Things with Josie were tough. She wouldn't talk to me unless it's about the children. She resorted to calling me sir which was heartbreaking. I decided to give her time. Atleast I see her everyday that's enough for now. But I am not giving up yet. Work is hectic and anything small gets me irritated. I feel bad for treating my employees harshly but I am just so stressed and find myself letting out my frustrations on them.

"Matt,You need to talk to Josie. This is having a toll on you. ",Lynda suggested as we had lunch in my office.

"I have tried but it seems she doesn't want to hear me out",I said as I sipped the last bit of my coke.

"Then me and Benji will have to talk to her",she said with finality in her voice.

"Please don't. She will think I put you two to it and make matters even worth",I begged.

"Too late, we already called her and she will be here in the next...15minutes",Benjamin said as he looked at his wrist watch.

These are my best friends but right now am panicking. She will definitely hate me more thinking I made my friends talk to her to cover my mistake. We finished our lunch in silence. I resumed my work but I wasn't even concentrating. My mind was on the meeting Lynda and Benji were going to have with Josie.

I couldn't watch as Matthew drowned himself again. I needed to help him but how.

That's when I remembered the camera I had installed in his office without him knowing. I waited till he left,went to his office and retrived the footage. The disgust and hate towards Marion grew. How dare she try to throw herself at my friend.

I called Lynda and showed her the footage. We decided to talk to Josie the next day and show her that of our friend was innocent. We informed Matthew of our meeting with Josie and he started panicking. We didn't want to tell him what evidence we had but atleast he would have his woman back.

"Hi Benji,"Josie greeted as she came into my office followed by Lynda.

"Hi josie. I missed you like crazzyyy",I replied hugging her. We talked about random things.

"We wanted to talk to you about Matthew",me and lynda said in unison.

"Not again. There's nothing to talk about. He made his choice already",Josie replied.

"Here us out then you will conclude",lynda told her.

"Matthew didn't cheat on you. Its Marion who threw herself on him",I started.

"Mathew loves you so much. You are the best thing aside from his children and me ofcourse that happened in his life. You just happened to show up at the wrong time. He was trying to push her aw...."I continued but was cut off.

"He texted me to meet him for lunch. Probably he wanted me to see....",she scoffed.

"Its probably Marion who texted you so that you could witness that and leave Matthew",lynda reasoned.

"Was it even Matthew himself who texted you?",I asked.

"The text was from an unknown number so I thought he just wanted to make it ......."she replied and then stopped mid sentence then realisation hit her.

"Oh shit,I didn't think about that",she mummered.

"We have evidence that Matthew is innocent",we continued.

I proceeded to show her the footage. She was shocked and angry. She cried as we comforted her.

"I guess I need to talk to him and apologise for being a pain and not listening to him",she said.

"I was thinking since he is already panicking we prank him",I suggested.

Both the ladies looked at me with amused smiles. We laid our prank plan and Josie left happier than she came.

Just then,Matthew burged into my office. "Hi man, how did it go?. Did she listen? Did she believe you?",Matthew bombarded me with questions.

Trying hard not to laugh to his face, I stood from my chair and gave him a bro hug and left him standing in my office even more confused. I went by lynda's desk and we burst out laughing though quietly. Our plan was definitely working.

Wait till you get home bro.

All I could think of was the meeting between Josie,lynda and Benji. Would she believe them?. Would she forgive me and let me explain myself.

When I heard lynda back to her desk,I immediately rushed to her but her face held no emotion. I knew she wouldn't tell me anything so I went to Benji's office. All he did was give me a bro hug and leave. I realised she didn't forgive me. I had lost her and it was all Marion's fault.

Brokenheartedly,I walked back to my office,finished my work and dreaded the drive home. She would probably blame me for setting up my friends to talk to her.

I decided to got to a bar,for a drink but before we reached the place,I got a text alert.

: Make it to dinner,the children want to see you and we need to talk.

I am so finished. She is going to kill me. Why didn't I stop lynda and Benji?

Okay,will be there in a few.

I told the driver to take me home instead.

When I saw the footage,I was shocked and angry at myself especially for not giving Matthew a chance to explain himself. I needed to make up for the way I treated him.

