Chapter 81 - A Big Bundle of Roses

This was the first time in her life that she was able to work in the same team as a film emperor. In her previous life, she had no contact with any first-tier actors. At most she was able to see them from afar at an awarding event.

“Nope. If I can become Qi Yuan’s wife, I don’t care if I will be drowned in saliva or internet violence.” Jiang NingNing’s eyes were still sparkling. “What’s death if I can be with him?”

As Qi Yuan had joined them, the mood over the dinner table that night was more distinct and solemn.

“Alright,” replied Chi Ying cheerfully.

“You first. I’m a coward,” said Jiang NingNing anxiously.

“Mmm.” Chi Ying stood up under the bright light and her eyes were sparkling.

“You are Chi Ying?” Qi Yuan raised his glass and smiled. “I’ve heard of you ‘one shot’. I look forward to working with you.”

“Me too.” When Chi Ying smiled, her eyes curved like quarter moons. With the wine glass in hand, the color of the champagne made her arm seemed even paler and softer. It wasn’t the first time they have seen it, but those in the crew still couldn't help but took a few more looks.

Chi Ying took a sip of the wine and sat back down.

Jiang NingNing nudged her happily. “Qi Yuan complimented you! If I was you, I’d die from being overjoyed.”

Chi Ying was happy for her. “Well then, you are about to die from overjoy.”

Jiang NingNing nodded. “My turn.”

Being anxious, Jiang NingNing’s cheeks blushed even more. She was just about to stand up when a young waiter entered through the door. He had on a tidy set of uniform with a very proper bow tie. His shoes were shiny from polish and his hair was well done. In his hand was a bundle of gorgeous and delicate roses.

“What’s going on?” Jiang NingNing was stunned and fell back into the seat.

Jabbering noises came from all around them. Nobody knew what was going on; but everybody knew that some drama was about to take place.

Jing NingNing was still regretting about her opportunity to toast and, distracted, said to Chi Ying softly, “Who’s so romantic?”

“I don’t know either.” Chi Ying put down her chopsticks and also looked over at the door along with everyone else.

Low and behold, the waiter took a slight bow and walked straight over to Chi Ying. He bowed one more time and said to her, “Miss Chi, this is from Mr. Cheng.”
