Theo had called to say he was coming with the check so I called Patti and she was on her way.

I was so nervous and I'm not sure why but I know I'm going to cry when I see Patti.

Theo walked into my office and handed me the check and kissed my cheek. "You ok sweetness?"

"Just nervous I guess," I said looking down at the checks in my hands.

"Dad was excited to write that check. He is sending someone over to take a picture and do an article on Candy Rush and Jenna's foundation I hope that's ok."

"As long as Patti is ok with it then I am as well."

It wasn't long until Elena knocked on the door and said Patti was out front.

"Send her on back if you don't mind Elena."

"Sure thing Vaylin."

A few minutes later there was a quiet knock on the door and when it opened Patti was standing there smiling in her pink pants suit.

"Oh goodness, Theo you are such a handsome young man."

"Thank you, Patti! It's nice to see you." He said hugging her.

"I'm glad that you could make it Patti."

"Oh Vaylin this has meant so much to me you don't even know."

"I have enjoyed making the chocolate and when I say blood sweat and tears went into them well tears for sure." I laugh.

"My dad matched what we made here at Candy Rush and he wants to take a picture of you guys together and tell a little story about it for the paper if you are ok with it."

"I'm more than ok with it Theo." Pattie smiled.

"Well, Patti here are your two checks. We made twenty thousand here at Candy Rush and Donnie matched it and here is another check for twenty thousand and I really hope it helps Jenna's foundation.

Patti started to cry. "You guys have no idea how this makes me feel. I'm completely speechless and overwhelmed with love. Jenna was one special young girl who didn't get to continue with life but I'm so thankful that you didn't forget her all of these years Theo and you Vaylin what you did is beyond words."

I got up and went around my desk and gave her a hug and Theo joined in and we just stood and cried for a few minutes.

"It was my pleasure. Valentine's Day around here is for Jenna and until there is no breath left in my body we will do this every year."

"Oh goodness, you are such a sweetheart no wonder Theo loves you so much."

There was a knock on the door and a guy from Kingston Paper was there to take our picture and write down a little story.

Theo went out to see what candy Issac was making while Patti and I discussed everything about Candy Rush and Jenna's foundation and explained what the foundation really does.

An hour later Patti left with more candy and I went in search of Theo. Of course, he was in the back with Issac eating chocolate.

"Boss, can you get your husband? He's eating up all of our profit." Issac laughed.

"I can do that but first tell me how was your Valentines?"

"It was great! We double-dated. Elena and I went with Beau and Hailey and we went out to eat and got them flowers and then went to a romantic comedy movie."

"Oh, I'm so proud of you both! Look what Theo got me." I held my necklace in my hand.

"Chocolate diamonds? Smooth Theo." He laughed.

"Anything for my girl," Theo said putting his arm around me.

"If you don't mind Issac I'm going to head out. It's been an emotional day and I'm just ready for some wine in front of the tv with this guy."

"Sure boss go ahead we are going to finish working on the milk chocolate peanut butter hearts. You know people will be in here in the morning still wanting valentines candy."

"Thanks, Issac."

I walked back to my office and grabbed my jacket and Theo followed me out of the building and we headed home.

We hadn't been home long when the doorbell rang and Theo went to answer it.

"Mom and Dad are here."

I walked into the kitchen and they were standing there with food containers in their hands.

"We brought Chinese and wanted to sit and talk about how it went with Patti," Kalene said.

"Oh, thanks, guys! I'm starving and today went perfectly. She cried and I cried." I laughed.

"I even teared up a little bit. She was very grateful and I think the piece in the paper is going to turn out great." Theo smiled.

We gathered around the dining room table with our containers of Chinese and a bottle of wine.

After dinner, Donnie and Theo went out on the back patio while Kalene and I sit at the table and enjoyed more wine.

"I knew that you would sell so much of those Jenna's sacks."

"Thanks, Kalene. I have never raised money like that so I was nervous and I didn't want to let Patti down. Have you ever met her?"

"A couple of times when the kids were little and had playdates but we didn't run in the same circles."

"I think she was shocked to see Theo but she gave him a big hug."

"Last I saw her was at the funeral and there were so many people that you couldn't walk around."

"That's so sad she had such a long life ahead of her but if we can help sick kids I'm all for it and I want to do this every year."

"It's very big of you sweetie... So are you pregnant yet?"

"Oh, Kalene no not yet. Not trying either." I laughed as Donnie and Theo walked back in.

"We better get going and let you kids get some sleep. I will see you in the morning, Theo. Nite Vaylin."

"Night guys! Thanks for the food."

Once they left we locked up and headed up to bed.
