" i can't believe i am going to be a dad again ? " kristian said with a huge smile ad he hugged me for the thousandth time in 5 minutes , i laughed at him and hugged him back . but disturbing our peaceful moment was mateo coming in with a doctor and a nurse behind them

" guys ?? the doctor is here " mateo said with a cough , i pushed kristian away with a blush , he stood up right away and gave mateo a sheepish smile

"what the hell? why are you smiling like that ? you're creeping me out !!! see i already have Goosebumps " mateo said as he rubbed his hands and took a step back . i laughed hysterically almost falling of the bed , kristian came and pulled me up as he helped me lean on the perfectly divided pillows with a scowl on his face

"anyway let the doctor check you , i already told her about your problems so she can start testing right away " mateo said as he took the file that the nurse was holding from her

"actually . . . there is something you don't know . . . "

"that's not possible ... " mateo stated as he looked at me with a smirk

"i am pregnant " i said with a smile , the smirk that was on Mateo's face disappeared as the file that he was holding fell on the ground with a thump , he stared at me dumbfounded gaze as he froze in his spot , kristian laughed out loud as i chuckled

"he might be the one on need of a check up now ! " i said to kristian with a whisper making him laugh even more

"Mr. Knight let us check on the lady for precaution ." the doctor who was standing at the side said with a humble smile making me frown

"i don't need it . . . "

"we're already here my love , let's get you checked please , for my peace of mind do it " kristian said as he held my hand and gave me his puppy eyes

"you know i can't say no these eyes !" i nodded my head with a small smile , i wanted to check on my baby too so i gave up , another needle in my body won't hurt, hopefully .

"good , i will wait with mateo outside then , i have somethings to do and i need to see Adam , he is still waiting for a word from us with ben " kristian said a small smile , i nodded my head as i saw him leave the room while pulling a frozen mateo making me laugh with the doctor and nurse

"okay MRS. Knight , i have some basic questions for you if you don't mind ?"

"yes of course . . . "

"what happened guys ? how is scarlet ?" Adam asked as he ran towards us right when me and mateo walked out of the room

"she . . . she is . . . " mateo stuttered as i stared at him with amusement dancing in my eyes while Adam looked confused

"so your smiling so she is definitely okay " Adam said as he pointed at me and then at mateo "then what's wrong with this dunce ? i have never seen him speechless before "

"who is a dunce ? you're dunce , you're whole family of three generations are dunces " mateo snapped as he screamed at Adam making him close his ears with a smirk

"yup he is back !! anyway what happened ?" Adam asked again with curiosity in his eyes , i opened my mouth to speak but mateo screamed first

"i am gonna be an uncle again !!" he said with the biggest grin ever making me laugh. Adam smiled as he stared at me with amazement and excitement

"she's pregnant??" i nodded my head with a smile

" yup i am gonna be an uncle again !!" mateo screamed again making Adam hit him at the back of his head

"it's not about you , you dunce " Adam said as he walked forward and hugged me

"congratulations man , you deserve it and Noah is gonna be ecstatic" i nodded my head as I hugged him back , it took us a couple of minutes to calm down and leave the moment , i took a seat in the waiting hall with the guys and looked at them with a serious look

"what did Alanzo say ? "

"seven was the one who made the shot , and as you see he missed , his injury is probably not healed " Adam said as relayed the information that Alanzo told him earlier before we arrived

"but he was still able to come near us Adam, he almost shot her today , we need to move faster "

"at least we know why she is here and who is helping her so we can finally destroy her for eternity !!" mateo said with venom

"you figured out why she was here ?" i asked with shock

"yup , her padre was planning to build another empire for her here , that's why he gave her seven and a small amount of men with her , but before they could even start we annihilated the Romano's family making her lose all her backing so she wants revenge now " Adam said as he stood up and leaned against the wall with his hands in his pockets

"this is my territory , she can't be thinking she can roam around and harm my people and that i will leave her to live peacefully " i said with anger " i need her down and as soon as possible , with scarlet pregnancy , i can't have her be in constant danger , neither her nor Noah"

"i know boss , don't worry one of our men is already inflated her headquarters and soon we will get all the info we need , but for the time being let's leave Alanzo as a guard in your house for Noah and me and the guys will stay at your place to help guard scarlet " Adam said with determination , i nodded my head at him giving my approval , the moment we stopped talking the doctor walked out of scarlet's room with the nurse behind her , i stood up and walked to her waiting for her to speak

"how is she ? is everything okay ?" the doctor nodded her head as she passed the file to mateo

"The situation isn't quite clear yet Mr. Knight i still need to see the tests results " my heart thumped faster as i heard her talk

"what do you mean ? is something wrong with scarlet or the baby ?" Adam asked as i stared at the doctor waiting for her to finish talking

"no both of them are alright for now "

"for now ?" i asked with higher voice , feeling my hands start to shake

"the thing is it seems like miss scarlet had been under a lot of stress lately and her body nourishment isn't exactly at it best point , she is lacking a lot of sleep and a lot of vitamins and that is quite harmful for a baby specially at this stage , the first trimester is always the hardest , so to pass it carefully MRS. Knight needs to rest probably and to have a nourishment plan and to try her best to stay away from stress, i know that it's impossible to not have stress but we have to find away to reduce it . and she might refuse food a lot because of her morning sickness which seems that will be a struggle but you still have to find away for her to be fed all the time " i stared at the doctor with a lot of complicated feelings

"should we put her in bed rest ?" mateo asked the doctor with a frown

"oh no ! having to lead a normal life can be the best therapy , don't believe that putting her under this kind of pressure will do her any good , and normal movements with help is quite needed to keep her healthy , as i already told her inside the room she should really be carful for the dizziness spells that can happen , fainting can be quite normal sometimes too so don't be to alarmed but make sure she has someone with her all the time on the first month until we pass this stage " the doctor said with a smile as she nodded at us

"alright thank you doctor " i said to the doctor as i walked around her to go inside the room

"oh MR. Knight i forgot to tell you that the madam is on iv drops so make sure she sleeps a bit to rest as it finishes " i nodded my head and walked in ignoring everyone behind me , i stepped into the room and saw scarlet laying down with tears in her eyes , i ran towards her and sat beside her , i saw her puffy eyes and felt my heart shatter

"hey. . . "

"i am sorry . . . "

"what are you apologizing for my love ?" i said with a whisper as i cleaned her tears from her face

"for putting our baby in danger " scarlet hiccupped as she laid one hand on her stomach

" your not putting anyone in danger love , everything will be okay , i will make sure of that " i said with a smile as laid beside her and hugged her closer to me

"now i want you to stop crying and thinking negative thoughts because stress isn't good for you , and go to sleep " she nodded her head as she sniffled again with a small smile

"i promised Noah to be home as soon as possible !" she looked at me distress , i smiled at her and patted her hair

" we will go home as soon as the iv ends " she nodded her head as she laid down on my chest and we both drifted to sleep
