Emerson, for Henry, wasn't just a girl, for him she was an angel, sent by Gabriella.

And so when Emerson said she loves his Grandson, his belief strengthened.

The girl loved his arrogant grandson despite his occasional egoistic behavior.

And so now, he knew he didn't do anything wrong by marrying the both, and he didn't regret the decision. But he probably would if Adrien didn't improve his behavior.

"You should freshen up Grandpa. I too need to. We will have breakfast then." She said and left his room after he agreed in daze, still processing the information.

Emerson went inside the room where she slept with Adrien and noticed he was fumbling with something with his back to her.

"Adrien? " She called him.

Adrien jumped in his place, startled and turned to her, hiding something behind his back.

"W-what? When did you come? " He asked wide eyed.

Emerson frowned.

"Why are you acting weird? And what are you hiding? " She asked him.

He chuckled nervously and rubbed the back of his neck.

"No, what would I hide. Nothing. Hehe." He muttered.

Emerson narrowed her eyes at him.

If he was going to walk on eggshells around her just because he knew a fragment of her past, she wasn't taking it.

"Adrien let me see what are you hiding." She said more firmly.

Adrien chuckled nervously again. He was scared for her reaction, but he also didn't want to miss the chance.

He had planned it long before he came to London.

He bit his lip and forwarded his hand in front of himself with a velvet box in it.

"I brought a birthday gift for you, before coming to London. I wanted to give it to you yesterday, but things turned out wrong long before it." He muttered.

"You didn't have to Adrien. You came here, just so I won't be alone was much for me." She said.

Adrien shook his head.

He nodded at the box.

"Take this." He said.

Emerson softly took the box from his hand and opened it.

Her breath got stuck in her throat.

She looked up at Adrien with a stunned expression.

"Adrien? " She whispered softly.

Adrien stepped closer to her and kissed her forehead, and she closed her eyes, leaning into his touch.

"I wish I could buy something as beautiful as you, but nothing compared, so I thought of stealing your idea." He murmured when he pulled back.

He took the box from her hands, and pulling out the platinum band studded with small diamonds , he slipped it on her finger which already held the gold band from their wedding.

The ring had her name inside it in perfect cursive, which hand delicate design on it which met at the other end to form a heart.

"It's beautiful, but you didn't have to." Emerson said looking at him with soft eyes.

Adrien shook his head.

"How can I not when you are one of the best things that happened to me in my life? " He asked her softly.

It felt like they created a bubble around themselves.

Adrien looked down from her soft brown to eyes to her soft, pink lips which looked cotton candy soft.

He slowly leaned towards her, and she closed her eyes.

His lips were about to brush hers when a gasp startled them.

They both looked wide eyed at Eliza who looked like dear caught in headlights.

"I am so sorry I didn't know you would be doing something. I thought Emerson was still asleep." She said sheepishly.

Emerson turned 100 shades of red and Adrien groaned, pulling Emerson close to him making her burry her face in his chest in embarrassment.

"Continue, I don't mind Grandchildren." Eliza said and winked.

Adrien groaned loudly .

"Mom! "

Emerson pushed her head more in his chest.

Eliza left them laughing loudly.

"But come for breakfast soon." She yelled when she was out of their sight.

After a few minutes of silence even Adrien chuckled making Emerson slap his chest lightly, groaning in embarrassment.

"That was so embarrassing, your mom caught us almost kissing." She whisper yelled.

Adrien laughed more.

"They have to get used to it now, specially when I am not going to stop now." He whispered huskily making Emerson stumble on her words and blush more.

When Adrien sobered up, he leaned forward again, cupping her face and pecked her lips lightly.

When he pulled back, Emerson smiled shyly making him almost coo.

"Be lated happy birthday Emerson. Today we are going to celebrate you birthday how I planned when for you when I came here." He murmured.

She gave him a smile but not a second later it dropped making Adrien frown.

"You don't want to? We can do something else which you will like then." He said thinking it must be because of that.

But Emerson shook her head.

"Adrien, I would love to see what you had planned, but you have to go to police station today, and probably Michael's lawyer will contact you today." She reminded.

Adrien groaned.

"Piece of shit." He muttered under his breath.

Emerson rolled her eyes.

"It's an open shut case Adrien. You will have to pay for common assault, and to bail yourself out. We just need to now wait for the dates. You can't do anything else. Specially when it showed he didn't raise his hand first, but you did. And we are in a different country without democracy. So let see what happens. But I still hope Michael drops the case." She sighed.

"I am sorry Emerson, I didn't mean to trouble you. But I am saying again am not sorry for beating him. Filthy piece of shit. That idiot probably went away with cheating on you, but he won't go away with saying what he did. He is going to regret messing with my wife." He mumbled the latest part to himself .

"What was that? " Emerson asked frowning.

Adrien shook his head.

"Nothing. We are going to continue our day as I planned. We will ee what to do when his lawyer contacts us. For now, let's freshen up and go down for breakfast." He said.

Emerson nodded.

They freshened up and went downstairs, to see Adrien's parents, Henry and Rose were sitting at the table waiting for them.

"Thank god you came, I thought I would see you directly when you are pregnant." Rose sarcastically muttered, looking cranky.

Emerson turned red again along with Adrien. But the idea didn't sound bad to him.

Not the time Adrien.

Henry chuckled.

"Let them be Rose." He said, looking fresh as ever after his talk with Emerson.

Rose didn't reply to him, like he wasn't there making Henry sigh.

Emerson understood that Rose was giving him silent treatment, which was worst than her scolding.

Adrien pulled out a chair for Emerson for which he thanked him and they both settled.

Suddenly Eliza gasped again.

"Oh my god Emerson, it's so beautiful!" She gushed looking at Emerson's hand.

Emerson blushed.

"Thank you Mrs Stone, Adrien gifted it to me." She said politely, smiling softly.

Eliza awed.

"I didn't know my boy had such a good choice."

"Let me see." Rose said and forwarded her hand, asking Emerson to keep the ring in it.

Emerson did.

Rose studied the ring and the suddenly narrowed her eyes at Adrien making sweat beads form on his forehead.

"If it wasn't sure, it is now that you are definitely that dumb head —" She nodded towards Henry —"'s grandson . " She deadpanned.

Adrien rubbed the back of his neck nervously wondering what she meant.

Henry was no surprised she insulted him.

Nathan and Eliza were still shocked by how she behaved with him.

"Wh-why do you say so? " He asked, chuckling nervously.

"Emerson definitely gave you a special ring on your wedding, didn't she? And you copied her idea." She said flatly.

Adrien sulked. The old lady was hard to please.

Rose gave the ring back to Emerson and she wore it.

"Don't pout like a duck now. Let's eat I am starving." She declared and started eating.

Emerson stifled a laugh on Adrien's dumbfounded face which made Adrien give her a dirty look.

They all started breakfast with light chat and subtle teasing, no one mentioning the events of the previous day.
