"Our universe grants every soul a twin -- a reflection of themselves -- the kindred spirit -- And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other -- even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love."

You both decided to wait a couple of days to train after school. You both needed a break from the USJ incident, and the school had decided to let you guys off for a few days anyway.
It was now Thursday, and you were walking with Todoroki to a park. Not too many people were there, and kids and parents were starting to slowly file out due to the fact that it was four in the afternoon.
You and Todoroki stopped at a large, open land of grass, far away from others so you wouldn't hit them with your quirks in any way. You felt the stares and small murmurs, people having seen your marks.
"How should we start?" You asked him.
"How are you with combat?" He asked, placing down his bag against a tree and unzipping his sports jacket.
"Not great at all." You spoke out honestly.
Todoroki sighed as he leaned his back against the tree, folding his arms over his chest. "(L/N)-san, how will you improve your quirk if you're not even good at combat?"
You scratched the back of your neck sheepishly, shrugging your shoulders. "I don't know. . ."
"Take your jacket off and we'll get started." You had to refrain from wiggling your eyebrows suggestively at him before doing what he told you to. You turned to put your bag down at the same tree he left his, placing your folded jacket on top of it.
"Okay, what now?" The first thing you saw when you turned back around was his fist flying towards your face. You swore loudly, ducking immediately. Standing back up properly, you looked at him with wide eyes. "Are you crazy?!"
He took a few steps back, pointing at you for a moment, "You have fast reflexes. I was only a few inches from hitting your face and you ducked that quickly."

"Well, your fist was kind of rocketing towards my face! What would you have done if I didn't duck?!"
"I would have stopped myself, obviously."
"Obviously. . ." you mumbled out, sighing. You went to prepare yourself, putting your fists in front of you, but Todoroki shook his head and approached you again. "You're doing it wrong."
"How am I doing it. . ." Todoroki came close to you, and you felt yourself forget how to speak. He grabbed one of your hands, balling it into a fist.
"You need to remove your thumb out of the picture completely." He said in a low voice, his hair tickling your face as he leaned down to look at it.
'Dear god, he's gonna rip my thumb off, isn't he? Is that what he meant by removing it out of the picture completely?'
He gently tucked your thumb underneath your knuckles, right on the outside. "You keep it on the outside of your fist. If you place it on the inside, you'll very likely break it."
"O-Okay." You squeaked out. Looking up slightly, his gaze connected with yours. You didn't feel flustered as you looked into his blue and grey eyes. You felt the most relaxed you had ever been in your life.
Is that what it meant? Usually with someone else, you for sure would have felt butterflies in your stomach. You hadn't heard many stories from your soulmate, and your aunt hadn't found hers yet. So you didn't have many sources to base this feeling off.
Still, you didn't have a problem with it. The only thing you did have a problem with was when Todoroki broke eye contact, stepping back to where he was beforehand. He cleared his throat and put his fists up in front of his face. "Keep your hands up here. You want to protect your head and neck as much as possible, seeming as they're one of your most vulnerable points."
'Did he just assume I have a crotch like him?'
You ignored your thoughts, noticing he was charging towards you. You honestly had no idea what to do.
He swung his fist to you, and you quickly dodged it. However, he was quick to respond, swinging his other fist around. He swiftly jabbed you in the stomach, making you stumble back. As you did this, he kicked your feet out from underneath you, causing you to fall.

Todoroki wasted no time to push you down even further, climbing on top of you. He straddled your waist as he gripped onto your wrists, holding them in place above your head. It was so swiftly done that it almost pissed you off. He didn't even break a sweat.
You huffed out in frustration, "I told you I was bad."
"You're giving up too easily," he said. "You haven't realised that there is a way to get yourself out of this situation."
You groaned, "Todoroki, I just wanted to learn basic combat–"
"And this is basic combat. You're going to end up in this position more times than you think you will, so it's better to learn how to get out of it now. Now, figure out a way to get me off you."
You puffed out your cheeks and obliged, looking him up and down, trying to find a way out. You eventually found yourself staring at him longer than need be, and even he noticed. "Stop checking me out, (Y/N)."
You blushed hard, never expecting to hear those words leave his mouth. You cleared your throat and sighed, giving up. "I don't know."
He grabbed both your wrists with one hand as he brought the other down to your hip. "What you need to do is plant your feet on the ground. Once you've done that, push up diagonally with your hips against me. Push yourself up with your legs. Give it a go."
Once following his directions, you pushed up, and you successfully got him off of you. You were now on top of him, and he smiled softly, looking up at you, "Good job. I told you it wasn't hard."
"Ye-Yeah," you laughed nervously, "you were right."
You couldn't help but stare at him again (because you were thirsty as hell), noticing how great he looked in a plain white shirt. Not being able to control your mouth, you said, "You look great in that shirt."
He chuckled at your behaviour, sitting up. He used his hands to prop himself up, you still on his waist. "You just need more practice. And that's what we'll do up until the Sports Festival."
You sighed, shaking your head. "There's no need for that. I've got no chance at that festival."
He frowned in confusion, "Why?"
You chuckled, throwing your hands up and saying, "Because my quirk is the weak as hell. I only just learnt that I can bend other metal, and that took me a whole period to do."
"That doesn't mean it can't be trained before the festival."
You smiled, shaking your head before saying, "No, not before the festival. Just focus on your own–"
"Stop telling me that," he interrupted, shifting in his position slightly. "It's my decision whether I want to help you or not. I've been trained more than enough."
"I just hate the fact that I'm so weak that you have to disregard your own training to help me!" You ran a hand over your face in frustration, something that you found you had been doing a lot lately. You realised you were still on top of Todoroki, and you quickly got off him, standing up.
"That's not what I'm doing–"
"That's exactly what–"
You stopped yourself. You realised you were assuming his motives again. Todoroki noticed this, and he approached you, placing a hand on your shoulder. "I'm choosing to help you, (Y/N). I'm not forcing myself, and you're not forcing me. I asked you if you wanted to train every afternoon, and you agreed. We both wanted to do this."
You bit the inside of your cheek lightly, nodding your head as you looked down at the ground. "You're right. I'm sorry."
"It's okay," he said softly. "Should we continue training?"
You looked up at him, seeing his gentle expression. Nodding your head, you brought a smile to your face, "Sure."
He smiled down at you, "Great."
