Chapter 100 - "So why were you walking into the mountain?" (3)

Lu JingYan hesitated for half a second and finally decided against putting his arm around her. His clothes were drenched and felt very uncomfortable clinging to his body. Especially with her delicate skin.

Chi Ying climbed under the umbrella. The fierce wind brought the rain with it and was very cold when they hit one’s skin.

Chi Ying kept a distance from Lu JingYan as though only with a distance like that would make her feel safe.

Lu JingYan skillfully opened up the door to the helicopter. The cabin of the helicopter was very warm. The windows were shut tightly and all of the noises from the wind and the rain were blocked from the inside.

Chi Ying was quite impressed. Comparing to a luxurious car on land, this helicopter was much fancier.

As far as she could recall, in a show a few years ago, there was only one helicopter in the entire China that has a restroom inside of it.

And Boss Lu’s helicopter must be one of the bigger ones. It has a few separate compartments.

The space was still limited but it was fairly well equipped with everything that one might need. The seats were kept so spotless that Chi Ying felt awkward sitting down in them in her wet clothes.

This was certainly a scene that Chi Ying thought she would only read about in a webnovel or a manga and never thought she’d one day be able to experience it in person. She raised her brows and caught a glimpse of the man not to far away from her out of the corners of her eyes… She felt a bit in a trance yet Lu JingYan couldn’t be more real.

Chi Ying stood hesitantly outside of the cabin door with her hair still dripping. Some of the water ran down the side of her pale cheeks and her form fitting top accentuated her nice chest.

Lu JingYan turned around to look at her and frowned slightly.

He turned on the heater with no hesitation and cranked the temperature and power up to the maximum.

Chi Ying failed to process what was going on right away and her eyes widened some more. The very next second, warm heat started hitting her body nonstop. Through the buzzing noise in the air, she heard the man’s anxious look as he said to her, “You will get sick.”

Lu JingYan’s concern made her felt uncomfortable. And there was also a hint of resentment and resistance that even she failed to notice.

But she still responded politely, “Thank you.”

Quickly, her clothes dried all the way and her hair stopped dripping. She has even started to sweat. Even in the thunderstorm, but the indoor still wouldn’t be too cold in early fall.

Now that the temperature was a bit high around her, her cheeks began to flush.

She wasn’t sure whether she was imagining it but it looked like even Lu JingYan’s cold face was starting to turn red.

The rain hitting the window making it impossible to see outside. The light in the cabin was on and, with just the two of them in the very limited space, they could hear each other’s breathing.

Lu JingYan looked at her with his profound black eyes and said, “Right now any means of transportation will be challenging. We will return when the rain subsides.”

It was the tone of a command or a notification. He sounded like he was having a discussion with her.

Chi Ying nodded. The mountainous roads were muddy right now and it’d be dangerous regardless of whether one was traveling up or down.

Even though Lu JingYan said he was lost and asked her to help him looked for the way out to return a favor to him… but, truth was, if it wasn’t for Lu JingYan, she’d be the one who didn’t know what to do in the rain.

Not to mention that it looked like Lu JingYan … was much more familiar with layout than she was.

Chi Ying frowned a little. Even knowing that he had fooled her, she no longer had any temper left in her.
