At the palace, Angus was in the emperor's office, accompanied by Matthew and Eric.

He had a few letters and documents to take care of, laid out in front of him.

Matthew informed.

Angus replied, a glint of hatred in his eyes and voice.

the red haired knight added.

Eric said.

said the duke.

Matthew and Eric replied, bowing.

A few minutes later, someone knocked on the door.

Angus ordered.

It was Doctor Cross who entered the room.

he greeted, bowing.

asked Angus attentively.

Eric asked, uncertain.

Matthew concluded.

Angus added, a worried expression on his face.

On the Neldor Forest's side, the monsters continued to approach the small group slowly. They had a frightening and disgusting form with their very long arms with long claws and their large jaws with sharp canines.

Luana asked angrily.

he replied with a smirk.

she asked, confused.

he added.

she whispered, her voice choked with shock.

he replied, a psychopathic smile on his face.

Lucas drew his sword from its scabbard and prepared himself to attack.

he whispered to the animal next to him.

Lucas walked towards the group of monsters, his sword in his right hand and a fireball in his left one.

Ravak ordered them.

The monsters rushed towards the young man to attack him. The latter threw the fireball that was in his hand towards them, burning them completely. Then, with a blow of his sword, he cut them all in half.

said their leader, a sly smile on his lips.

The monsters he had just killed regenerated and became double the number they were before.

Luana whispered, shocked.

Lucas attacked them again like before, but the result was still the same. They were only increasing in number.

he ordered again, laughing maniacally.

Lucas shouted, turning around to look at his pet.

The monsters split into two groups. One attacked Lucas, and the other attacked Luana and Leo.

Leo tore them to pieces with his powerful teeth and hit them hard with his paws. But there were too many of them for him to handle.

Seeing this, Luana remembered the dagger she had brought with her.

She opened the small pocket that was hanging from her waist and took out the dagger. When she removed it from its scabbard, a red light echoed from the gems that surrounded it and the dagger turned into a long red sword. Luana was surprised to see this.

'It's magical... I did well to bring it with me...' she thought.

She walked over to the monsters that were attacking Leo and raised her sword at them. She followed her instincts and swiveled the weapon to hit them with it, killing them instantly.

'I thought it was going to be harder than that... Luckily, this sword is light...' she thought with a sigh.

She continued to attack them with the help of Leo which angered their leader.

Ravak ordered, enraged.

The monsters regrouped again and attacked Lucas violently. The latter find it difficult to protect himself and attack them at the same time.

the princess whispered.

The animal remained motionless in front of her, slightly hesitant.

Leo nodded before running over to the young knight. He jumped on the monsters that wanted to kill his master by tearing them apart with his teeth and claws.

Lucas congratulated, catching his breath.

The young knight turned to the princess who was far from him to reassure himself of her condition.

His eyes widened in shock as he ran over to her.

he screamed.

The princess turned around and was shocked to see a monster raising its hand with his long, sharp claws towards her to hit her.

She didn't have time to pull herself together when suddenly, a huge animal pounced on the monster and savagely killed it.

Luana stepped back quickly to protect herself and held her sword in front of her.

The animal turned to her and looked at her intently. It was a wolf with a snow white fur and golden eyes. It was slightly smaller than Leo.

The look it gave to Luana was void of threat. So, the young girl put her sword down.

she whispered breathlessly.

Seeing this, Ravak clenched his teeth and his fists and screamed at the top of his lungs.

he ordered as he walked over to Lucas, a murderous aura surrounding him.

The monsters continued to attack Luana with full force while they only increased in number more and more as they were hit.

The two wolves were protecting the princess as best as they could, creating a sort of shield around her.

As for Lucas, he found himself face to face with Ravak. The latter made a long sword appear in his left hand.

he said, smirking.

Lucas gave him a cold, hateful look.

The monster rushed towards him and began to attack him with very quick sword blows that Lucas blocked easily.

The sound of clanking swords echoed loudly across the plain.

Ravak remarked, continuing to smirk evilly.

He quickly approached and delivered a very powerful attack that Lucas blocked once again. Their two swords rubbed hard against each other. The monster approached the knight's face.

he whispered.

Lucas gave him a threatening look.

he said with a psychopathic smile.

Lucas growled, gritting his teeth.

Lucas attacked him violently and seriously injured his arm. But he was shocked to see that his wound healed instantly.

he whispered.

Lucas continued to attack him incessantly. He threw a huge ball of fire at him but to no avail. Ravak's body regenerated each time.

After a few minutes, Lucas was gasping for air. He couldn't feel his body anymore.

The monster takes this opportunity to attack him. So, the young knight decided to focus on defense since he had no more strength to attack.

On Luana's side, the monsters attacking her were increasing in number more and more.

she said, completely exhausted.

Leo and the white wolf were starting to get tired too.

'We can't die here... No... I can't give it all up... I've made it this far... I have to save dad... His cure is right in front of my eyes...' she thought.

Luana fixed her gaze on the gigantic tree, where the Kleffasse was. When she concentrated her gaze on it, she could notice that above the small gap was a small black light that flickered strongly.

Then, she turned her head to look at the monsters around her and noticed that at their chest, where the heart is, was the same flickering black light. She quickly turned her gaze to Ravak and saw the same thing on his chest.

'It's the tree that generates their energy !' she exclaimed.

She turned around quickly to Leo and the other wolf.

she ordered them, whispering.

The wolves looked at her in confusion.

she screamed.

She turned around and quickly ran to the tree as the two animals followed her and protected her from the monsters chasing them.

When she was near the tree, a monster pounced on her from the front, but it was blocked by the white wolf. The latter was severely scratched in its left leg, causing it to fall heavily to the ground, whimpering in pain.

Leo was quick to get in front of it and tore the monster that attacked it to pieces, allowing the animal to have some time to pull itself together.

Luana continued to advance towards the tree, swinging her sword left and right to get rid of the monsters that stood in her way.

As for Lucas, he was slightly injured and had no energy left. Ravak took him by surprise and hit him hard, causing him to fall on the ground on his back.

The monster stood above him. He took his sword to lift it in the air to stab Lucas's heart.

he asked with a maniacal smile.

Lucas gave him a smirk in return.

said the young knight.

Ravak lowered his sword violently to pierce it through Lucas' heart, when he suddenly froze before doing anything. Blood started to come out of his mouth and he started to cough very hard.

Looking around, he saw the monsters decomposing and falling on the ground like dust.

He turned around sharply towards the tree and found Luana there, breathless, her hand on her sword that was piercing the spot of the black light.

he shouted out in pain and anger.

Lucas punched him hard and tackled him to the ground. He raised his sword above him and glared at him.

he whispered.

He pierced his heart with his sword, killing him instantly. Then, Ravak's body evaporated into the air.
