Chapter 41 - Rehearsing A Scene for Boss Lu (2)

Today, Liao YaYun had on delicate makeup and a suit that was even more professional looking than usual. The fitted suit fully accentuated the mature curvature of her body.

She cleared her throat and said, “Lu JingYan of Oushi will be touring our campus today. I hope that you will all focus on the rehearsal today and give it your best.”

Before Liao YaYun was even done talking, sounds of exclamation could be heard throughout the rehearsal room. All of the girls blushed.

“Ooooooooh. Did I hear it correctly? Did Instructor Liao just said that Lu JingYan will be here to watch our rehearsal?”

Zhao Wan thought about Yifu Building and chuckled, “Do you think he will name the building JingYan Building, dedicated to silent film?”*

“Alright, alright.” Liao YaYun clapped her hands in an effort to quite everyone down. “Now that we have learned that some big shot will be here, let’s focus on our rehearsal and up our efficiency.”

After Liao YaYun’s words, the students settled down and were more motivated and dedicated than usual in their rehearsal.

Forty minutes later, the play moved onto its climax and Chi Ying needed to run into the middle of the stage to give Xiao Hang a hug. She was so into the role that tears rolled down her cheeks and she had perfectly conveyed the emotions of meeting after experiencing life and death.

Xiao Hang’s emotion was affected by her. His heart trembled and he hugged her all the tighter.

The students that were not on stage all waited on one side and were slightly stunned by the scene. Xiao Hang was a slightly known little fresh meat. Anyone who could act with him, especially hugging scenes like this, would be considered to have the longer end of the stick. Yet, when Chi Ying was on stage now, all of the other girls’ envy dissipated. They were simply so drawn into the play that they had forgotten about anything else outside of it.

Liao YaYun was also greatly impressed by this and a smile of contend appeared on her.

This was when the principal walked in with Lu JingYan. He was wearing black suit, which made his eyes seemed even more profound and handsome.

The principal was full of smile while giving him the formal spiel. “Boss Lu, these are our seniors rehearsing for their graduation play.”

“Mmm.”

The students exchanged looks with each other and then all screeched inside of themselves.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH, IT’S LU JINGYAN!!

And they could see him from a distance closer than at the banquet previously!!

OOOOOOOHHHHHHH. HE’S SO TALL AND SO HANDSOME!!!

And he’s so goshdarn restrained!!!!

Zhao Wan, blinking, her body tensed, quietly shuffled closer and closer toward the entrance area.

Qu YiZhe, the second male lead / partner of Zhao Wan, grabbed her by the arm and mouthed to her, “What are you doing?”

Zhao Wan gave him a stare. “Going to look at handsome boy!”

Liao YaYun waved her hand to pause the rehearsal.

Chi Ying pulled herself out of Xiao Hang’s arms and walked over to Zhao Wan. She wiped away her tears and her eyes were still a little puffy.

She looked up and noticed that Lu JingYan seemed to be looking at her and looked back at him. Perhaps it was just her imagination. It has been a month since she had last saw him and he seemed to have lost some weight. It must be hard running a large company like his.

Lu JingYan’s look was as dark and intense as it was. Such as an abyssal ocean. She felt uneasy and looked away again. Her eyes wandered aimlessly at the ground.

Right then, the principal said to Liao YaYun, “Rehearse a scene for Boss Lu.”

Liao YaYun replied politely, “Okay.”

She was very proud of the outcome over the last scene between Chi Ying and Xiao Hang. She knew that very few students could have such comprehension of a scene and able to enact it so well. She turned to the students and said to them, “Let’s rehearse the climax scene again.”
