Matthew P.O.V

I turned to see why and there she was.

Josie was coming towards us with another girl who looked alot like her.

"If I am dreaming hope I don't wake up",I thought as I pinched myself to see if I was imagining things.

This was real. She immediately held Quisha to her chest and her wails quieted down.

"Josie what are you doing here?",I asked as I tried to get Toya and Leon off her legs.

"We were just having a family day out. This is my little sister Jolanda. My mum and brother are also around here",she replied kissing Quisha's forehead.

"Nice to meet you Jolanda",I held out my hand.

"I wont bother asking how you knew we were here because this little lady's cries were so loud",I continued.

I moved closer to Josie to rub Quisha's back and in the process our hands touched,mine and Josie's. I felt sparks rushing from our brushing hands to my stomach. I heard her gasp and hold her breathe.

Our eyes met and once again I was lost in her gaze. She looked even more beautiful today.

I painfully snapped out of my thoughts and managed to ask without blubbering,"So where is your mum and brother?".

"Uhmm..... Yeah We left them by the candy stand",she replied trying to shy away from my eyes.

"Daddy can we go with Jollie to see the turtles?",Toya asked.

"uhmm...baby, Josie and jollie are here to have their family day out,so I will take you",I replied.

"Are we not family with them?",Toya asked almost about to cry.

"No no no baby don't cry,that's not what I meant. Josie and Jollie are here with their mum and brother who want to spend time with them too",I said kneeling and hugging her.

"No problem ,I can take her and then join the others after",Jolanda said.

I was about to refuse then Josie touched my arm signaling me to let them go.

"Okay fine,hope they won't give a hard time. And in case you need us....",I was cut off.

"We shall be fine,its not my first time caring for children",Jollie said rolling her eyes.

Me and Josie just laughed at her childish behavior and sat down on a bench as we watched them go hand in hand. Silence. Total awkward silence.

"Say something you fool,say something",I kept saying to myself mentally but didn't know what to talk about.

Thankfully,the silence was broken by the vibration of her phone. She picked it up and directed her mum to where we were.

"Josie,what are you doing here with a ........",Josie's mum said as she approached us and stopped when she saw me.

"Um,..hi mum,hi Merijn,this is Mr Matthew Bentley my boss and this little sleeping beauty is Quisha",Josie introduced. Her mum made an 'o' with her lips before holding out her hand and saying,"Nice to meet you Mr Bentley. I am Myra Pyre,Josie's mum."

"Call me,Matthew,Mr Bentley makes me feel old and I have told Josie that", I shook her hand and Merijn's too.

"Where is Jolly?",Mrs Myra asked.

"Oohh she took Toya and Leon to see the turtles",Josie replied.

As we waited,me and Merijn talked about random things,I think I like him already. This family has managed to break through my concrete walls. Josie and her mum were also talking and adoring my sleeping princess.

Jollie and the children came back after 20minutes.

"Hi daaaddyyyy",my children both screamed running to me.

I picked them up and they immediately squirmed to get down and went to Josie.

"Josie i have fun",Leon told Josie excitedly .

"oohh really,am glad my babies had fun",she replied kissing their noses earning herself beautiful giggles.

Toya and Leon told Josie about all their adventures as she patiently listened. Natural mother.

"Josie is this your momma?",Toya asked as she finally noticed new faces.

"Yes,baby. She is. Her name is Myra and that is my brother his name is Merijn.",she replied.

Myra hugged Toya and Leon and so did Merijn.

"Josie she is very pretty like you and Jollie",Toya said looking between the the ladies.

"Aww,thanks baby",they all said hugging her.

"Josie me too",Leon pouted.

Handing a sleeping Quisha to her mum ,she picked Leon up and hugged him tight. He started laughing. She sure knows how to handle my babies.

We all went to have lunch together and we were joined by Josie's friend Sherry. We talked and laughed. I was happy after a long time.

The ladies kept whispering,I couldn't get what they were talking about but from the way they were glancing at us,Josie literally staring I knew it was about me. Hope they trying to show her how much I love her

Then it was time to leave. My heart was breaking because I knew Josie wouldn't come home until later in the evening. As my children said their goodbyes,I was thinking of the hours before I could see her home.

