《His Hybrid Mate | COMPLETED》9.

I hate when Alpha Alec calls for a meeting. It ends bad every time. Warlocks and witches can't get along long enough to fix the problem.
"Well, well, well. Look what the grim reaper drugged in," a familiar voice said behind me.
I bit the inside of my cheek, turning around to see my worse enemy, Cassandra. Her long red hair was in a tight ponytail, and her icy blue eyes were cold like usual.
"Cassandra, nice seeing you here," I replied, titling my head.
"Why wouldn't I be? I mean, I am the first one here every time Alpha Alec calls, not you ex witch," Cassandra said with a smirk.
I shook my head,"Still the same bitch, I see. That's extremely disappointing."
Before she could say anything else, Alpha Alex's voice boomed in the conference room.
"Sit down. We have business to discuss," He said, making all of us sit.
Luna Grace was sitting next to him like usual. I sat down between a warlock, Tim, and a witch, Sasha.
"Now, as you may know already, there is witch/warlock using dark magic, and they are in town. One of our teenagers couldn't turn back from his wolf form, and he doesn't recognize his own pack. He escaped two weeks ago, and we have guards looking for him 24/7.
But when they do find him, I need you all to help with a ritual to turn him back," Alpha Alec finished.
Shawn, one of the warlocks stood up from his chair.
"And why should we help you? I mean, you never return favors, and we always come when you call," Shawn said with a firm face.
Alpha Alec stood up from his spot. "I don't know if you forgotten, but my pack was the ones to save all of your asses when the vampires came through four years ago. You owe me everything for saving the witch community in this town."

Shawn was silent before sitting down pursing his lips. I get why; that attack left many families heartbroken. Like me.
My husband didn't die in a plane crash. He died in that vampire attack saving me. The vampires were going after all warlocks/witches in the town, and he died protecting me.
I didn't tell Brooklyn because she's half vampire, and I didn't want her to feel guilty. I didn't like lying to her, but it's for the best.
"Dad! We found him!" A boy yelled, coming in the conference room.
He looked just like his father with his dark brown hair and blue eyes. They could be twins since their faces looked a lot alike.
"Grayson, I'm in a meeting," Alpha Alec said, sternly.
Ahhh, so this was Brooklyn's mate. He's pretty handsome.
"Julian and Allison found Caleb. He's here," Grayson said to his father, shocking us all.
"Alright. Put him in the cells. We'll do the ritual in there," Alpha Alec instructed.
Grayson nodded before disappearing out of the room. Alpha Alec looked back at us.
"I guess it's time. Let's go down to the cells," Alpha Alec said, making us nod.
We walked out of the room, and downstairs to the cells where the pack holds rogues or any threat to the pack.
"Alright, let's get this over with," Shawn said when we got down to the cells.
We saw the dark brown wolf, and he was unconscious. It took us a while, but we set the ritual.
We set up candles, and some of us drew the ritual signs. By the time we were done, the wolf woke up. He growled at us, but he couldn't get up because of the silver in his system.
"Join hands," Cassandra said as we sat around the wolf in a circle. I held hands with the two people next to me before closing my eyes.

"Now repeat this chant," Cassandra said before saying the chant.
We all repeated in sync, and the candles' fire grew higher and higher. The bars on the cells shook as we chanted.
The wolf howled in pain, and I could hear the wolf shift back into a human. I cracked my eyes open to see a naked teenage boy laying on the ground.
We stopped chanting, and Alpha Alec's daughter, Allison, ran passed me with a blanket. She covered him before kissing him on the forehead.
"I missed you," Allison said, hugging the boy. He must be her mate.
"Crap, why does my head hurt?" Caleb asked.
"Do you remember anything when you were in your wolf form?" Cassandra asked him.
"Fragments. I remember shifting, and injuring guards. I tried to stop, but it was like somebody was controlling me," Caleb said, standing up with the help of Allison.
"Dark magic at its finest," Alpha Alec said behind us.
"But this kind of magic is not here, Alpha Alec. This dark magic takes years, and I'm talking about years, to master. Whoever this is, they are powerful," I said, making everybody look at me.
"How do you know this information, Melissa?" Alpha Alec asked me.
I licked my lips,"I had a friend who studied dark magic before he passed. He wrote everything down in a notebook, and I found it when he passed."
"Do you still have it?" Grayson asked me.
I shook my head,"Somebody stoked it years ago."
"I remember there was a girl with silver eyes," Caleb said, making me freeze.
"The only supernatural thing that has silver eyes is a hybrid," Alpha Alec said.
"But we haven't sensed any new comers, Alpha Alec," Cassandra said.
"It could be using a spell to cover its tracks. I need everybody on this. This thing could hurt a lot of people," Alpha Alec informed us. "If you find it, bring it to me. Are we clear?"
Everybody nodded, and I slowly nodded. Brooklyn needs to get out of town, fast.
"Now, you are excused. Thank you for your help," Alpha Alec said before leaving.
I slowly walked out of the pack house, trying not to be suspicious.
I had to tell Brooklyn. If they find out about her, then Brooklyn is going to get killed if though this isn't her doing.
We had to find out who's doing this before Brooklyn gets killed.
I just hope this isn't who I think is doing it.

The Court of Souls?
What do we talk about tonight?~“How about a story?”~Fine by me. Which story? Hopefully a good one.~“There was once a lonely child in a world filled with myths, gods and demons. Only power counted there and the weak were worse than cattle. A world where survival of the fittest ruled.”~Was it strong then?~“No, but the child had a power. One that made him stand between light and darkness. Nothing could escape him, so he was shunned by his people.”~ What did he do? Did he fight his fate? Did he hide his power? What was it?~“Oh, he fought. He fought a lot. And no thing could escape his power. It was something that everyone had to live with.”~So he became a hero and changed the world?~»…”~Tell me.~“Nooo, that’s not how the story goes. This isn’t a story of a noble man, doing good amidst a sea of monsters. This is a story of a demon who was… kinder than the rest.”~A kind demon? How boring.~“I think it would be better if I tell the story, so you can judge for yourself.”~So tell the story!
