"And if anything is wrong, you call one of us, okay?" I reiterated to Aria for the 15th time.

"Yes, yes I understand." She mumbled with a smile on her face.

"What?"

"You're cute when you worry."

I sighed,placing a kiss on her forehead.

Today was the day that we were going to kill Dmitri. Aria was discharged from hospital this morning and she has not been happier. She's mastered her crutches and loves to dead-leg people with them.

She's already done it twice to me.

"Come with me, amore." I whispered, leading her to our room. I helped her sit down and then kneeled in front of her.

"What are you"

"Don't panic, amore, I'm not proposing, yet."

At that, she blushed. I pulled the ring box out of my pocket.

"I forgot to give this to you yesterday on your birthday, but I knew I had to give it to you before I left."

I passed her the box and she opened it hesitantly, a small gasp escaping her mouth.

"I bought this the day after we met in the library. I knew it was meant for you."

"It's beautiful, Leo."

"This is a promise ring, Aria. I promise to you that this will be replaced with an engagement and then wedding ring. I promise that I will never leave you and I will never hurt you."

She already had tears in her eyes and a bright smile was on her face.

"I love you, Aria."

She smiled even wider at my confession.

"I love you too, Leonardo." She whispered before kissing me gently.

I am officially the happiest man in the world.

"Now I really don't want to leave you." I groaned, wrapping my arm around waist and pulling her onto my lap, bringing her lips to mine again.

She pulled away, grabbed her crutches and hobbled out of the door. I followed her, carrying her down the stairs much to her disapproval.

Everyone was downstairs getting ready to leave. We planned to leave in 30 minutes, so that by the time we got there it would already be dark.

One by one, Aria would go up to every soldier to thank them, wish them luck and tell them to be safe.

She's too pure.

She finally came to Enzo who pulled her into a tight hug. She whispered something into his ear and looked towards Killian which made Enzo laugh and put her down. I saw her straighten his gun in its holster and she gave him a high five.

Theo walked up to her and kissed her forehead and gave her a hug before letting her go again.

She then went up to Nikolai who was talking to Astrid and she wished them both luck before hobbling over to me, stopping to talk to Gio and Killian as well as Bria and Seb on the way.

She came towards me and I picked her up, spinning her around and placing a kiss onto her prefect lips.

"Be safe, yeah?"

"Always am, amore mio."

She fixed my hair and placed a kiss on my cheek, a stray tear falling down her face.

"I love you." She whispered, a happy smile on her face.

"I love you too, amore." I whispered back.

I carefully sat her down on a kitchen stool and turned to the 4 guards that were assigned to protect her while we were gone. They were the same 4 that were in the hospital. Samuel and Nero were there after she practically begged me to reinstate them as her bodyguards, saying that she didn't want to hurt their feelings. The other two were some other caporegimes that I had assigned for extra security.

"Now listen. I know that she will worry and will probably try to make pasta in a few hours. Don't stop her, but do not let her leave the house alone and do not allow her to be on her feet for long periods of time - if needs be you are to cook for her. Capisci?"

I turned back to my baby who was trying to read the message at the bottom of her foot that I wrote.

"Baby?"

She hummed in response, looking up at me.

"We need to leave."

"Oh. Okay, good luck all of you, if any of you die I will kill you." She frowned. She gave everyone a hug and we all walked out to the SUVs.

"You look like you've found a damn unicorn. Why are you smiling?" Enzo gave me a weird look.

"Aria loves me. We said I love you." I couldn't keep the smile off of my face. It was still sinking in that the angel inside loves me.

"Awww! You're all grown up and in love!" Enzo squealed. I hit him around the back of the head, as did Theo. We all climbed into the SUVs and drove off.

Here we fucking go.

After around 45 minutes of us driving, we arrived in the woods behind the Russian estate. Nikolai had explained everything to us and we were ready to go.

The plan was to get in, take Dmitri and any of his high-ranking captains back to torture and then to hand over the reigns to Nikolai. We didn't want to kill Russian soldiers if we didn't have to, but if they refused to comply then we will have no choice.

We all watched from a short distance away as the first group of soldiers went in, lead by Enzo, then the second group with Theo and Killian, then the tech group with Giovanni following afterwards.

Nikolai was with me and we had a group of 10 men behind us as well. The idea was that we were now able to go directly to Dmitris office, knowing that nothing bad would happen.

