The limo came to a stop but I didn't want to get out. Not just yet.
"Impaurito (Scared)?" Vittore voiced from beside me.
"No. Just cautious," I mumbled, looking out the window to the dock we'd stopped at.
It lead to a large well lit yacht that already had people flooding around. They all wore tuxedos and fancy evening dresses besides the butlers who were dressed in all white with black bows. My eyes caught the sight of the security at the entrance. Three buff guys and one bulky looking woman who were checking each and every person thoroughly.
"Well you should be," Vittore mumbled and opening the door, easily stepping out. He then turned to me and held his hand out for me to take, which I did.
I stood up and straightened out my dress, making sure I looked decent enough. Vittore turned to his side and held his elbow out and I took it, walking side by side with him to the checkpoint. People from the higher levels of the yacht watched us approach. Like Vittore, I kept my gaze blank and my head high.
I only departed from him to hold my hands out and have the bulky woman pat me down. She was really serious about her job, even doing as much to touch my hair. My hair that I just got done. I couldn't help but glare at her.
When we were done, one of the beefy guys escorted Vittore and I through the yacht to the deck where most people were hanging about, some brooding in corners, others freely socializing while some went wild with it all.
Vittore leaned close, his arm going around my waist. His breath fanned my ear as he leaned close.
"Stay by my side at all times and do no eat or drink anything I don't give you," he whispered in my ear.
"I'm not stupid Vittore. You don't have to treat me like I'm some high school girl at her first party," I rolled my eyes and patted my hair a little. "I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself."

"I don't doubt that."
"Good. So.. where do we start?" I asked.
Vittore used his hand around my waist to guide me towards the far side of the yacht. People called out to him, some women being extra friendly, something I didn't like at all. I made moved myself closer to Vittore in a way that showed them who he was here with.
We made it to a table where a blonde man sat with a woman who had light brown hair. The man looked older than Vittore and I and when I looked closer, I noticed the bump on the woman's stomach. She was pregnant. How cute.
Couldn't be me.
"Ah. Vittore. Good to see you," the man said with a thick Russian accent, his deep brown eyes looking at the Italian at my side with respect.
"Nikolai. It's good to see you too."
The two men shook hands and I nodded at the woman beside him who bowed her head in return.
"Who is this?"
I turned to see the man, Nickolai who already had his gaze on me.
"My wife and Dona," Vittore introduced and I smiled.
"Lovely to meet you," I said humbly.
"Tesoro, this is Nikolai Makarovich, Don of the Russian Bratva and a very good friend," Vittore announced and the man in question nodded.
"You have an issue, you can come to me," he said and I nodded.
"Actually... we are looking for the newest Dons here," Vittore said, going straight to business.
"Ah," Nikolai voiced. "That would be the... Rooks, the Aces and the Ravens correct?"
"Yes," I cut in but a slight squeeze from my hip from Vittore had me going quiet. The urge to roll my eyes was strong.
"Last I heard, they were making their way to the theater at the lower decks," Nikolai told us.
"Thank you once again my friend. I'll leave you and Mischa to enjoy your evening," Vittore said quickly, nodding at the two before he steered me away.
"We are trying to be covert here tesoro-"
"Yeah yeah I get it. I'm just..." I took a deep breath and let it out. "Antsy I guess. I want to get the fuck out of this place."

"And we will," Vittore whispered to me, his thumb making circles on my waist. "You just have to hold in your excitement and everything will be fine."
"I find it hard to believe you. I'm not even armed," I complained.
"Here."
Vittore reached into his pocket and pulled out a gun, sliding it into my deep pockets. It was completely hidden from view but I could feel the weight of it on me.
"How did you manage to get this past the checkpoint?" I asked my brows frowning.
"I have allies where they are most needed tesoro. Don't question it," Vittore easily stated as we walked past more Dons and Donas to the lower levels.
My gaze went over the side rail of the yacht, looking at the calm dark sea waters below. They were highlighted by the light that streamed from the yacht and even the moonlight shone down on it, casting everything in its beautiful silvery glow.
"Despite what we came here for, I can't deny this view is beautiful," I mumbled to myself as we rounded the corner, the staircase that led below not far.
"Don't worry tesoro, we can do this again and it'll be much better because we'll use my yacht instead," Vittore told me.
"What makes you think I'll get on a yacht with you," I asked, trying to shake of the fact that he actually had a yacht. How rich was he?
"You're my wife so technically, the yacht is yours too," Vittore told me and I mentally froze.
Oh.
Okay.
"Cat caught your tongue tesoro?" Vittore asked as we finally descended the last of teh stairs, walking down the well lit halls filled with people to the open theatre.
"Just... find us a table," I grumbled, slightly pulling away from Vittore who smirked. Cocky Italian.
We took seats at a two person table, looking at the stage which had large red curtains that were drawn to hide the performers who were setting up inside. My eyes scanned the tables, not sure what I was looking for.
I sighed after a while as nothing happened and the slights suddenly went out. All the chatting turned into soft chatter as people watched the stage that now had a spotlight on it.
"You had plenty money, 1922..."
The loud melody of a piano filled the room as the curtains were slowly drawn to reveal a woman with red dyed hair in a sparkly pink dress that had a high slit. It held her body well and showed off her curves.
"You let other women make a fool of you. Why don't you do right, like some other men do...."
I turned to Vittore, just to see if he was watching, the woman was beautiful no doubt but the thought of him looking at her the way he looked at me had my blood boiling and my stomach churning.
Lucky for the Italian, he seemed mostly uninterested.
Good.
"Get out of here, get me some money too..."
I sighed, thinking I should tell Vittore that we move on to search somewhere else when the woman did a spin, her hair flying with her. She pulled it over one side of her shoulder and turned her back to where Vittore and I sat.
While most men here were obviously loving the view of her... behind, I noticed something else.
"Vittore," I called to him, tapping his arm until he leaned in so I could whisper in his ear.
"Behind her neck."
Both our eyes raised to see the raven tattoo that was mostly hidden by her dyed hair but there was no mistaking the pattern. Vittore's eyes then went to the pianist who too had his back to us. The same Raven tattoo stood out.
"We need to find where the VIP seats to this theater are," Vittore told me and I nodded, the two of us standing up.
If the Ravens were running the show, I bet my left leg their Don had the best seats in the house.

Grey [HIATUS]
I was originally fueled by anger and disdain to write this and looking back, most of what I wrote for this story was unplanned and a bit trashy. I kinda stopped having ideas for this, so I stopped in the end. If you're looking at this right now, you probably shouldn't read this because it's only 12 crappy chapters in and yeah... Sorry to the people who might've liked this. (Maybe one day I'll continue this, but for now, I have other plans) Grey, a prince, is unsure about what to do when he starts running away from an enemy beast tamer. He's unsure on what to do now that his father, the king, is dead. In the forest alone, he'll discover a small companion and a rogue. Together will they figure a way to take back Grey's kingdom? Or will they just die in vain? Let's be honest here, most of you probably like the fox aspect of the story the most. (BTW the cover design is made by me. Terrible, I know) I'm kind of done with writing bs descriptions that I might change in the future, plus I'm not very good with being thoughtful with quotes and stuff like that. I just write what pops into my mind, which is usually stupid things. So the description may or may not be accurate so I've changed it to being very vague.
