《First one》Eighty: I love you both

It's fair to say I was completely taken off guard when she threw her shoe at me. Panic raising to my face as she told me she was done with me. The heat of the fear I was feeling making my heart throb in my chest to the point even my head got its own heartbeat. The word done had never caused such pain and sadness as when she has pronounced it. I had never seen her this angry, pissed and sad at the same time. She could have easily punched my face if she really wanted to, I could see it as she balled her fists at me. Yet, I was determined not to let her push me away. I promised her I wouldn't and so here I was, carrying her to my car as she sobbed on my shoulder.

I lowered her into the passenger seat while she stared ahead of her, her expression sunken in thoughts. As soon as I sat down behind the wheel, she turned to me. "Lukas, I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry." She spoke into a sob. Her face turned pale as if she had seen a ghost. "I messed up! I know I did but please I take it back, I don't want us to be over." I cocked a brow at her. Who is she trying to convince?

"We're only going to be over if a meteor hits this car right now." I said, reaching my hand out to push her wild hair from her face. What happened to her, there's not much left of that ponytail. I looked out of her side window. "See no meteor." I smiled at her and she let her head fall back against the seat, her sobs not fading one bit.

"I'm so stupid!" She cried, covering her face with her hands. "I completely lost it! This isn't me!" She shrugged her shoulders. "I, I really thought you-" She looked at me without finishing her sentence and it only made me wonder what happened to her to lose it like that. "I'm sorry." She whispered, sincerely apologizing for doubting me.

"I can't say I'm not a bit disappointed that you think that low of me." I said leaning in to wipe the tears from her cheeks, but that effort was for nothing as another stream of tears fell from her eyes. "Come on, you know how much I love you baby. Why would I want to mess it up by hooking up with Jess, who by the way couldn't even compare to you, not in the slightest." I asked her, still not wrapping my mind around it.

"I know, she just. She...That bitch she-" She was trying to catch a breath, my heart sinking to the center of the earth at the sight of her.

"Snowflake just breathe. It's okay, I'm not going anywhere. Just catch your breath and tell me what happened so I can understand." I whispered, now hanging over the gearbox, uncomfortable as hell, but I needed her to feel I was close.

"Where do I start?" She took a deep breath, the corners of her mouth tugging up into a faint smile as her eyes met mine.

"At the beginning." I smiled at her the panicked heat in my face now slowly starting to fade.

"Today was just awful!" She sighed again. "First these Lacrosse jocks proposed me a four-way." What the fuck. I had to swallow at those words, trying not to fuss but nothing could prepare me for the rest of it. "Then one of them groped me underneath my skirt and-"

"Are you fucking kidding me!" I raised my voice, startling her, as my hand clenched together into a fist.

"I'm telling you what happened!" She yelled back making me bite my lip. Now was not the time to get a temper, I needed to listen to her.

"I'm sorry I just-"

She cut me off before I could say how angry this was making me. How could they touch her, just like that, at work, in a fucking diner? I know I'm a jerk and I used to sleep around more than I could remember but I would never just put my hand on a girl without her giving me signs she actually wants to be touched. "It gets worse." She said, wiping away the tears from her face with her fingers and I braced myself, promising my temper not to latch out at her. She was being honest and I needed to listen to that, and even more take an example from it.

"It's okay, you can tell me. I'm not angry with you. Just those guys are fucking disrespectful."

"I know." She nodded before continuing. "I called them out on it, I yelled through the entire diner. Lukas, they just had those disgusting smirks on their faces, I couldn't keep quite." She shook her head as she briefly closed her eyes. "Gregory, stood behind me and took me aside, telling me to suck it up! He basically told me it was okay to get touched like that. He could care less."

"Fucking asshole." I said through clenched teeth, my fists feeling my anger boiling as I was no longer able to relax.

"A little later life decided to punch me in the face again. Olivia and Jess walked through the door and mocked me! Mia told them about our fight and they clearly seemed to enjoy I have no friends left." She scoffed at the air in front of her, clearly upset that Mia couldn't keep her mouth shut. I swear to god she needs to be put in her place. Mom and dad would be fucking disappointed at how she's behaving, turning her back on everyone who cares about her.

"Mia needs to shut her mouth about this." I shook my head the anger for my sister adding to all the rest Bells has told me so far. No wonder she felt like throwing a shoe at my head.

"Yeah, well. They showed me the texts and I was stupid enough to believe a word they said." She snapped her head towards me, her eyes pleading me to understand her. I did, giving her a smile so she could continue without worrying. "Lukas I messed up real bad in there. I threw a vanilla milkshake at Jess before pulling the extensions out of her head." I couldn't help but to let out a loud laugh at her words. No you didn't... Good god marry me. My joyous laughter sucked her in as the frown on her face turned into a smile.

"You really did that?" I laughed, my thumb wiping away the last one of her tears from her cheek.

"Yeah." She let her head fall back as she shook her head, her smile ever so bright.

