings varying in intensity and degree of freedom. Enrich’s path doesn't break this trend. Though, after what he did to himself, most wouldn’t even consider him a living thing anymore. On the day of his ascension, a world’s worth of souls were melted and recast. On that day, the human’s path had reached its conclusion, recast into Apollyon. An artifact, a weapon, is eternal, after all. As for the curse? The payment will be made, as it must. So why not offload the curse to someone else? Mortals throw their lives away for all manner of petty reasons, noble or otherwise, especially in desperation. Eventually, someone will be willing to foot the bill. Most will if given the chance. The bait is far too tempting, after all. Power, status, knowledge. All at their fingertips. If only they say “yes”. And Apollyon is very willing to help any lost souls. If they give up everything in return, of course.
