Ceremony ~
Reception ~
Today's the day.
I gulp down the pit of nervousness and walk into the room, the cheers of girls surrounding me as I sat down.
"Aren't you excited?" Claudia exclaimed, her and her friends jumping up and down as they held a glass of champagne.
I rolled my eyes at their actions, classy
My mother came into view, also holding a glass of champagne.
"Having fun are we?" I said, and she chuckled.
I smiled as Lora came in, her kindness making my body ease.
She poured me a glass, and I took it, the sweet alcohol making its way down my throat.
"Whoa, slow down," my mother said, shaking her head in disappointment.
"Calm down, it's my wedding day."
"Surprisingly," Claudia whispered under her breath, and her friends giggled.
I sat up quickly, inching closer to her as she backed up.
But the sound of knocking made me stop, and a man came walking in.
"Good morning bride," he said, "and family," he nodded to them.
I sighed and sat back in my chair, smiling to the man as he walked in front of me.
He fluffed my hair, checking the length and adjusting my chin.
"Yes yes, perfect," he muttered to himself, going over to his bag and pulling out hair supplies.
The next hour was spent with my hair, my lungs coughing as hair spray filled the room.
Soon enough, it was finished, and my hair was brought into a updo, some pieces hanging from the side.
A clip was added to the back, and I smiled as I slightly touched it.
Another person came walking in, a bag of makeup in their hands.
Another hour was spent on my makeup, the brushes slightly tingling my face as the two of them worked around me.

"There honey, you're done," the man smiled, giving me a pat on the shoulder and handing me a hand mirror.
I almost gasped as I looked at myself, a person I didn't even recognize.
"Oh my goodness," I heard my mom say, her mouth open as she looked at me.
"You look beautiful Aliyah," Lora said, giving me a nod as she smiled.
I got up from my seat and thanked the two people on their way out, making sure they grabbed a handful of macaroons.
"Time for the dress," my mother giddied, clapping her hands together as she reached into the closet and grabbed my dress.
"Okay, everyone out," Lora said, pushing everyone out the door until I was alone.
I unzipped the bag and pulled it out, watching as the bottom fell to the floor.
I took off my clothes, throwing it in the bag I brought and going back towards the dress.
I slipped it up my body, the fabric sliding against my skin.
I put my arms through the holes and zipped up the back, walking over to the mirror in the corner and looking at myself.
I didn't even know what to think.
I looked different, but beautiful, and I slightly smiled to myself, twirling around and watching the dress trail along my feet.
I heard a knock at the door and I invited them back in, all of them changed into their dresses.
"Holy shit," one of Claudias friends Carly said.
I checked the clock and turned back to them, "we should go."
"Wait wait," my mother said, "I need a picture."
"Come on mom, we need to leave."
"Pleaseee," she said, pulling out her phone and pointing it at us.
I sighed and pulled everyone in a group, Lora on the one side and Claudia and her friends on the other, with me in the middle.

"Say wedding day!" My mother said, smiling as we all said the phrase blankly.
"Beautiful," she said, putting her phone back in her purse.
"Let's go."
We closed the door behind us and walked down the hallway, leaving the house and getting into the limo.
"Seriously," I whispered, "a limo?!"
"We need to make it seem real," Lora whispered back, and I groaned.
Claudia popped a bottle of champagne and handed everyone a glass.
I denied, for I did not want to be drunk for today.
It wasn't long before we pulled up to the spot, a forest area surrounding us as I stepped out.
Cars already filled the parking lot, and we walked into the small building that was in front of the ceremony.
"You'll walk through the doors on the other side," Lora said, and I nodded as we entered.
The nervousness started to pool in my stomach as I looked out the window.
Tons of people sat in chairs, all facing a large water fall that was falling from a cliff that was ahead.
Fuck this was beautiful
I had to admit, they did a good job for a week notice.
I haven't spotted Kye yet, and the memories of last night popped in my mind.
I haven't really had time to think about it, and the more I did, the more it confused me.
Do I like him?
No, I can't, I hate him.
I sighed, grabbing the window sill and pushing away.
I don't fucking know
But it's not my fault. He sends me mixed signals, and I couldn't imagine him liking me.
I watched as my father entered, a tuxedo fitting around his body.
"All of you look gorgeous," he smiled, turning over to me.
"Wow," he smiled, "my little girl has grown up."
I rolled my eyes, "yeah yeah."
He engulfed me in a big hug, his strong arms wrapping around me.
"You ready kid?" He said, and I nodded as I placed my arm in his.
I watched as Claudia and her friends went out, and then my mom and Lora.
I took a deep breath as we stood by the door, my other hand shaking as I closed my eyes.
"It will be okay," my dad whispered, "I promise."
I nodded and opened my eyes, taking deep breaths as my father opened the door, the sound of the water fall filling my ears as I stepped forward.
I closed my eyes again for a second, and when I opened them all eyes were on me, but I felt one pair burn into my skin.
And when I took my gaze off all the people that stood for me, my eyes found Kye's, and it felt like his gaze burned through my soul, burning me with every step I took, and every breath that hitched as I walked towards him.
