The next morning I was still fantasizing over the kiss I had with Arius the night before. I walked into the dining room and saw that everyone already had been seated with their breakfast. My eyes landed on Arius, immediately blushing, and turned my head away from his heated gaze. Taking my seat next to Arius, I filled my plate with a variety of fruits to look up to both Leo and Rissa smirking at me knowingly. Putting an apple in my mouth, I rolled my eyes at them, turning my attention to my food.
Looking to Arius, who already had his eyes on me, I raised my brow in question. He replied with a mischievous look, turning towards Akoni.
"Clear my schedule for today, Akoni. I am spending the day with my mate, " Arius said.
Choking on a piece of fruit, I fell into a fit of coughs until I looked over to Arius saying, "You don't have to."
"I know but I want to, amare," he said to me, putting his hand on mine.
Smiling at his comment, Arius lazily rubbed circles on my hand.
"I will push all your meetings tomorrow for you to finish, brother," Akoni says.
Arius thanks him as all of us finish our dinner at the dining table. Once I was done eating, Arius took my hand, causing sparks from where we touched. He leads me to the other side of the castle, towards his own room. His room was decorated with black and a deep red color to show off the room as very sophisticated. It was very well fitted for the demon king and ruler of the underworld. In all honesty, I wouldn't mind stealing his room to be my own.
Entering, I asked, "What are we doing here?"

From behind me, Arius leaned in towards my neck, placing soft butterfly kisses on it.
"Why, little mate? Afraid to be all alone in a room with me?" he whispered seductively in my ear.
Yes, yes, I am.
"Nope, not at all," I replied.
"Funny, because I can hear your fast heartbeats."
Turning towards him, my lips barely brushing against his as I said, "Must be your imagination."
"Must be," he said.
Staying in our close position for a while before I moved my head away from his to get back to my earlier question.
"So why are we here, Arius?"
Replying, he said, "As much as I would like to throw you onto my bed and fuck you, my room leads to a private room that nobody but me can enter. I saved the room to show it to my mate one day. "
Blushing at his previous statement, I said, "What kind of room is it?"
Wrapping his arm around my waist bringing me closer to his body, he said "I guess you'll just have to wait and see.
We walked to the window side of the room to a bookshelf where Arius pulled out one book, a trick key to open the secret door on the other side of his room. Walking through the door, it automatically closed behind us as we descended a spiral of staircases. Walking a bit faster, I grabbed onto Arius's hand for comfort as we walked down. He stopped and looked down at our hands before pulling my hand to his mouth, placing a feather-like kiss on it. Continuing down, we finally reached the bottom to another door that needed a password and retina scan of Arius.
Before he opened the door, he turned to me in all seriousness and said, "What you see beyond this door cannot be repeated to anyone, my darling."

"Not even Akoni knows of the secret both my sister and I have kept for eons, only our respected mates will know of it."
Nodding, he turned back to open the door for the two of us to enter. When I went through, I saw a full armory and secret training area. Looking to the side, I saw ancient-looking bowls lined up against the wall.
"I don't understand, Arius. It's just a training ground," I said to him.
I was answered with silence and right as I was about to turn to ask him my question again, a ball of fire zoomed past me. Hitting the other side of the wall, I turned around to see a ball of fire in his hand.
"What the fuck?" I screamed.
Saying nothing, the shadows that usually followed him around came alive and surrounded me. When I looked at Arius, I realized that it was him controlling the shadows.
"Ana, Abia and I were born from Gaea; she gifted both Abia and me with powers. Abia with her visions of the future and me with fire and shadow. When the two of us find our mates, they will share the same powers as us, like when you take immortality from when you mate a lycan."
"So, not only will I become a beast, but a beast with fire powers?" I asked hesitantly.
"Yeah."
"Wonderful."
Arius continued, pointing towards the training arena "This is where you will learn how to control your powers because, in the beginning, your emotions are what controls it. If you have a strong particular feeling, you might not be able to control it and hurt someone."
Sitting down on the ground, Arius walked over towards me as he sat next to me and pulled me into his lap.
Pulling my face towards him, he said, "You'll be okay, I'll be here the entire time."
Pushing my face towards him, I put my lips onto him to give him a kiss. Arius deepened the kiss, reassuring me of all my worries with the comfort of just feeling him.
Pulling away he said, "It's you and me, baby."
"You and me" I whispered back to him.
Standing up, Arius helped me up from the ground and walked over to one of the cabinets in the room. Opening one of the drawers, he pulled out a beautiful necklace and put it around the neck once he got back to me.
"When you come into your powers, this will help you stabilize them and help you keep control of it."
"Thank you, Arius."
Thinking for a while, I asked Arius, "Is this what you wanted to tell me in the garden yesterday."
Arius nodded, confirming my thoughts as he went to go close the drawer.
"Huh, there comes a lot to be your mate," I said to him.
Raising his brow, he said, "Hope the pros outweigh the cons."
Smirking, I replied, "Oh, they definitely do."
