Turning around I saw a large male figure in front of me and by the looks of it, the figure was reaching about six feet and probably ten inches bigger than an average lycan. The male was covered in muscles and tattoos from what I could see from behind. Attached to his back was a pair of large black wings making him look like an ethereal dark angel. Right as he was about to turn around to face me I sank into the darkness.

Startled awake from my unusual dream I stood up from my bed, going to the bathroom to splash some water on my face.

"What the fuck just happened" I muttered under my breath.

Scratching the wrist where my new tattoo was I walked back out to my bedroom to have a small breakfast in my room. Making sure to hide my tattoo from everyone, I wore a long-sleeved crop top with some sweatpants and sneakers. To get my mind off my weird dream I got my backpack ready for the long journey ahead of us and at nine I headed down to the lobby to meet everyone. Still mad at Sin for keeping secrets from me, I decided to be a petty bitch and give him the silent treatment for however long I pleased. When I got down there Rissa and Leo were already there and Adonis and Sinclair were nowhere in sight. I walked over to them and gave them each a hug for greeting.

"God I am so fucking bitter right now, Nellie," Rissa said to me while we waited.

Confused, I asked, "Why?"

"Well, I don't know, maybe because we are in Greece and instead of exploring, we're stuck trekking in the forest for some stupid prophet," she said pouting.

"Um maybe because the world may potentially be ending."

"God, you have no idea what it was like with her complaining about this the entire night" Leo groaned.

"Well you didn't complain after what I did for you last night," Rissa said winking at Leo.

Heat crawled up Leo's neck as I replied back to her comment in disgust "Ew what the fuck, Rissa."

Rolling her eyes at me, the two mates continued to make googly eyes at each other while I had to stand there awkwardly with them.

Xavier came walking down giving me a hug and whispering in my ear "Stay safe, Ana."

Nodding I hugged him back tightly before giving him a peck on the cheek. Everyone but Xavier would be going in case something happens in the forest we always have a backup. If we weren't back in a month then Xavier would inform the packs to come and find us. Giving me a kiss on the forehead, Xavier walked back up to his room to get more rest. Easily able to spot them due to their unusual height and size within humans, I was able to spot the two brothers walking towards us. Thank fuck, I didn't want to continue standing here as Leo and Rissa eye-raping each other in the middle of the lobby.

"The van is here to drop us off at the east edge of the Steni Forest," Adonis said, breaking the mates out of each other's gaze.

As we started to walk out of the hotel, Sin grabbed my arm from behind me.

"Sweetheart please talk to me."

Ignoring him, I pulled my arm away from his grip and got inside the van. Pushing Leo out of the way I stole his seat next to Rissa ensuring that I didn't end up sitting next to Sin.

"What the hell, Ana," Leo said annoyed.

"Find another seat I'm sitting with Rissa," I said putting my arm through Rissa's.

"Oh my god I am so flattered that you two are fighting over me," Rissa said dreamily.

Both Leo and Rissa rolled our eyes at Rissa's antics while Sinclair came to the back of the van. Only to see me already sitting next to Rissa he rolled his eyes at me and went to the front to sit next to Adonis who was driving. Rissa looked at me with a confused face at what just happened with Sin and me.

Mouthing to her I said, "Later."

She nodded and looked back forward as Leo finally took his seat in the middle of the van. The next three hours we were all in silence as we rode into the forest. I fell asleep on Rissa's shoulder as she put her head on the window sleeping. Once we got to the edge of the forest we got out of the van that Adonis parked in the middle of nowhere. We were going to ditch the van to go on our long trip in the forest. When we were all out of the van with our backpacks strapped onto our backs we rounded up.

"So how are we going to find her?" Leo asked.

"We just have to follow this map to her cave," Adonis said to us.

"Lead the way then," I said to him.

Rissa and I lagged in the back because she was still curious about what was happening with Sinclair and me.

"Why aren't you two talking to each other?" she finally asked me.

"He's lying to me and I am so sick of being someone to always look over. Sin said that he wanted to keep me safe but I think that's bullshit" I said mad.

Before Rissa could answer Adonis did for her "You know we can all hear you."

Looking over to Sin who looked pissed and walked angrily over to me.

He took my face into his hands bringing me close, he said "Believe me when I say this, you don't fucking want to know the secret I am keeping. You don't think I noticed you when we first met but I did. Although you hid it well I could see your sadness and if you find out the truth it would completely shatter you."

"Sin—"

"No Ana, you push people away that genuinely care about you."

