《All the Feels》Chapter 21

Our girls' night had finally arrived. I was excited to hang out with Emily, let loose a little bit and enjoy an evening out. I didn't really have a lot of female friends and after Sarah had Willow, we really didn't get to go out often. Sarah always worked so hard and then when I lost her, I really didn't enjoy going a little crazy anymore. But knowing Emily needs this as much as me just hardens my resolve to relax and have a good time. Willow is over the moon about having another sleepover and seeing her get along so well with another little girl is just the icing on the cake.
"You ready, angel?" Billy asks from my bedroom door as he eyes my outfit hungrily.
"Yep, just about." I say, slipping a necklace around my neck. He lets out a little groan as he runs his hands along my body.
"Why are you wearing this, baby? I should be the only one seeing you look so fucking gorgeous." He whispers in my ear and I chuckle at his words, ignoring the way my body comes to life under his touch.
"Em and I decided to dress up a little. Add to the fun." I say with a shrug. Billy leaves kisses up my shoulder and neck where he sucks firmly on my skin. His hands tease my body, running gently over my belly tracing down to my pussy. I groan and lean back into him as he sucks harder on my neck, biting down gently. I close my eyes and tilt my head to give him better access until he pulls away with a deviant chuckle.
"There. Now everyone will know you're taken." He says, proudly eyeing the purple splotch he left on my neck. I gape in shock at him, smacking him playfully.
"I can't believe you did that!" I squeal, but he just gives me a smug grin.
"Really? You can't?" He asks with humor in his voice and I grunt at him, rolling my eyes.
"I guess I'm not that surprised." I say and he chuckles, pulling me in for a warm hug. I sigh and relax into his hold, just as Willow's excited footsteps patter down the hall.
"Mom! Is it time to go?" She yells and Billy lets me go, looking over my head at the excited little girl. His eyes soften when he sees her, a warm smile on his face that makes my heart ache with affection for him.
Or maybe it's love.
I push the thought away as I turn to face Willow. I'll obssess over the thought later.
"Yes, baby. It's time to go." I say and watch as Billy storms towards her, scooping her in his arms and spinning her like an airplane down the stairs as she squeals in delight. I laugh a little, wondering how this could get any more perfect.

Billy drops Emily and I off at the bar, giving us both a stern talking to that makes us giggle like teenagers before we get out of the car.
"Call me when you're ready. I'll come pick you up." Billy says.
"Yes, daddy." I say back, leaning in to kiss him. He gives me a surprised look and I bark out a laugh when I realize what I said.
"Didn't realize you were into that, angel." He says and I chuckle again.
"Just wait till I get a few cocktails in me. Who knows what else you'll find out." I purr in his ear, swaying my hips as I walk away from the car, turning back to give him a seductive smile. He grins back, visibly adjusting himself in the car and I tilt my head back to laugh.
"You two are so good together." Emily says with a warm smile that makes my heart feel full.
"He's amazing. I never thought I would find someone like him. He's sweet, kind, thoughtful, amazing with Willow, even more amazing in bed." I ramble and Emily laughs.
"I thought the same when I found Jax. I think I fell in love with him because of his love for Ellie. His devotion to her. It was incredible to watch." She says and I nod.
"We are lucky bitches!" I shout and Emily laughs.
"I'll drink to that!" She says, holding up her drink and we clink our glasses together.
We drink a few rounds and decide to dance. We walk out to floor and sway our hips, getting lost in the music as we enjoy the moment. I was so entranced in what I was doing, I didn't realize how close I was to anyone else until I felt hands around my waist. I turned suddenly, nearly losing my balance.
"Careful, babe." A male voice says and I look up at a man I don't know. I try to push his hands off of me, but they don't budge.
"Don't touch me!" I shout, but he just laughs and pushes his body closer.
"I just wanted to dance with you. You looked so good out here." He says and I turn to find Emily still swaying to the music, her eyes closed not realizing what's happening.
"I said don't touch me! I don't want to dance with you." I shout back. The man's hands tighten around me, digging painfully into my sides. I shove him again when I see a hand land on his shoulder, pulling him roughly back from me.
"She said not to touch her!" Billy yells, his face contorted in anger at the guy. The guy holds his hands up in a non threatening way and he stalks off. Billy looks back at me and I take a few deep breaths, trying to calm my pounding heart.

