With the burning pound in my head, my morning couldn't have been any better.
Rule Number 1 - Never drink on a Monday night when you have school the next morning.
Tyson had gotten me up for school and was dropping me off because I couldn't drive due to my massive hangover.
Tyson also filled me in on everything that happened yesterday; Angel had driven me home after I fell asleep, and Tyson was apparently at the meeting as well, though he arrived later.
"Have a good day daffodil." Tyson says as he ruffles my hand.
"You too." I mumble.
I got out of the car and was about to close the door when Tyson stopped me.
"Oh, by the way, I won't be home tonight I've got work."
I nod my head and close the door waving at him.
I make my way up the dreadful school steps as my head pounded.
Why the hell hasn't this headache stopped yet.
My thoughts were cut off by Ian waving at me frantically.
"Why do you look like you're about to murder someone?" He mentions as he approaches me.
"Because I'm actually considering it." I mumble grumpily.
Ian laughs and places his arm over my shoulder.
"Hangover?"
I nod in response as we make it to my locker, and I open it lazily.
"How are you not dying right now?" I ask him.
He shrugs and smirks at me.
"I'm built different." He says patting his chest.
I snicker and close the locker door, flinching at the sound.
"Did you take any Tylenol?"
"Yes," I responded bluntly.
He frowns in confusion but shrugs it off.
"What class do you have now?" Ian asks.
"Cal."
He cringes and walks to the entrance of his class.
"Good luck." He says.
I give a weak smile and raise my thumbs.
My feet take themselves to my lesson on their own.

I make it there and take a seat in the back.

The throbbing in my head had not subsided by the end of the day.
Angel, as well as any of his friends, were nowhere to be found.
Ian had dropped me off at my house, so I went inside, locked the door, and went upstairs to my room.
I sighed and tossed my bag on the floor, deciding to take a shower in the hopes of alleviating the aching in my body.
Before walking into the bathroom my phone had dinged telling me I had received a message.
I pulled it from my pocket and gazed at the screen.
I'm coming over.
I texted him back and asked him to come through the window because I was in the shower.
I walked into my bathroom, grabbing my towel and some comfortable clothes.
Closing the door, I went in front of the mirror and looked at myself.
"I look like a drowned rat." I mumble to myself.
I slowly remove my clothes and untie the bun in my hair.
My hair was flowing freely down my back as I grabbed my shampoo and conditioner and placed them on the shower floor before turning on the water.
I sighed contentedly as the hot steam swiftly filled the room.
I stepped into the steaming shower and shut the clear glass door beside me.
As I got under the hot water, the water poured down my body.
I closed my eyes and tilted my head back, letting the water pour through my hair as I wrapped my hands around it.
I reached down to take the shampoo bottle, but I stumbled a little since I had been overcome with unexpected dizziness.
I shrugged it off and rose slowly, squeezing shampoo into my hair.
The dizziness had only grown after cleaning my hair, so I leant against the wall behind me and closed my eyes.
My eyes had suddenly become heavier and heavier, and before I knew it, I had passed out entirely.

"Daisy?" Someone's voice called.
I slowly opened my eyes and was met with Angel's light ones.
I lazily looked around the room confused, I was changed into the clothes I had brought out and was lying on my bed with blankets wrapped around me.
It was also dark outside, and my body was cold even though the blankets around me kept me warm.
I looked back at Angel confused.
"What happened?"
"Passed out in the shower." He answers looking concerned.
My eyes widen and then suddenly the memories came back.
"Yeah, I wasn't feeling too good today." I say to myself confused.
His hand came to my forehead and looked at it with slight concern.
"Your temps high, how do you feel?" He asks me.
Now that I think about it the pound in my head was still present and my throat ached.
"Not good." I say quietly.
Nodding, he stands up and removes his phone from his pocket.
After saying a few words in Italian to the person on the other line he hung up and then walked up to the bed's side, removed his shoes, and laid next to me.
I shifted my weight to my side, facing him, but I didn't approach him since I didn't want to make him sick.
When he noticed this, he rolled his eyes and drew my body over to him.
"I don't want you getting sick." I mumble in his chest.
"I don't care." Angel says bluntly.
I sighed and hesitantly wrapped my arms around him and snuggled my head in his chest.
His hands soothingly rubbed circles on my back and stomach.
"Where were you today?" I asked him.
He gazed down at me emotionlessly and responded.
"I had to do some things for my father."
I nodded and continued to look at him.
A few minutes went by, Angel and I continue studying each other until he broke it and took his ringing phone to his ear.
He hung up after the person spoke and unwrapped his arms from me.
"I'll be back." He says getting up from the bed.
As he walks out the door, I observe him with a puzzled expression.
He reappeared a minute later, holding a plastic bag.
I sat there and watched as he sat down on the bed and got out some medicine and a delicious-smelling soup.
As I saw what he had done for me, my lips broke into a wide smile.
He grabbed the plastic spoon and opened the soup for me.
He drew nearer to me and raised his eyes from the bowl.
He lowered his gaze to my lips, then took the spoon in his hand and raised it to my lips.
I parted my mouth and let the heavenly taste hit my buds.
I hummed in delight and a faint smile came to my lips.
"Thank you, Angel."
He leans down and pecks my lips before returning to the bowl and continues to feed me.
After eating and taking medicine, I kept sitting up and rested my head on the headboard.
Angel had thrown everything in the bin and was now sitting next to me.
"What did you do today?" I ask him.
He shrugs carelessly.
"Mafia shít."
His response makes me giggle, and the corner of his lips twitch up as he looks across at me.
"I also did a few other things."
I give him a faint smile and gaze into his eyes.
"Yeah?" I respond.
He hums softly and leans in closer to me.
"And what would that be?" I ask softly.
His lips brush up on my jaw before leaning in close to my ear.
"Thinking of you." He whispers huskily.
My cheeks coat heat and all I could think of was how perfect this boy was.

The Emperor's Concubine
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] The heroine is good and the villainess is evil. That was the absolute truth. That rule was undeniable as well as the fact that only the heroine would receive true love and her happy ending. Likewise, the malicious villainess would always suffer and leave the stage to clear the path for the perfect heroine in the end. So, for Blanche it felt like her world came crashing around her when she remembered the truth about her life. As the villainess in the typical romance novel “To Be Empress” she was fated to be condemned and abandoned by her lover. No matter how devoted she was to Theodore Estien, the emperor of Artias, she would only be the bratty concubine that would obstruct the heroine, who happened to be Theodore's lawful wife and the empress. In the end, the villainess would be deserted and executed. It was destined to happen like this, and yet she couldn't give up. She had to change the future. Preventing the romance between the main characters would get her killed. Much like trying to steer away from the enemies' intrigues, in which she was already caught up, would. But neither the heroine nor the emperor's political rivals would change the fact that Blanche loved the man that was supposed to be the heroine's. And no matter what happened she would always stay by her lover's side. So she wouldn't just follow the book's storyline and let her own doom arrive. Blanche would survive while trying to suppress all of the selfish desires that had made her the villainess. But was she truly fine with that? Did she not desire more than just surviving? Did she even have the right? Could the villainess ask for a happy end? Was she too brazen if she just wanted to stay with the man she loved and receive his affection? And wasn't there a bit more to this novel than she remembered? She didn't know and in the end that mattered little when the world around her changed with each day as more and more questions about the future and the past arose. "The Emperor's Concubine" will be updated thrice a week (usually on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) *The Profanity tag was added due to the characters' occasional swearing, which should not happen too often.