We made a plan to prank him and let him panic some more. I felt the urge to run to his office and kiss him but Lynda forced me out of the building.

I went home and called mum and sherry and filled them in on what I found out. I obviously got I told you sos from them but the happiness I was feeling was beyond.

I prepared dinner and waited for him to get home. Then I got a text from Benji telling me he was going towards a bar. I immediately texted him to come home for dinner and to add to the panic,we needed to talk.

The excitement was too much. I danced around with the children until we heard a car.

Toya and Leo were on the prank too so we all took our position as the front door opened.

"Hi I am home",he called as he entered but no one moved from their spot.

"Go hug daddy babies",I urged trying to control my laughter.

He had a downcast face and the only one who wanted him around was Quisha who wanted him to hold her.

"Hi dad",Toya and Leo replied not moving to hug their dad. This was mean to him,but hey we were was having fun.

"I will go freshen up and join you for dinner.",he said waiting for reply but got none.

He put Quisha back to her high chair and went upstairs. We were sure he couldn't hear,we burst and started laughing.

"I feel bad for daddy",Toya said.

"I know baby but he is going to be very happy afterwards.",I said kissing her temple and asking her to set the table.

Dinner was in silence. No one was talking. We cleaned up and the children went to the playroom to watch a movie as me and daddy went to the living room to talk.

"Uhmm,I... Josie...I ....",Matthew stammered breaking the silence.

"Keep it to yourself. So you decide to get your friends to lie to me that you are innocent?",I start.

" How could you Matthew. I trusted you. I loved you. And what did you do the second you got your ex wife,you kissed her",I fake sobbed.

"I am sorry Josie. But trust me I didnt cheat on you. Lynda and Benji were helping us,I didn't ask them to. Marion just came to my office,and before I could.......",his explanation was cut off as the door opened revealing lynda and Benji.

"Did you kill him yet?",Benji joked.

"His not yet dead you dumbo. She is weak she cant do a simple job"Lynda replied.

If Confusion was a person that would be Matthew. He looked between us and still couldn't process what was happening. Toya and Leo ran to the living room,hugging Benji and Lynda. Quisha was sleeping already. I could see the pain in Matthew's eyes. His children didn't hug him,they totally ignored him today.

"Children,do you have something to tell daddy?",Benji asked as he tickled Leo.

"It's a praaaannnnkkkk",they both screamed.

Matthew still stood confused. "A prank?. How? When?why?w....",he questioned.

I cut him off and kissed him. He was shocked and then he recovered and kissed me back,hard. Pouring all his unsaid emotions in the kiss.

"You mean you have forgiven me",Matthew said breaking the kiss to look at me. I just nodded and leaned in for another kiss.

Lynda cleared her throat to get our attention. We relunctantly pulled away. Matthew held me by the waist nudging me closer to him.

"I can't believe you guys did that." Matthew said faking annoyance.

"We love you",we all said hugging him.

"You even turned my babies against me",he said tickling them.

The house was filled with their laughter. We had some drinks with Lynda and Benji then they had to leave. The children were already in bed.

Me and Matthew continued watching the movie cuddling then he suddenly sprang from the couch,held out his hand which I took watching him smirk and his eyes darken when he pulled me close to him. Our fronts touching,the sparks travelling through my body.

"I guess we could act our own movie,upstairs,in our room,our bed,na....." I cut him short and our lips met. Both of us fighting for dominance.

He carried me,my legs wrapped around his waist not breaking the kiss upstairs to his room. We had a heated makeout session which left us naked and our articles of cloth strewned on the floor. After getting my confirmation,we consummated our love. With only the light from the moon illuminating the room.

Matthew didn't break eye contact with me,he kept on whispering how much he loved me. It was a magical feeling I didn't want to end. It felt so good having him close to me, skin to skin with no barrier. No one wanted to let the other go. After a while of making love, we were both exhausted and satisfied drifting off to sleep. And I couldn't miss his last words,"I love you Josie".

This was the best night of my life. The night I had officially become a woman.

The best part though is that it was with someone I love and who loved me back. With a smile,I let sleep take over cuddling closer to Matthew.