"Well you know what?" I smiled at her, my eyes gleaming with admiration as she turned her gaze to me. "I'm fucking proud. The bitch deserved it."

"Yeah, she did." She laughed, clearly picturing the events in her head. "Oh god, what did I do?" She suddenly gasped, her eyes wide. She looked like she had murdered someone, grabbing my wrist as she looked at me with panic on her face. "I just got fired! What am I going to do!"

"What do you mean you just got fired." I squeezed my eyes at her with concern. That's a stupid question you idiot.

"What did I think, that I wouldn't get fired after throwing a drink on someone's head and starting I fight. Audrey had to pull me off Jess, literally pull me off her. I have lost my mind, my temper, my job." She spoke fast, her hands pinching around my wrist.

"Did that bastard really sack you over this?" I huffed, hating the guy even more than I already did.

"Yes! Yes he did! And then I threw my apron at his face! I mean, he's never going to rehire me. Not even if I begged for it." She said desperately.

"Baby, don't you dare go back and beg him for that job. You deserve so much better!" I had to say. Begging for that shit, wearing that uniform, not matter how sexy I think it is, but only in my bedroom, is below her worth.

"Lukas you don't understand." She shook her head, the concern laced throughout her voice as she tightened her grip around my wrist. "What am I going to do? I can't afford my apartment or pay for college if I don't find another job soon. I have some savings left but not that much."

"Bells, you're not going back in there, ever! Even if he wants to rehire you, that shouldn't even be a possibility. You get harassed during the job, come on. I'm not going to stand by and let that happen to you." I raised my voice. I can't believe she's considering it.

"But I need the money, even though I hate it!"

"And I'll help you find another job that will pay just as much, hell maybe even more!" I grabbed her hand, lacing my fingers with hers. "And if you're low on money I'll help you out. Babe everything is going to be fine. You're going to be just fine." I said, taking my free hand to pull at the elastic band out of her messed up ponytail, freeing her hair and letting it fall over her shoulders.

"Lukas, I don't want to burden you with my financial problems." She sighed while I pushed a few strands away from her face, my fingers caressing her cheek ever so slightly.

"Quit thinking you're a burden to everyone. You couldn't even if you tried to. I'm serious. I'm offering you help, for once take it." I said sincerely, quickly leaning in to peck her soft and salty lips. "I don't offer it to just anyone, I'm offering it to you, my girlfriend, my girl. You're everything to me and I can't just sit and watch you get into any kind of trouble, whether it's financial or personal. I mean it, please just take my help." I look at her, my bottom lip almost pouting at her.

As I'm looking at her and my heart swelled, she playfully rolled her eyes at me. "What happened to the asshole from the beginning of this semester?" She smiled, melting into my hand, softly placed on her jaw.

I sat up right at her words, a smile unmistakably present on my lips. "Well, if you preferred that Lukas, I guess I can arrange something."

"I love you both." She smiled and felt my stomach do a 360 in the most positive way of the meaning. I never liked myself, especially not that part of me, I just didn't know how to act differently after I lost Logan in the accident, I kept my guard up, using an image and hurtful words to keep everyone at a distance. Gradually I felt like I was melting into someone I actually could accept or even like, and I had her to thank for it. The fact she loved both sides of me, only made me want to do even better.

As I wanted to lean in to show her how much I loved her by kissing her lips with longing the corner of my eye saw something ominous, making me look out of the window next to Bella. "What wrong?" She said, questioning why I suddenly wasn't aiming for her lips no more.

"Them!" I pushed out through my teeth, nodding towards Jess and Olivia exiting the diner. I'm not going to let this slide. They nearly cost me my everything. Without thinking I pushed my door open. One foot out and Bells grabbed my arm, the only thing keeping me from immediately running across the parking lot.

"What are you going to do. Lukas don't make this already more embarrassing than it is." She said, her eyes pleading me to stay in the car. Not gonna happen.

"I'm going to end this once and for all. This needs to stop. The sooner the better. I'm not going to let them pull us apart!" I undeliberate raised my voice at her before pulling my arm away and pacing towards them, leaving Bella in the car.

I wished my feet were faster than this as they were almost at their car. Fucking bitches, this has to stop. "Hey!" I yelled after them, causing both of them to turn around, surprise written all over their faces. "What the fuck did you think you're doing!" I yelled, anger finding its way to my tone.

"Uuhm... Going home." Olivia said, her arm hooked in her cousin's, her eyes vicious.

"You know that's not what I'm talking about! Are you really that desperate Jess!?" I addressed her, almost bursting out in laughter at the sight of her, all covered in milkshake and her long hair not so long and natural after all as she was now missing half of it.

"That bitch of yours needs to watch it. I'm going to make her life a living hell after what she did to me! Look at me!" Jess screamed, waving her hands in the air in front of her.

"Yeah suites you, the whole look fits with the piece of trash you are." I couldn't contain myself.

