"Our universe grants every soul a twin -- a reflection of themselves -- the kindred spirit -- And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other -- even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love."

Miss Midnight was looking at the two of you with literal sparkles in her eyes. "OH MY GOD, I TOTALLY KNEW IT. I MEAN, ONE'S A TOTAL CRACKHEAD AND THE OTHER DOESN'T SPEAK, BUT IT'S LITERALLY THE GREATEST MATCH OF ALL TIME." Then she switched almost instantly, her tone deader than Jack on the Titanic, "I need you both to come with me. Urgently."
You didn't even glance at Todoroki, knowing that he must have been upset to be your soulmate. You were confused as hell, though. You didn't know why you had to go with the teacher. Yeah, your soulmate mark was a bit different, but it wasn't that big of a deal, right?
Is what you told yourself before sitting down in front of All Might, Aizawa, and Principal Nezu (why the fuck was the principal listed after those two?).
You and Todoroki nervously glanced up at your idol, All-Motherfucking-Might. You were gonna lose your shit. You had completely forgotten that he was teaching at the school.
"Let's get down to business," Aizawa said.
"To defeat the Huns," you mumbled to yourself.
"What was that, Young (L/N)?" All Might asked you, and you froze, staring up at your saviour. You swore you could see light shining around him, and he was just sitting there.
"God?"
All Might laughed strangely, before looking at Aizawa and Principal Nezu, not knowing what the fuck to do as this crackhead child stared up at him. "Aizawa?"

"Basically," Aizawa said, wasting no time. "you guys are a prophecy."
You stared stupidly at him. You weren't even sure you heard him right. "Huh?"
Aizawa picked up a small remote control and pointed it at the projector behind him. The other two moved out of the way so you and Todoroki could see, but Aizawa didn't want to move, so he just slumped down in his seat.
Despite Aizawa's dead tone, this was the biggest news you had ever heard in your life, "It's been a legend for who-knows-how-long that there would be one pair of soulmates with a golden mark and would be the most powerful to ever exist. It's been so long since the legend formed that I guess we all thought it was bullshit. But this just proves it. No one ever in this world has received the kind of mark you two have. I hate to break it to you two at such a young age, but you're that legendary pair of soulmates."
'He didn't even flick through any slides,' you thought. 'He just stayed on the one that says 'legendary'.'
"But," you said, sitting up in your seat. "how is that possible? My quirk isn't that powerful. I don't know about Todoroki yet, but I'm sure he's more powerful than me."
"We've all seen you in the entrance exam," Aizawa said, staring at the both of you, "so we know that statement is full of shit."
"Okay, so my soulmate is really powerful. That's cool." You said. "But I'm not. All I can do is create metal from my hands. That's a ridiculous quirk! 'Hey, would you like bullet to use in battle? I can't create one for you, but I can make it into a similar shape.' That is stupid!"

Todoroki stared at you, and you noticed this. "What?"
He continued to stare at you blankly, and you groaned before saying, "Look, I'm sorry you're stuck with me as a soulmate, okay?! You're right, I also thought someone like me couldn't be a soulmate to someone like you, but it's happened! Now, you—" you pointed at all three of the teachers. "— You guys can't release this information on me on the first day of school. Come back tomorrow and maybe I'll be more accepting of it. And maybe Todoroki, too! Now if you don't mind, I'm gonna go back to class, and have a nice NAP."
You stood up abruptly from your seat and stormed out of the room, ignoring a 'young (L/N)' from All Might.
As you quickly walked back to class, your mind was swarming with thoughts.
'This has got to be some stupid prank they're playing on us. Maybe it's a dream. Maybe I'm finally having that lucid dream I've been trying to achieve for a few months now. That would explain why All Might was in there. But they can't just spring that on to me. Or Todoroki! What does this mean? Do I have more responsibilities now? Do I have to save the whole fucking world as some point? What the FUCK—'
Stopping in the corridor, you leaned against the wall for support, feeling yourself get lightheaded and your chest clench in on itself. Trying to slow your breathing, you lean your forearm on the wall and place your head on it, closing your eyes. Shakily breathing in through your nose, you breathe out. Repeating these steps a few times, you moved away from the wall and shook your arms out, ready to continue your journey to your well-deserved nap.
Arriving back to class, everyone was chatting along with their buddies, some being quiet and shy, and some just being dicks in general (Bakugou). When you walked in, everyone stopped talking and glanced at you. You chuckled lazily and threw up a piece sign, flopping your arm back down and sitting at your desk. A couple of people surrounded you while everyone else went back to chatting with their new buddies.
"So Miss Midnight was right, huh?" You learnt names pretty quickly, and you already knew this girl was called Ashido.
"Not only that, but you and Todoroki are the soulmates!" Knock-off Pikachu/Kaminari said.
"Oh, yeah. That's us." You chuckled, and Kaminari sat on your desk, looking down at you. "I know you must be worried, but I reckon you'll be okay. Plus Ultra!"
Ashido chimed in with her own 'Plus Ultra', and you genuinely smiled, feeling thankful for your two new buddies.
"Plus Ultra."
