Waking up everyday for the past year has been hard for me. Thankfully I had Emma to give me a reason to get up in the morning.

After Kevin’s funeral, I moved out of his apartment. It was just too painful being there.

Ethan has been such a big help. He would fly to and from LA, 2 or even 3 times a week so he could be with Emma and I. He even hired a private tutor so Sara could visit and stay with us.

Ethan held his distance. He respected me and respected my space. I obviously still loved him. I never stopped loving him, its just I could enter a relationship after everything that’s happened.

I continued to go to school. I was determined to be a pediatrician, just like Kevin was.

As time went on I successfully graduated medical school. I was really proud of myself. I finally did it.

I got into a residency program in LA. After so long, it was time to go home.

Ethan and I resumed our relationship 3 years ago. He immediately insisted we get married but I told him I wanted to finish medical school first. The day of my graduation Ethan proposed for the 100th time. I finally said yes.
