Over the next two weeks, I got into a daily routine in Arius's kingdom. I would spend my days exploring, spending time with the others, and training. Although Arius lived in the palace, we have had little time to see each other due to his duties. He also has been busy with the living coming in as the dead. The new herd was causing some problems, so he went there to get everything under control.

Today was the day Arius was coming back from Eboracum, the entrance of the dead, where the dead enter his kingdom. I woke up with a smile on my face as I spent the rest of the day awaiting his arrival that night. Once nightfall came, I ran down the stairs to see his large figure standing next to Akoni; I rushed over to him and jumped into his arms. Arius immediately turned around and caught me into him as I wrapped my legs around his waist.

"Hello, my darling mate. Did you miss me?" he asked as he walked towards his room with me in his arms, leaving Akoni behind.

"Uh Huh," I mumbled into his shoulder.

He laughed and asked, "What happened to the fierce Beta Kade?"

"She's still here, but she missed her mate."

"I missed you too, amare," he replied, pressing his lips to my forehead.

Once we reached his room, he placed me on the bed before walking over to his closet. Arius quickly changed and then laid next to me on the bed. He turned to look at me as he brushed the hair out of my face.

"My beautiful girl," Arius whispered.

I smiled and moved closer to him while he pulled me closer to his chest. Arius moved his head down to capture my lips, to kiss me. I kissed him back as we passionately embraced each other as his lips moved against mine.

Breaking the kiss, Arius asked, "Will go out with me tomorrow?"

"What?" I asked in question.

"We haven't got much time to spend together after I had to leave for Eboracum so I was wondering if we could spend the day together," he replied.

"What will we be doing?" I asked him.

"I guess you'll have to find out, mate."

"Well, then I accept," I said.

"Good, but either way, I was going to take you on that. I'm glad you chose to willingly accept."

I rolled my eyes at him as Arius said, "What do you think I'm joking about?"

"No, I know you never say things you don't mean."

"Shush now, it's time for you to sleep, amare. We have a long day tomorrow," he said.

I closed my eyes and soon enough the darkness overtook me as I silently fell asleep against Arius's body.

The next morning, I was all dressed up in a sweater dress and some short boots. Arius said to me that I should dress warmly for where we were going. Waiting on the palace stairs, I looked towards the entrance for Arius to appear. After standing there for about five minutes, my mate appeared wearing some black jeans paired with a black button-up. In Arius style, the top buttons of his shirt were unbuttoned, making him look sexy as hell.

I didn't realize that I had been staring until Arius asked me "Are you ok, amare."

"Yep, Yep, I'm fine. Let's get a move on now," I replied to him in a hurry.

Turning around, I tried to escape from his sight, but I was quickly pulled back into his arms and picked me up, bridal style.

A woman came out of the palace with a picnic basket in her hand.

"Your Highness, the basket you requested," she said.

"Ah yes. Thank you Maribel" Arius said.

He took the picnic basket from her hand, still carrying me in his arms.

Squirming with his hands around me, I said "Arius put me down."

"Darling, our destination is not on the ground," he replied.

But before I could reply, Arius flew up into the sky, holding onto me. When I thought he was going to fly forward, he continued to go directly up.

"Arius, where are we going?" I asked.

Not replying to me, he continued to fly and stopped once we were over a cloud.

"You wanted to know where we were going, well we're here."

And with that, my horrible mate dropped me.

"I am going to fucking kill you, Arius," I said, screaming as I fell from the sky.

Arius did nothing but laugh from above and soon enough I hit a soft landing on something. When I looked down below, I realized that I had landed on top of a cloud. Flying down to meet me, Arius set the picnic basket on the cloud before sitting down himself.

"How is this possible?" I asked.

"When you are a god, anything is possible," Arius said with a wink.

Opening the basket, Arius started to take out my favorite breakfast foods.

Once our feast was laid out in front of us, Arius asked me "Is this to your pleasure, my princess."

Moving from my seat, I climbed onto his lap and replied, "Yes it is kind sir."

Arius picked up a chocolate-covered strawberry and put it into my mouth. I opened my mouth, keeping my eyes on my mate as I bit the strawberry, making Arius's eyes darkened.

"Keep doing that, amare, and maybe I will lose all my control," he said gruffly.

Whispering seductively, I said, "Then lose control."

Arius's eyes now going mad between both red and blue, he growled "Eat your food mate."

Biting my lip, I picked up the chocolate croissant and ate it. The two of us continued to eat in silence as we just looked at each other in heat.

"I have to ask, what will we be doing about Sin?" I asked him.

Throwing his plate to the side, Arius pushed me back and got on top of me.

"Do not speak another male's name, especially his, while we are here together," he said.

Wanting to push him, I said, "Why? Are you jealous because Sin got to hold me, kiss me, and touch me?"

I knew that Arius lost all control of himself, "You are MINE. No one else's."

Lifting myself up a little, I got right into Arius's face and said "Then fucking show me."

Arius smirked darkly and asked, "You want me to put my hand down to your pussy and find out how wet you really are for me."

Pulling my dress, he put his hand on me over my underwear as he began to stroke me gently.

I moaned out and answered his breathy "Please."

Arius ripped off my underwear as I thanked the gods that I had shaved myself the day before.