"Shut the fuck up Lukas! Your whore was way out of line!" Olivia almost spit and at her foul word, insulting Bella I grabbed her arm, trying to dominate the conversation. What she called my girlfriend making me see red.

"What did you just call her?" I clenched my jaw, my fingernails digging into my palm.

"A fucking WHORE Lukas, do I need to spell it?" Jess added and she shouldn't have. I pulled my hand away from Olivia not sure who I wanted to strangle first at this point.

"Why don't you just spell out your own name then, it's the same fucking thing!" I yelled at her, her expression furious and insulted, her lips pulled into a straight line as she was out of comebacks. "Listen to me! Try to come between Bella and I ever again, and I will make you regret it! The two of you went in there to bully her, to make her believe we hooked up! Smart move deleting the other messages, but not smart enough! I will never leave Bella for you Jess! Cause that would be fucking stupid." I ruffled a hand over my face. "Just leave us alone. Don't act so desperate it doesn't look all too flattering on the both of you. I'm pretty sure there are enough guys on campus that are dumb enough to begin something with you both. Take a sign. I don't want you, neither of you!" I yelled. "You two are fucking embarrassing!" I yelled shaking my head and turning around, not even giving them a chance to reply, not that they could have cause for once they both stood there, not one of them feeling like talking.

I wanted to punch something because something told me Jess still wasn't going to take the point, at least now Bella knew I wouldn't cheat on her, especially not with Jess, not with anyone! While thinking about punching some random dude's face to get rid of my anger I walked back to the car, Bella's eyes capturing mine. She looked relieved while I smiled at her but there was something, I still needed to tell her, something I couldn't keep from her.

Back in the car she looked at me with a smirk. "What?" I smiled as I positioned myself in my seat while trying to read her mind. Whatever she's thinking about, in involves something mischievous.

"You look hot when you're angry." She looked at me like a wild animal.

"Oh yeah." I looked over her, her hair messy and her eyes hooded, her makeup slightly smudged. "You look like you got freshly fucked." I leaned in closer to her face, my eyes staring at her lips, surprised she wasn't taken aback by that. On the contrary, she seemed to enjoy it. I never know what she's thinking but I have an idea about what's going through her mind now.

"What are you waiting for?" She whispered as her hand slid over my jaw, pulling me closer to her. My lower body part already throbbing at the thought of feeling her close, of kissing her lips and so much more. "Lukas I need you." She begged me as her face moved closer even more, her bottom lip grazing over mine as her hands pulled at the collar of my hoody. Desperately pulling me into her.

"I need to tell you something first." I spoke against her lips; wanting nothing more than to kiss her and take her home, but I couldn't keep this from her even though she might not need to hear it now. No more secrets. "It's about Drew." And at that she sighed, falling back into her seat, her eyes desperate and fearful.

"What about him?" She carefully said with disappointment hiding her fear.

"I spoke to Zach, apparently you know him?" She nodded with a faint smile on her lips, as she pushed all of her hair back, leaving her hands rested on her head. "They haven't seen or heard from Drew since you went over to their house. Zach has a feeling he's up to something."

"Oh god!" She sighed, letting her head fall back, her hands still desperately clinging onto the top of her head.

"I know today has been a mess already, maybe more than you can handle but I don't want to keep secrets from you." I said, my finger caressing under her chin before pulling her face towards mine.

She slightly pouted her lip before opening her mouth to speak. "Lukas promise me you'll try to keep him away from me. I know I'm asking a lot but I'm really scared of him at this point. Last time he seemed so obss-"

"Of course! I won't let him hurt you!" I cut her off, somewhere feeling joyous cause it was the first time she herself asked me for help and acknowledged she was scared instead if hiding and running away from her feelings. She asked me to take care of her and that was exactly what I was planning to do.

"Thank you." She exhaled deeply like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. "For not keeping secrets and everything else today. I would really lose my mind without you."

"I won't let that happen." I leaned into the side of her face. "We'll start with self-defense lessons tomorrow." I winked at her, a smile immediately pasted on her face.

"Really?" She smiled while putting her hands in my neck, her soft touch making the hairs on my arms stand up straight.

"Told you I would teach you some moves, I guess now is the right time don't you think?" I smiled, so close to her lips I was one nose brush away from kissing her.

"What would I do without you?" She said, leaning in to smack herself into my lips, her tongue immediately going over them, fighting for an entrance. The moment our tongues could taste each other she pulled back. Her eyes searching mine. "If I were you, I would drive us home now." She whispered her voice huskier than usual.

I smiled into her words, imaging what she meant by that. "Are you going to keep the uniform on?" I teased her, leaning over the gearbox to take her bottom lip between my teeth, pulling her into the tease with me.

"We better get some use from it before I have to give it back." She pulled her lip to freedom before whispering. Fuck. My mind already imagining the rest of the night, I put the gearbox in first, speeding of the parking lot and saying sayonara to that crappy diner for good.
