Chapter 110 - Lu JingYan’s nightmare might have something to do with her (1)

When Chi Ying got back to the production team, Jiang NingNing was already waiting at the front of the homestay. Her eyes red and puffy from crying too much and her makeup was about to be ruined by her tears.

“I am fine.” Chi Ying hugged her gently but her voice was heavy. She was fine but Lu JingYan was stuck in the mountain overnight while running a fever.

Thinking about that, her beautiful brows furrowed.

She had no idea how Lu JingYan was doing right now…

Even though she had only been away from him for a little while, she couldn't help but worried.

Seeing Chi Ying’s solemn look, Jiang NingNing was more frantic. “And you said you are fine!”

Chi Ying recollected herself and put on a smile. Handing the iPad back to her, she said, “I really am fine… I wonder if it got wet.”

Lucky she made it just in time… otherwise she really would be drenched.

“When I heard Director Gu said that you were stuck in the mountain, I was dumbfounded,” said Jiang NingNing took the iPad from Chi Ying, still feeling numbed. She did not look at her iPad once, just staring straight at Chi Ying. “Next time this happens… I’ll just give up on my iPad.”

“Uh… you wish there will be a next time.” Chi Ying teased her, pretended to be upset and. “I was… I was saved by some locals. I did not have to spend the night in the wilderness. The place I stayed last night was quite comfortable. You don’t have to worry too much about it.”

As they were talking, Gu YuanChen walked over to them with a cigarette in hand.

Chi Ying looked over at him.

Perhaps worried that she was gone all night, even Director Gu had dark circles around his eyes although he still looked handsome as usual.

“I am glad you are back,” said Gu YuanChen.

Surprisingly enough, Qi Yuan also walked over and greeted Chi Ying.

While they were chitchatting, Chi Ying poked at Jiang NingNing stealthily and whispered to her, “Go ask for a signature now.”

He asked for pen and paper from his assistant and handed his signatures over to the two of them.

Chi Ying went back inside of her room, washed up and changed into clean clothes before she followed the production team back.

Qi Yuan, along with the other first-tier actors, flew in first class but most of the rest flew in economy.

After working together for the last four days, Chi Ying had already befriended the other actors she worked with, makeup artists, and gaffers.

As Chi Ying was pretty and kind, everybody liked talking to her.

Without the awkwardness of being strangers at the beginning of the trip, the mood was very light.

Jiang NingNing clutched the signature to her chest and felt like she was in a dream.

Having been a fan for ten years, her drawer was filled with all sorts of signed photographs, fan club outfits, posters… but this was the first one handed to her directly by Qi Yuan.

Once they have deboarded the plane, Qi Yuan would be, once again, out of reach to her.

Being in the same area as him made Jiang NingNing felt that even the air smelled sweeter.

Once the plane had landed, the production team split up and headed toward their own destinations.

Chi Ying put her face mask on and headed over to the parking garage – Chi Yu had arranged for a chauffeur to come pick her up.

When she arrived at home, Jing Zheng was enjoying her cup of tea in the living room just like normal. And, as today was not a regular weekday, Chi Ching was still at the kindergarten.

Chi Ying went to the kitchen to prepare a home cooked meal for her family.

Jing Zheng picked up Chi Ching and brought him home in the afternoon.

When the butler opened the door, Chi Cheng bounced inside and threw himself into Chi Ying’s arms. A loud and milky, “Mommy!!” echoed in the mansion.