Saying that Sin took off his clothes and changed into his lycan form running forward. The rest of us awkwardly stand there confused about what we should do next. Needing to apologize to Sin, I changed into my wolf to follow him. Not hearing the others behind me, I assumed they wanted to give us some privacy to talk. Sinclair must have heard me running after him because he had waited for me to catch up. He tilted his lycan head to indicate to me to follow him. We walked over into a little clearing where we changed back into our human form and put on the clothes that we had carried with us in our mouths.

"Sin I'm sorry, I'm not used to people caring about me. The people I let in usually let me down or betrayed me."

"Ana not everyone is like your ex-mate. How could you even compare me to him?" Sin asked, disgusted.

I looked down embarrassed that I had unknowingly put Sin in the same category as my bastard ex-mate. Sin has been nothing but kind and genuine with me when Axel had treated me like a side-piece he could have whenever he wanted.

"I didn't mean to compare you to Axel. I think I just rather not trust and instead be alone, not afraid of people betraying me."

"You can't stop every relationship you have because of your trust issues. One day you're going to have to let more people in" Sin replied calming down.

Feeling brave I walked over to where Sin was sitting and sat right down in his lap.

Moving my head down towards his ear I whispered "Am I forgiven for being stupid?"

Dragging his lips down my neck then back to my ear he replied "I can be persuaded, sweetheart."

Sinclair turned my face towards him and put his lips on mine. Pushing him against the tree behind him, I took dominance of the kiss. I moved my hands down his abs as he pulled me closer into him.

"Sin" I moaned into his mouth.

"Should I fuck you here in the middle of the woods for our first time together? I bet if I were to put my hand down your pants and touch you would already be wet. Would I be right, sweetheart?"

"Mmhm" I replied as he moved his hand underneath my top to knead my breast.

"Now Analise should I check how wet you are?" Sin asked me as I grinded myself against his hips.

Before I could give him a nod we were interrupted by the group walking into us basically dry-humping each other.

"What the fuck did we just walk into?" Adonis said turning around.

Sin and I got up from our position on the ground and dusted ourselves off. I pulled my fingers through my hair to remove the tangles from it as Sin did the same.

"You could have waited at least an hour for us," I said annoyed about how turned on I am.

"Oh, sweetheart who do you think I am? I need more than an hour to ravish that beautiful body of yours" Sin said.

"Ok that's enough, we don't need to be hearing this" Rissa said covering her ears.

"You bitch I can't believe you. Weren't you and Leo basically fucking each other with your eyes in the lobby of the hotel" I replied back to her?

She stuck her tongue out at me as I did the same back to her.

"Ok girls we don't need your childish—"

Before Leo could continue we heard a loud roar coming from within the forest. Immediately I went to my bag to take out a sword before putting the bag on my bag. Looking around I saw that everyone had their choice of weapon in their hand ready for a fight.

"So what do you think, run or fight?" Rissa asked.

Just as I was about to answer her, we heard another loud roar and came upon an ugly beast as big as the trees.

"RISSA SPELL NOW!" Sin screamed.

"Oh ok so fight" she replied.

"RISSA!"

"Ok. Ok. Ignis" she said with the beast going on fire but doing no harm.

"Oh well this is just fucking great, it's stupid ass is fireproof," Rissa said mainly talking to herself.

"Occiditis bestia" Rissa chanted trying again.

Still, nothing hurting the beast came hurtling to us as Rissa screamed "My spells aren't working against it."

Fuck this. I took my sword and ran towards the beast in full force. I swung at it, driving the edge of my blade right through his leg to cut it. Instead of hurting him, the beast's leg disappeared in smoke and then reappeared in perfect shape.

"Well fuck" I said to myself.

"ANA RUN!" Adonis screamed from behind me.

I turned and ran along with the rest of the group away from the beast. Thundering footsteps behind, I knew that the beast was still coming after us.

"It is a tenbris creature, made of darkness. It is supposed to be a mythological creature only in stories but I guess it's real. Only a light spell can maim it" Adonis said as we ran.

We continued to run as Rissa aimed her spell towards the beast, "auferat eum lux."

Letting out a horrible scream, it collapsed onto the ground in front of us. Before it could disappear into the air, it said "Well wolves you passed my first test. You have three more to complete before I, the greatest Abia will appear to you."

"The greatest Abia, narcissistic much" Leo muttered.

Great not only do we have random black smoke killing people now we have some prophet who wants to have a savior complex.

I replied, "Whatever, let's do what she says and find the bitch."