"You alright, angel?" He asks and I nod, tears threatening my eyes as I launch myself at him.
"Woah, it's ok, baby. I got you." He says and I sniffle, wiping the moisture from my eyes.
"I told him to stop!" I yell over the music and his eyes soften as he cups my cheek and pecks a kiss to my lips.
"I know, angel. I trust you." He says.
"Then why are you here?" I ask and he smiles a little.
"Emily is a light weight. Jax was worried so I said I'd keep an eye on you guys. I've been sitting in the corner just watching. But when I saw that guy put his hands on you and not letting go when you pushed him away I came over." He says and I nod, pushing up on my toes to kiss him. I try to shove my tongue in his mouth, but he pulls away with a warm laugh.
"You taste like vodka, angel." He says and I smile back, my body feeling light and serene now that he's here.
"I think I should get you two trouble makers home." He says, watching Emily nearly tip over on her heels.
"Will you stay with me?" I ask and he nods.
"Of course. Nowhere I'd rather be." He says, grabbing my hand and walking over to Emily. He has to nearly pull her out of the bar and wrangle her into the backseat. I'm much more compliant even though I can tell I'm extremely drunk.
"I had so much fun, Ains!" Emily says excitedly from the back seat.
"Oh my god me too!" I yell back and she giggles as she leans her head against the seat.
"We should do this all the time!" She says and Billy chuckles.
"Just don't puke in my car please, Ems." He says and she scoffs.
"I'm not even as drunk as you think I say I am." She slurs and he laughs again. We pull up in front of her house and Billy turns to me.
"I'm gonna take her drunken ass inside. You don't move until I get back. Understood?" He asks sternly. I nod and salute him.
"Yes, sir!" I say and smiles wide at me.
"I may like that more than the daddy thing." He says coyly, kissing my cheek as I giggle wildly.
He gets me home and tucks me into bed. I let my hand slither down his body, trying to grip his cock through his sweatpants, but he bats my hand away and I pout up at him.
"Why not?" I ask and he chuckles, kissing my forehead.
"You are much too drunk for that." He says and I scoff.
"I am not!" I say defiantly and he shakes his head.
"Not tonight, sweet girl. Just come here and let me hold you." He murmurs quietly. I sigh and give up my fight, snuggling into his side and breathing in content as I drift off to sleep.
I wake up much later when the sun is shining through the windows. It hurts my eyes and I groan, rolling over and putting my pillow over my face.
"Angel?" I hear Billy's voice and I peek out from under my shield.
"What?" I croak out and his warm laughter filters through the room, soothing my raging headache.
"Take these." He says, handing me some aspirin and a glass of water. I swallow them down greedily before plopping back on the bed.
"I have to go to the shop. A pipe burst last night and Jax needs help cleaning it up. I got Rory's number from your phone, he's gonna pick up Willow and hang out with her today so you can recuperate." He says, obviously amused by my current state.
"Thank you, baby." I say, sitting up a little to throw my arms around his neck, tucking my face into him. He kisses my temple and runs his fingers through my hair before tucking me back into bed.
"I'll check on you later, okay?" He asks and I nod. He gives me a peck on the lips before disappearing and I hear the door shut behind him. I settle back into bed, nestling down in the covers.
I feel like I've only been asleep for a few minutes when the doorbell rings. I look at the clock confused, realizing it's actually been a couple of hours. The doorbell rings again and I huff, standing up and wrapping a robe around me I patter down the stairs and whip the door open annoyed.
My heart drops at who I see.
"Travis? What the fuck are you doing here?"
"I came for my daughter." He responds.

It follows his struggles with self-worth, and his interpersonal relationships between his family, friends, coworkers and partners. This novella is in it's first draft so if it's a bit rough around the edges that's why. I just want to get some feedback on it as well as what's working. Each chapter can be very stylistically different from each other as a means of separating the different months that each chapter takes place to better put the reader into the headspace of Arthur.
