《DIEGO'S INNOCENCE》CHAPTER FIFTY

There is pin drop silence after the words are uttered, it seems like everyone is shocked.
Sebastian, Dan, Andrew, and Hunter have shocked expressions on their faces, but I can see a bit of anger on Hunter's face.
My eyes slowly move towards Anna and Ken, who seem to be communicating with each other. I can see the fear in their eyes as they look at each other, but Anna looks angry, it's like she is blaming Ken for spilling their little secret.
As for me, I feel numb. I do not feel anything except emptiness. I do not feel angry, and I do not feel shocked. I feel like I did not hear anything, I feel like I am living under a rock. I feel like I do not care, even though the case is about me.
"What do you mean she ain't dead?" I ask quietly, making everyone snap out of their little bubbles.
All eyes are on Anna and Ken, and I can see that the two are getting nervous. They keep sweating, which is not from the salt. The two look like little fishes that were caught unexpectedly; their eyes are wide, and I can see them swallow, hard.
"He didn't.... He didn't mean to say that," Anna mutters looking at the ceiling. "You heard wrong, you swine,"
I chuckle when I hear the words, wanting to strangle her for calling me a swine. But I am used to her insults, and I know that whatever she says will do no harm to me.
She can not break what has already been broken. Her calling me names is like adding a little bit of water to burnt food. The words will weigh on me, but they will not do any repairs and they will not do anymore damage. The food is already burnt, and it will continue to burn.
I can also tell that she wants to anger me. She wants me to react to her word so that I can forget about Ken's words, which will not happen.

The room is in silence, and everyone has their eyes on me, waiting to see my reaction. And I make sure that I react in a way I know and understand.
I grab the salt that I had in my hand throwing a handful on Anna's arms, and abdomen. Her screams fill the room, making me smirk. Her screams bring me joy. The pain I will cause her is nothing compared to what she made me pass through.
"A swine is messy most times, and I am sorry for being messy," I murmur pointing at her abdomen.
Her abdomen has whip marks and I can tell that they are serious by the way they look. Anna sobs, crying out in pain.
"Hush now," I whisper under my breath, I feel annoyance because of how loud she is being. Her sobbing is pain to my ears, and unnecessary noise is not something I like. It takes a while, but she silently starts sobbing, closing her eyes as if she wants to reduce the pain.
My attention turns to Ken when Anna goes silent, ready to ask him questions.
Ken looks shocked as he looks at Anna who has her eyes closed. I clear my throat, making him turn his head in my direction. I can see the fear in his eyes making me smile. The mighty man that always beat me looks so scared. He does not look as mighty as before, he looks like a man that is about to shit his pants.
"Don't look at me like that.... You are making me feel sorry for you, and I haven't even hit you," Ken shakes his head, tears falling from his eyes. But I decide to not dwell on his state, I start asking him questions instead.
"Answer the question I asked before. And best believe that I will do much more than what my guards did," I mutter looking into Ken's eyes. It takes a while, but Ken finally starts speaking, crying as he tells me the truth.

"Bianca and Eric came to us before the incident happened.... they introduced us to the gang members that you saw us with on the day of the incident. Bianca told us that she wanted to kill you because she wanted your assets and Eric told us that they were step siblings, but they lied to all of us... They were actually a couple that was facing bankruptcy. We found out that Bobby was Bianca's baby daddy when we saw the three of them together. Bianca told us that Bobby was the one that made the plan, and he was also the one that made you and Bianca meet. I do not know the whole story, but I do know that Bianca was not pregnant. Anna and I heard her telling Eric that she was trying to trap you with a baby, but you did not seem to care about her, and that is why she faked being pregnant. That woman that was killed at your house was an imposter that was paid to pretend to be Bianca.... Bianca left days before the incident happened; she warned us about you coming back a few days ago, but we did not believe her." Ken rambles without stuttering, which I am thankful for. I look up at Andrew who shows me that he has written everything down.
"Where is she?" I question, my black eyes meeting Ken's blue ones. Ken goes silent, his eyes closing as if he does not want to answer. I sprinkle some salt on his wounds, squeezing the flesh.
I can tell that he is preventing a scream by the way his eyes widen, with his mouth closed tight.
"Answer me." I say, clenching my teeth. It takes a while, but Ken finally answers my question.
"She is hidden somewhere with Eric, I do not know where she is... But I am sure you can track Eric's location, he uses the same number." Ken says as tears drop from his eyes.
I look up at Andrew who tells me that he has written everything down. I stand up from my seat, walking towards the four men who have different expressions on their faces. Fear is on Sebastian and Dan's faces, while Andrew looks relaxed. Hunter looks angry, though. He looks like he wants to kill the two.
"Let's go," I mutter throwing the gloves in the trashcan. The four men nod doing the same.
The four men walk ahead of me. Sebastian, Dan and Andrew walk into the public elevator, while Hunter and I walk towards the door that leads to the hallway.
"Why did you change so much? You are not the same boy that I knew years ago," Anna asks, making me turn around. "You were so pure, and innocent... you were not this devilish," she continues.
I chuckle when I see that she is being serious, tears are in her eyes, and I almost feel sorry for her.
"Because you made me like this," I reply. "You called me a devil's child, and I became one. You pushed me away everytime you tried to mold me into what you wanted me to become. You made me a swine everytime you hit me.... You broke me when I knew nothing, and I am just trying to repay you. You sow what you reap, and I am trying to punish you for the sins you sowed in private. You ruined a lot of lives while preaching about being good. You stood infront of a whole congregation preaching about what should and shouldn't be done, when you did the same shit in private. You are the same people that make society disgusting. You need to see that you made this devil. You created the monster that will ruin your lives." I say walking out of the room. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulder. And I know that I am passing the weight to the two monsters that I have left in the basement.
