《Moonlight ✔︎》Chapter 69

Today was the day before Angel and I left for Italy.
I was ecstatic to be travelling; I hadn't left our small town since last year, and it had only been to California, which wasn't too far away.
Italy appeared to be a literal dream, and I was thrilled to be going with the one person I love.
I awoke in a bright and cheerful mood, having showered and dressed for the day.
I had to pack all day, as did Angel, and when I offered to help him, he protested and said he would call a maid to do it for us both.
But, because I don't like it when people touch my belongings, I stated I'd do it myself.
Angel was in the living room with Elio and Drake, so I skipped over to them.
Elio gave me a friendly smile and patted the seat next to him, which I gratefully accepted.
"Are you looking forward to it?" He turns to face me and asks.
"More than anything," I add with a smile.
"Wait, are you guys also coming?" I asked furrowing my brows.
"Drake and Lycian, too," He beams with happiness.
"Yes! That's great, we can do so many things, it'll be so much fun." I ramble.
Elio laughs and shakes his head in my direction.
"Yeah, and we need to get you a girlfriend," Drake props in.
I agree with him and nod my head.
"Italian babes!" Lycian yells from around the corner.
Elio huffs, "Guys, I'm fine being single."
"Plus, Drake is single too." He adds.
"Yeah but he's a man whòre, meaning he probably won't settle down till he's thirty or something..." Lycian mumbled.
I laughed and turned to face Angel, who was staring at his friends as if they were the stupidest people on the planet.
I lean over and place my head on his lap.
His eyes soften somewhat as his attention is drawn to me. His palm came to rest on my head, as he gently stroked my hair.
"I have a surprise for you tonight," I tell him.
A slight smirk appears on his lips as he lifts an eyebrow.
"And what is that?" With a mischievous glint in his eyes, he asks.
"It's a surprise isn't it?" I say, innocently shrugging.
He looks away from me and shakes his head.
"It's not fish, is it?" As he shifts his focus to his ringing phone, he says.
"Nope." I grin.
"Fish?" Lycian questions.
I look over at him and hum.
"Yup, I was thinking of buying fish, one that looks like Nemo and the other that looks like Dory."
"Don't forget about the dad! Nemo needs Marlin." Lycian shouts.
"Eh, isn't that why it's called Finding Nemo?" I say.
Lycian gives me a weird look, "So Marlin can find Nemo?" I elaborate.
Drake rolls his eyes and looks over at us, "Yeah, but how is Marlin going to find Nemo when he's in a fùcking fish tank in a random person's home."

"Y'all realise that it's not actually Nemo and Dory?" Elio says looking up from his phone.
I giggle and shrug my shoulders, then turn to face Angel, who had a bored expression on his face as he listened to the other person on the other end of the phone.
As he glanced at me, Angel's eyes met mine and a faint smile appeared on his lips.
"Sono con la mia ragazza stasera, risolvi il problema da solo." He says coldly to the person on the other line as he stares at me.
Translation; I'm with my girl tonight, fix the problem yourself.
He tossed his phone to the side and swiftly grabbed me and sat me on his lap.
"Okay?" I ask, my gaze roaming over his.
He moves in close and kisses the side of my cheek.
"Yeah." He murmurs.
"K, I'm leaving. Peace out whòres." Lycian yells.
Angel sighs and leans his head against my neck.
"Bye, Daisy!" Elio screams as he walks away, followed by Drake, who smiles at me.
As they go away, I give a soft wave, leaving me to be alone with Angel.
"Do you have to go to work?" I ask, my gaze falling on his.
He leans his head against my shoulder and shakes his head.
"So I've got you to myself all day?" I grin.
He hums and glides his hands around my body, sending automatic goosebumps to my skin.
"I'm going to go pack." I inform him and rise off his lap.
"And..." I say as I yank on his hand, attempting to lift him, "You're helping me, tough guy."
He rolls his eyes but stands up either way.
I hide my victorious smile and skip in front of him, heading for his bedroom, which I had now invaded.
*
It was now 7:00 p.m, and it was finally time to reveal my surprise to Angel.
I told him to meet me at the bottom of the stairs where I was waiting for him after he had showered.
I stood there watching him descend the stairs, clothed in a basic black sweatshirt and plain black sweatpants, while I was dressed in a white, short, cottage dress that I usually only wear at home.
His grey, blue eyes stared directly into mine as he glanced at me through his dark long eyelashes.
"Are you ready?" I ask.
"Yes," He answers.
I smile and take his hand in mine.
I led him via the back of his house, directing us to the lush botanical garden.
We walk out the wide glass doors and onto the porch, where I take a step back to let him see what I've done.
My eyes are drawn to the large white picnic blanket I'd spread out on the grass, as well as the four little lanterns on either side of it. Two large blankets were folded to the side, and a brown basket was set aside.