We reached there quickly with no major issues. Niko opened the door for us and we all barged into the office, guns in front of us ready to shoot.

"Dmitri."

"Leonardo, to what do I owe the pleasure?" The bastard smirked back, his voice raspy and coarse.

"Well, you took something very valuable of mine, so I think it's only fair if I take your life." I shrugged casually.

At this, his face paled.

"See, your own son, Nikolai, has helped us here. He saved Aria from this disgusting place and I've decided that I think he should be in charge of this mafia." I said, a grin spreading across my face.

At this, Dmitri growled and walked towards Nikolai, shouting curse words in Russian. He didn't get far though. Within a few seconds, Niko himself had put a bullet in his leg.

"Call me a bastard again and there'll be a bullet in your skull you piece of shit." Nikolai spat.

"I have to say Leo, that girl of yours, looks very good, I wouldn't mind having a go"

This time I was the one that shot him in the knee. I really wanted to end his pathetic life but I knew what I had planned would be worse.

I nodded at the men behind me to tie him up and they instantly went towards him to carry out my orders.

I looked towards Nikolai to congratulate him when I noticed the two men behind him. Without thinking, I shot both in the shoulder, knocking them to the ground. He looked back and sighed in relief.

"Thanks, Don."

"We're even now. Also, call me Leo. You've earned my trust."

I walked towards the two men. I recognised them as Dmitri's 2nd and 3rd in command. These were the other two men that hurt my baby.

I called some men over to deal with them and take them back to the cars. When I'm done with them, they'll wish they were dead.

The rest of the groups joined us all up here and Killian and Theo were golding Enzo.

"Is he okay?" I asked, he was smiling so I assumed that there was nothing seriously wrong.

"Yes. He was an idiot." Theo frowned.

"I got this guard all riled up, saying that pineapple belonged on pizza. I just wanted to annoy him but turns out he is very passionate about pizza toppings. Then he shot me in the leg." Enzo explained while smiling.

"I didn't shoot him back though, he seemed really sorry and is in support of Nikolai."

"Not even going to argue, just get him to a hospital. If Aria finds out she'll kill me."

They nodded and left back to the cars, Enzo talking the whole way.

"Only a few of the Russians put up a fight against Nikolai." Gio told us smiling.

"Nikolai Ivanov, you are now the head of the Russian Mafia. I look forward to working together."

"Thank you everyone."

"We have you to thank, you brought our Donna back to us." Astrid replied, a small smile on her face.

"Right let's go home. Niko, you coming?"

"I think I'll clean up for a bit-I'll come round tomorrow morning."

"Do you need any help?"

"God no, go back to Ria, I know she needs you all." He replied, calling some people up to him.

We left after Nikolai practically kicked us out and home to Aria.

When we all walked in, Enzo was already on the sofa with Killian and Theo next to him, the doctor was stitching up his leg.

I heard the sound of crutches coming towards us.

"Leo! Hey everyone!"

"Amore." I smiled, bringing her closer to me.

"Leonardo! Let me go!" She mumbled while trying to count everyone. "Okay phew, everyone's okay. Where's Niko?"

"He decided to stay back and get everything in order, he's going to visit tomorrow morning, bambina."

"Oh okay."

It was then that she realised what Enzo had done.

"Enzo! What the heck!"

"It's fine, bug. I'm good."

"He did it himself, muffin. It's his own fault." Theo shrugged.

"How? What did you do?"

"I told some dude that pineapple on pizza tastes good."

"Ew. I agree with what he did then. Enzo you're Italian, you should know better." She scolded which made me burst out laughing. I did not think she would react like that.

I walked out of the shower, a towel around my waist and I saw Aria in bed, a book in her hands.

I put some boxers on before climbing in beside her and wrapping my arms around her waist.

"Te amo." I whispered

"I love you too." She giggled, placing a kiss on my nose while playing with my hair.

"No, I want a kiss here." I frowned while pointing to my lips.

"I'm sorry for my mistake." She laughed.

I could listen to that sound forever.

She kissed me and I kissed back just as hard. When we pulled away a little yawn escaped her lips and I chuckled.

"Let's go to bed, tesoro."

She didn't reply, just nuzzled her face further into my chest.

"Goodnight, Leo." She mumbled sleepily.

"Goodnight, Aria baby."
