《Moonlight ✔︎》Chapter 31

Angel and I were now back in his house, we drove our cars back to the garage and went straight back upstairs.
"Hungry?" He asks me.
"Very." I say rubbing my stomach.
His lips twitch at the action before being replaced with his normal facade.
He leads us to the kitchen and pulls out a stool for me to sit on.
I sit down and tuck the seat in and watch as he works around the kitchen.
He takes out some ingredients and then turns the stove on and began cooking.
"Can I help?" I ask him.
He looks up from the cutting board to me and nods.
I smile and get off the seat walking over to him.
I take the pasta packet and open it, I go over to the stove and place the hard pasta into the hot water dish.
I smile happily as it all goes in neatly and move away putting the packet into the bin.
"We should be chefs." I point out as he continuously cuts.
He smirks without looking up from the cutting board.
"Yeah, we could have our own restaurant and stuff." I rant on stupidly.
He hums and allows me to continue.
"Daisy and Angel's." I say picturing it in my head.
I flip my black locks away from my shoulder and look up at Angel.
He stared at me with an unknown emotion in his eyes before turning back to the board.
He placed everything into the pan as it sizzled away.
He put the cover on top and let it simmer.
I leaned away from the counter and went up to him as he walked over to me.
I smiled up at him and pointed a finger at my cheek.
I could tell that he was trying not to give away any sort of emotions with me, but he failed miserably when his lips broke into the smallest smile.
He quickly covered it by leaning down to my cheek and placing a kiss on it.
He moves his lips to my lips and pecked them.
I took this opportunity to wrap my arms around his neck keeping him closer to me.
"Mr Romano."
A deep voice spoke from behind him.
I stood away from him as Angel had rolled his eyes and turned to the man.
"Your father wanted me to remind you about the meeting being held in an hour at the empire." The man spoke authoritatively.
Angel looked at him with cold eyes and nodded as he dismissed him.
I realised how cold and distant he was to others, though with me it's like his walls were down just the slightest.
Angel stood away and went over to the food.

I sat down on the counter and watched him move around the kitchen skilfully.
"What meeting is it?" I ask him curiously.
"Russians." He replies as he looks up at me through hooded eyes.
"Oh, is to do with that whole new partnership thing." I ask as I swing my legs.
He hums in response and takes the now boiled pasta into a straining dish.
"Could I come?" I asked him.
He stared at me blankly and raised an eyebrow.
"Sure." He replies.
Slowly, a grin plastered on my lips.
He continued cooking until everything was finally done.
He grabbed one bowl and placed the pasta in, handing it to me.
"You're not eating?" I ask him with concern.
He shakes his head and sits down on the counter opposite me.
I take the pasta to my lips and savour the heavingly food.
"It's amazing." I mumble as I swallow the food.
"Good." He says.
Angel's phone begun to ring, he took it out and placed it to his ear.
"Che cosa?" He says darkly.
Translation; What?
I zoned out as I continued to eat the delicious food in my hands.
After finishing eating, Angel escorted us out of the house.
We got in his car and drove off.
The car ride was silent, the only brief noise was the soft radio in the background and the roar of the engine.
I leaned back in my seat as we made it to the familiar enormous house.
My mind went back to the gorgeous library placed in the house and I couldn't help but smile at such a perfect place.
Angel parked the car in front of the mansion and got out of his side.
He walked over to mine and opened the door for me.
I took his hand and walked with him into the home.
Just like last time there were people scattered around the room, either talking on phones or with each other, others were working on laptops and some were just browsing around.
Angel led me up the familiar black stairs, a man and a woman were walking down, passing us.
"Hey, Angel" The woman greeted him quite flirtatiously.
"Boss." The man says nodding at him.
Angel meekly looked at them both before turning his cold gaze away.
As the woman passed me she timidly eyed me, not feeling intimidated by her gaze I bluntly rolled my eyes at her immatureness.
Just because you can't get what others have doesn't mean you have to be a sour bítch about it.
We made it to the top, Angel had wrapped his arm around the small of my back as he led me towards the familiar brown wooden doors.

