Chapter 44 - School Forum (1)
“What?” Chi Ying stopped smiling and looked at Lu JingYan in a daze. After a while, she waved the note in her hand and asked, “You mean this?”
Frowning, Lu JingYan took the notes out of Chi Ying’s hand without saying a thing.
The note did, after all, has another person’s contact information on it and fell into the personally identifiable information. Chi Ying studied him and asked, “What do you want it for?”
Lu JingYan looked at Chi Ying intensely for a little bit then, his voice a little dull, he said, “I quite like that guy’s image. Oushi can use him in one of our advertisement.”
Chi Ying bought into it and said, “Wow, you really take care of everything on a personal level.”
Lu JingYan accepted her compliment. “Mmm.”
Chi Ying knew that Lu JingYan was the center of attention no matter where he went and that many might be looking at them right then and there. She said to him in a low voice, “I should go.”
Chi Ying turned and walked away. Lu JingYan didn’t say anything but took one last look at her. Under the fall sunset, the light was a bit dim. Her skin was a milky white and very eye-catching.
His look deepened and his Adam’s apple rolled up and dup. He stood there quietly for a while before he headed over to the main road by himself.
His chauffeur, standing outside of the Bentley, saw Lu JingYan approached him, bowed respectfully and opened up the backside door for him.
Chi Ying walked for a little while and it was already past 5 PM. Jogging, after all, was an activity that required a lot of energy. Feeling that her stomach was somewhat empty and that it was already closed to dinner time, she gave Zhao Wan a call to join her for dinner.

Zhao Wan was lying in bed reading the campus forum with her rare free time.
The name of the boy who had professed his fondness to Chi Ying was He Yi. He was pretty popular among the student union because he was attractive and has well-defined abdominal muscles. A while back, when all the clubs and groups were recruiting for new members, the officers of the student union had successfully become the object of affection of many new students, so majority of the freshmen knew of He Yi.
He Yi’s conversation with Chi Ying in the afternoon had spread among a small group of people and, by that evening, a lot have already heard of it.
The outcome was not surprising but many still talked about this anonymously in the forum.
As the number of people talking about this grew, there started to have some negative voices.
Most of the posts focused on Chi Ying’s age – that she has been out of school for four years and was at least 26 years old now. And whether the fact that so many had professed their fondness for Chi Ying meant that many in the Film Academy were into older woman/younger men romance and that it would make their school the laughing stock in other school’s eyes.
Zhao Wan was very angry after she had finished reading the posts and almost through out her cellphone.
And that’s when Chi Ying’s call came in, her voice soft and tender as usual. “Wanwan, want to go grab dinner? I will wait for you outside of the dormitory.”
Zhao Wan figured that Chi Ying probably didn’t know about what was going on in the forum. As much as she didn’t want to, she told her anyway. “Ying. Not good. Some people are posting negative comments about you on the forum.”
Chi Ying was as calm as usual. “We will still need to eat dinner, right? No reason to go hungry.”

A Girl and Her Food
When a lost girl wakes up without a name, she quickly finds herself alone in a way that people around her can’t fix. Without a real plan and desperate to find what’s wrong with her, she thrashes and bites to stay alive. But human beings are weak things, that band together for strength, no matter who we are. Now if only she could work up the courage to ask one question... It’s normal to get stronger when you drink the blood of monsters. Right? Things to expect: - A powerful but kinda neurotic and emotional protagonist, with some degree of weak to strong. Or maybe strong to stronger, honestly. She's pretty rational and practical about things but won't always make the best decisions, so be warned if you super-dislike characters doing dumb stuff for emotional reasons sometimes. - Lots of dialogue and characterization, especially as we get more into it. It's focused on a single POV, but there might be some sections of other POVs later on, I'm not sure right now. - Magic is on the softer side, but I'll try to keep things fleshed out enough to avoid any obvious "well-established magic could have seemingly instantly solved this problem" moments. - I didn't add the mystery tag because I feel like it implies that this is a detective novel or something, but the story is absolutely incredibly opaque at times. So you'll have the most fun if you go into it trying to puzzle out the nature of events before they're explicitly explained!😇 - Also, I added the genre for completion, but it's gonna take a while to get to the romance. Please wait warmly and have some tea. Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge!

A loving spouse. A healer. How does this person cope with evil villains willing to destroy everything? They convicted the victim... now how does the victim goes on with life as a healer? As the book opens, I was in a psychiatric hospital following a suicide attempt in December 2019. What starts as a simple conversation with another patient changed my life. Most of the rest of the book tells the reader how I got to this point. I experienced profound injustice between 2004 and 2006. By opening with a story about suicide, I want the reader to understand that the injustice was not just something that happened long ago. This book is an account of all the accomplishments and successes that I had in overcoming tremendous odds and challenges. Growing up, I was paralyzed by shyness and lacked social skills, and so the idea of becoming a psychotherapist never occurred to me when I went off to college. I learned that I could overcome those limitations. I wanted to bring that hope and healing to others. Activities like that make life meaningful and bring me joy. The reasons why I was suicidal in 2019 were set in motion in 2000 when a meteor would come crashing down upon the life that I had built leaving me powerless to do anything other than watching everything burn to ashes - the home that I had, the life I had known, the love I had, my career, everything would disappear almost as if it never existed. In that one the year 2000, I could not imagine things could get any worse. But the nightmare would continue for the next few years... culminating in a suicide attempt in 2019. Now, I am connecting with others, building relationships, and finding a reason to live again. I am writing my own story of my life. I will fight against the injustice of the past and offer my gifts to the world. I have so much to offer. I have quite a story to tell. I hope you will help me to move on with my life.