I had stuffed a book and two tubs of ice cream into the basket because I had no idea what he liked to eat.
I grinned at the lovely scenery; the fairy lights in the garden lit the colourful flowers, and the gloomy moonlight cast down on the garden as well.
I raise my eyes to Angel, who has a slight smile on his lips as he looks around before shifting his sight to me.
My face flushed as his hand hooked onto my waist and drew me against his body.
"You did this for me?" He asked, his gaze fixed on my eyes.
I swallowed and nodded, "Of course," I said quietly.
As he glanced down at my lips, he leant his head down to mine, his lips brushing mine.
"Thank you." He whispers softly, his gaze returning to mine.
I lean in close to him, my gaze falling on his lips before gently pressing them against mine.
As our lips locked, our eyes closed, and we kissed slowly and steadily, his hands roaming my waist.
Soon after, we parted ways, and I smiled against his lips as I drew back and led him to the garden.
We'd sat down on the blanket, and I'd sat on his lap, unfolding the two blankets and placing them on our bodies.
I reached into the basket and grabbed two large spoons, as well as our ice cream.
One Vanilla and one Mint Chocolate.
He pulled them from my grasp as I reached for the book in the basket.
I nestled in between the blanket and his warm body, resting my head against his chest.
Angel fed me as I began to read the book to him out loud.
*
I completed the book and possibly the entire tub of ice cream a while later.
Angel sat and listened intently to me the entire time, his gaze fixed on me.
I felt so at ease during this time, but it was destroyed when my nerves reminded me of what I had planned for the evening.
I take a deep breath and drink it down before going into the basket and pulling out the small box.
As I set the velvet deep blue box on my lap, Angel's eyes follow my every move.
"I've got you something," I whisper softly, my cheeks flushing.
As he gazes at me with adoration, I notice his lips twitch at the sides.
My fingers slowly open the box, revealing the small silver ring inside.
When I placed the box in front of him, his large tatted hand reached out to take it.
"I had to take one of your rings in secret so I could match your size," I say as my nerves cause me to shift my gaze from his face to the ring several times.
"See," I say as I put out my hand to show him my matching ring, "I have one with your initials and you have one with mine."
I waited for his reaction as I gazed up at him through my lashes.
He attentively examines the ring, poring over every detail.
As he finally looked up at me, his tongue ran across his bottom lip, his concentrated gaze fixated on my anxious brown eyes.
His hands pull me towards him, allowing my legs to easily swing around his waist.
"Moonlight, I love it." He says deeply
His words make me smile and blush.
"You do?" I ask.
"I do." He states, then he takes the ring and places it on his ring finger, precisely like mine.
He then takes my hand in his and tenderly kisses the ring on my finger with his lips.
I blush once again, grateful for the darkness at the moment.
Our eyes locked onto each other, and we stared at each other intensely as our heads leant in closer and closer until our lips were only inches away.
"Ti amo." He whispers, his thick accent piercing my ears.
I bite my lip and smile.
"Ti amo, Angel," I whisper back.
His lips pressed against mine, the soft brush of his lips against mine.
My hands pushed him closer to me as they proceeded from his back to his neck.
My tongue brushed against his lower lip, begging him to let me in, but he chose to tease me and refused.
Our kiss had quickly become passionate and urgent, and his tongue had finally entered into my mouth, merging with mine.
He had quickly grabbed me and placed me on the blanket, his large frame hovering over me while he kissed me passionately.
As I pushed him down onto me, my legs curled around his waist, and the huge tent in his jeans rubbed against my stomach as his body pressed against mine.
I moaned as I felt it push against me, his lips had moved away from mine, but he hadn't withdrawn them from my skin as he trailed kisses all the way down my neck.
My hands caressed his muscular back, sending sparks of heat through my skin as his lips worked against my flesh, nipping, nibbling, and sucking every inch and spot, bringing me into ecstasy.
As he did so, I pressed my body into him, allowing low angelic groans to escape his luscious lips. My body was craving for his touch as the vibrations of his deep voice pulsed against my neck.
"Do you have a co-
"It's in the basket," I say breathlessly.
He leant away from my neck and looked down at me with a devilish smirk on his lips.
He hums and tilts his head, "Came prepared, hm."
I giggle and press my lips on his once more.
His hand reached into the basket as he viciously kissed me back.
And for the rest of that night, Angel made sure that I wouldn't be able to walk for at least a week.
