Chapter 82 - Is This a Proposal?

Chi Ying looked at him. The waiter was around 25 or so. He was very light-skinned and when he talked, his voice was timid and quivering.

The roses in his hands were delicate as though water would drip from it at any time. There were petrichor among the layers of petals. If one looked carefully, one would see that there was a sparkling diamond ring inside of the flower in the middle. It was beautiful and sparkled under the light.

But now, all Chi Ying could feel was creepy.

A girl with good eyes close to the front of the table couldn't help but lamented, “Ahhh… that diamond ring is a Gorgeous limited edition one…”

That would explain why Chi Ying, also a female supporting character, would have so much screen time… could this Mr. Cheng be Director Gu’s secret investor?

They all had an unspeakable look on them and there were strong curiosity and envy in their eyes.

Chi Ying remained silent. Her knuckles pale from being too tense. She knew that Mr. Cheng was Cheng Huan.

The moment she went onto the most trended list, her location and itinerary was exposed. She didn’t think that both Lu JingYan and Cheng Huan could come looking for her one after another. She thought that Cheng Huan had already forgotten about her.

Jiang NingNing was stunned. She said to Chi Ying with envy. “So those are for you! Your boyfriend is so sweet!”

The atmosphere froze. Everybody there looked at each other and nobody had any idea where this was going.

Chi Ying’s voice was cold and emotionless. It did not look like she has any ties with this Mr. Cheng.

So… this was a suitor her hers? Was that what suitors were like nowadays?

The waiter lowered his eyes and said humbly, “Miss Chi, Mr. Cheng is Cheng Huan. The heir of Huanyu Entertainment…”

When he said “Cheng Hun”, everybody went silent and they could hear gasping sounds.

Cheng Huan was an individual who could cause earthquakes in the entertainment circle. He was known to be arrogant and vicious. Having anything to do with Cheng Huan was terrifying, not so much lucky.

When the waiter cautiously looked up, he noticed that there wasn’t a lot of surprise in Chi Ying’s eyes. Her eyes were as calm as the surface of a pond.

“I have heard of Cheng Huan but I don’t know him,” said Chi Ying nonchalantly. “I don’t need this. You should take them back.”

The young waiter was stumped. His hands that were holding the flowers trembled and he was pale. At loss, he mumbled, “That…”

Chi Ying could tell that he was nervous. Or, not so much nervous but fear.
