Part 30

Angel's Pov 

I walked out of the bathroom in my bathrobe, finally I felt really refreshed after taking a long shower. 

There are still 2 hours left for the conference to start so I decided to dry my hair with a hair dryer. Of course it's gonna take longer than necessary. 

Yesterday was a very hectic day. In the morning I was the happiest girl. 

Even the slap from Lacey didn't bother me because the kiss was the best thing that happened and I thought blaize and I finally got closer. 

But once again my hope crumbled upon by the truth. When I thought that the kiss was the start for our relationship, to Blaize it was just a pure mistake. 

Again my heart broke into pieces. He really hates me that much. I tried my very best to control my emotions in front of him. But I broke down in sobs when I locked myself in my room. 

I didn't even have dinner but then again the maid came and asked me to have lunch because if I didn't then Blaize will fire her out. 

I was again confused, he is sending me mixed signals. Sometimes he hates me, scolds me, behaves like he would be anywhere but near me and sometimes he cares like he loves only me in this whole world. 

I had dinner and finally went to sleep. Since morning I was again in my room, I have already completed my work and sent it to Adrian with the help of a maid. 

But Benny came with lunch and ordered me to finish it so I had to. Again I went to sleep for the whole noon and in the evening started to prepare for the conference. 

I decided to wear my best office attire as it's a professional gala. 

After drying my hair, I was about to take my clothes out when there was a knock on my door. 

"Who is it?" I asked. 

"It's me, Benny" I opened my door and she smiled.

"It's thought we could get ready together, plus I wanted to see what you were wearing" she said happily while I locked the room again. 

"This" I showed her my office attire.

Her face was constructed with a strange expression. "Uhm Angel, you don't wear an office outfit at conferences, didn't you bring any dresses?" 

I shook my head "I thought these clothes are good" she shook her head and murmured. I knew it. 

"What?" I asked. "Nothing, here I have dresses for you, I thought you might need them and see I was right" 

She showed me a dress, it was black in color, but what shocked me was it's design. 

It was a completely backless dress, and the front had a deep neckline, it was a strip dress which would show my one leg and I made a horrific look. 

"I'm not going to wear it," I said. 

"But I-" I cut her off in the middle. "Please Benny, I don't wear dresses like this … revealing too much skin. So please don't force me" I requested her and she sighed. 

"Fine but you'll like this other dress" she showed me another dress and I immediately liked it. 

It was line long sleeves off shoulder dress, but the neckline covered every skin. Plus the ocean color looks really beautiful on it. So I didn't argue this time and changed into a beautiful dress.

She lent me her diamond earrings and high heels. I tried to deny it many times but she was so stubborn and I had to wear them. 

Lastly I made a French tail of my hair with few tendrils down. Benny insisted on me for makeup but I just got ready for liner and pink lipstick. 

She herself got in a pink off shoulder dress and styled her hair in open curls.

After getting ready we made our way out and saw boys were in the living room too. 

My eyes instantly locked with Blaize, he wore black tuxedo and looked really handsome. 

No, I won't be swooning over him today, I promised myself that I'll stay away from him, I need to accept the reality of our relationship so I looked around. 

"Blaize, my partner just ditched me to go to a conference with someone else, now I don't have any partner and it's important for me to go to that conference so please will you be my partner, please Blaize" Lacey said making cute faces.

"If you are forgetting, he is married so he will be going with his wife. You can go with Bryan or Adrian" Benny said and Bryan glared at her. 

"I already have a partner," Bryan and Adrian said together. 

"It's ok you can find a partner at the conference, now let's go we are getting late" Blaize said and we all made our way to limo. 

Don't they have any small cars? I sighed and sat beside Adrian this time. Lacey sat beside Blaize and happily held his hand. 

My heart felt a sharp pain just looking at her hand roaming on his lap and he didn't even once stopped her. He looked straight in my eyes but I looked outside so I won't have to see their lovey dovey act. 

There were so many cameras outside the place and it made me nervous. We walked out of the car and stood beside our partner. Lacey found a partner thankfully.

Blaize sighed and walked ahead. I followed him like a lost puppy because the cameras and Crowd of rich people are making me feel nauseous. 

Everything was going good, the presentation they showed was really good, and everyone cheered at their speech. It's like people love inferno all over the world. 

After the speech many people tried to talk to them for a deal and partnership but they talked with only a few people. They mainly talked to Mr Morris, He is from Las Vegas and has 10 Bars and casinos here. It was our plan to finalise deals with him, so we can use his experience. 

People were dancing and enjoying themselves while I stood at the corner seeing everyone.

Benny walked to me and took me where everyone was standing and talking to Mr Morris. "Here she is, Angel Blaize William" she introduced me like they were just talking about me. 

"I'm surprised to see Blaize settling down but it's good, he is lucky to have such an angelic wife" he said shaking hands with me. 

But his touch didn't feel good, it's creepy but I didn't show it on my face and politely smiled at him. 

They again merged into business talk while Benny talked to some other girls. I was feeling so out of place, I'm not used to parties, they just didn't suit me well. 

I felt eyes on me and looked around, it was Lacey. She was standing at the bar sipping her drink while giving me scary eyes and it just generates a strange fear in my heart. 

I gulped and looked around for Blaize or anyone but they all were busy talking. 

"Hey you okay? " Benny suddenly came to my side. "Yeah I'm fine, I need to go to the restroom" I told her because I don't know where it is.

She smiled and showed me the way. I walked to the restroom and breathed deeply. I need to calm myself down. 

I'm happy that everything went according to Blaize and now they all can start working on their project without any problem. 

After feeling relaxed I walked out of the restroom but suddenly I was pulled inside the room forcefully. 

I was about to scream but a hand cupped my mouth. "Shhh not a word" 

My heart dropped at the voice.
