Her face lit up when she saw what we were making. Neither I nor Jax had a shirt on and I caught her staring on multiple occasions and myself and Jax just looked at each other. Secretly communicating that we would have her later for dessert. As the food was finished we sat in the living room and ate in silence. But not that awkward silence the silence was comforting. Looking over to our girl I felt a sense of pride. She was going to be mine. We were going to make her ours forever.