My heart skipped a beat when she said,"Okay,family see you next weekend. I think we need to take these three home".

I smiled.

After saying our goodbyes,we walked to the parking lot. I helped her buckle up the children,helped her get into the car and we were off.

We were silent only the music from the radio was heard. The children were knocked out in their seats.

"I thought you were not coming back until later",I said breaking the silence.

"Yeah that was the initial plan but after seeing how worn out these children were,I knew you would need help. And besides I didn't want to bother Martinez",she replied.

I just nodded with a smile plastered on my lips. Atleast she cares about me though her voice showed she was hiding something.

When we reached home,we both carried the children to their rooms for a much needed nap.

I freshened up and joined her in the kitchen to prepare dinner. We talked about random things. She told me about how her life,her dad's death and I also told her abit about myself. Though I didn't mention life with Marion.

We had dinner just three of us. Me,Josie and Quisha. Toya and Leon didn't want to wake up so we let them sleep atleast they had good lunch.

I cleaned up as Josie rocked Quisha to sleep. After I was done,we went upstairs,changed the children to their pajamas and said our goodnights.

Tomorrow being a new week I needed the sleep. Yes I am the boss,but I am a boss who likes getting involved.

Thanks to Josie,I felt less stressed and went to bed happy.

Josie P.O.V

I approached Matthew and reached for a crying Quisha. She held onto me as if her life depended on me. Oohh my poor baby. Toya and Leon also clung to my legs giggling. These kids will be the dear of me.

I introduced Jollie to Matthew and the children immediately took a liking to her.

Me and Matthew had a moment when our hands touched and we just couldn't stop staring at each other.

The children interrupted when they asked to go see turtles with Jollie.

Awkward silence befell us again when the children went and it was just the two of us because Quisha was sleeping.

The silence was broken by a call from my mum asking where we were. My mum and Merijn found us in silence. I was glad they were here. The silence was embarrassing.

I introduced them to Matthew and Merijn and Matthew connected instantly. I think its a thing with guys. They connect so easily.

When the children were back,we went for lunch and I called Sherry to join us.

"Galllll,you didn't tell me your boss is a Greek god ",Sherry teased as we ladies had our small talk.

I smacked her arm and we all laughed.

"I agree with Sherry he is hot,a true definition on a sexy man",Jollie added.

"What do you know about hot men,Missy?",me and mum tease-scolded.

She just rolled her eyes at us and we laughed.

Sherry told mum about her new job as I stole a glance,or two,or three,okay as I stared at Mathew. All the dirty thoughts crowded my mind.

"You like him,don't you?",I was startled out of my thoughts by my mum's question.

"oohh....uhm..huh..of course not,he is my boss. And besides I've known him for just a week",I whisper yelled.

They all raised their eyebrows and I felt my cheeks turn red.

"Haven't you heard of love at first sight?",Sherry asked still raising her eyebrow.

"huh...yes but still the mother of his children may come back",I replied hating my own thought. I hoped she never comes back.

" The way he looks at you,that guy is so into you",my mum added.

"Now you all ganging up on me",I fake saddened my face and placed a hand on my chest.

We all laughed and joined the guys' conversation.

As the children said their goodbyes,I noticed Matthew was not so excited to say goodbye. I decided to say goodbye too and that's when he smiled. "Could he be ..",I cut my thoughts short and finished hugging everyone.

The ride home was a silent one until Matthew spoke asking why I decided to come home early. I lied that its because I wanted to help with the kids who had worn themselves out. Real reason: I wanted him to smile.

My mum and Sherry's words kept lingering in mind. Was he really into me?. Is it possible that it is love at first sight?. Naaaahhh,none one can love Josie Pyre the weirdo. I mentally said to myself.

When we got home,i started on dinner and Matthew later joined me. We talked and laughed. I told him about my life and my dad's death. I was surprised I didn't cry.

Toya and Leon refused to wake up so we had dinner just me,Matthew and Quisha.

Matthew cleaned up as I rocked Quisha. We then went upstairs,changed the children into their pajamas and also said our goodnights.

I talked to Sherry for sometime and then slept.