"Who's the meeting with?" I whisper.
"Capo." He says back as he opens the doors.
If I'm correct with my hopeless knowledge I'm guessing that's the boss?
I'm gonna need Tyson to give me some lessons.
As the doors opened a room of very scary-looking men were sat down on the table.
They all had a glass of what looked like whiskey, and some had cigars resting between their fingers.
One of them I recognised was the guy talking to Carlos Romano at the dinner table from the ball.
Carlos Romano was actually here himself.
If there was one person in the world that scared the daylight shít out of me, it was him.
I don't think he likes me very much anyways.
All attention goes to Angel and me as we walk inside the room.
Angel's cold, deadpanned face was on and it definitely intimidated me.
I held my head high as I walked beside Angel as he pulled out an empty seat for me.
I sat down and leaned back in the seat and looked up to see all the men's eyes on me.
I absolutely hated attention but I was not going to show my discomfort.
"Welcome, Angel." The man greets, who was sitting directly opposite Angel.
Angel looks at him darkly and nods his head once.
"And who's this you have with you?" The man asked as his eyes strained on me.
Angel's body tensed visibly and his jaw clenched.
"Daisy Viola." Carlos piped in.
"Nice to meet you, sir." I politely say towards the man.
He gives me a tight-lipped smile and nods.
"Mikal Petrov." He says holding his hand out.
I send him a small smile and shake my hand with his.
The men start talking about business things and I sit back and listen.
Angel sat back in his chair looking completely uninterested in the whole conversation.
I listened to the man talk as Angel sat beside me, all of a sudden his hand came onto my exposed thigh as he discretely ran it over my skin.
My breath hitches as it teasingly trails higher and higher, I bite my lip from sounding any profanities through my mouth.
Angel's face was kept blank as he stared expressionlessly at the man.
I adjusted myself in my seat as his hand trailed all the way to the top of my thigh and then squeezed the skin.
My heart jolted and I felt an undeniable good feeling occur in the pit of my stomach at the contact.
Oh god.
I stare intensely at the wall as I clench my thighs together.
I slap his hand lightly making sure It wouldn't make any noise.
As much as I wanted him to touch me, the intimidating Russian man in front of us seemed pretty keen on getting Angel to talk here.
Angel runs his tongue over his bottom lip as a sly smirk form on his full lips.
He moves his hand down my thigh and leaves it there.
I subconsciously play with his fingers as the man finishes talking.
"What do you think, Angel?" The man asks.
I look up from his hand and turn to Angel.
"As long as you're willing to pay the full amount, I don't have an issue." Angel replies monotonously.
The man clears his throat and nods.
"Well, I'm willing to offer some of my men to join with yours for this arrangement." He complies.
Angel nods his head and then takes out a pen and the neat pile of paper placed on the table.
I watch him write and sign a few things, not to mention how incredibly neat his handwriting was.
Thinking about comparing his to mine I would just laugh, my handwriting looked as if it was two-year-old writing nonsense.
Angel finished and then handed the papers to Mikal, he took them and everyone had seemed to watch his eyes run over the paper.
A smirk formed on his lips as he clasped his hands.
"Great, deals done." He cheered and took the papers into his hands.
"Thank you for your time today, I'll be in touch." Mikal says.
Angel nods once and looks over at his father.
His father nods at Angel, dismissing him as Angel stood up from his seat and held out his hand for me.
I took it and stood up with him as we silently walked out of the room.
The men were also close behind us, though Angel had led us towards another door, the one that held the big library.
A smile plastered on my face as we walked towards the wooden doors.
Angel opened it up and held the door open for me as I walked through.

Hi, lovelies !!
I just wanted to do a small apology if any of the words are wrong in Italian, I am using google translate so obviously not all the words will be right but I'm trying my best.
I am also trying my best to double update and write longer but I'm dealing with a lot of shít right now in my personal life so it's hard to write every day and do doubles, but I promise when I get time to I will do it :)
Updates aren't changing just to make it clear to everyone, I'll still be posting daily there just won't be any doubles for a while.
ily all, thank you for reading,
