Darkness exploded around us as Arius pinned Adonis to the wall with his power. Walking over to Adonis, Arius grabbed his face and made him look directly at him.

Arius laughed darkly before saying, "Well, well, if it isn't Sinclair's little puppet. Aren't you a little too far from your master?"

"Fuck you," Adonis groaned in pain.

"No, thank you. I've got a beautiful mate for that."

Adonis acknowledged my existence behind Arius, passing his crying sister.

He looked up at the tiara resting on my head when he finally said, "I guess a lot has changed in the past few months. The crown suits you, Ana."

Before I could reply, black smoke choked Adonis as Arius said, "Do not speak to her, you are not worthy of her time."

"So is Sin lurking around here?" Akoni asked.

Arius let go of his hold enough for Adonis to reply, "No, it's just me."

"Good enough for me. What do you say, Akoni, wanna have some fun with the mutt?" Arius asked, viciously.

"Ok course, brother."

"Enough, boys," I said, disrupting their cruel plans for Adonis "We still need him."

"What in god's hell would we need him for, amare?" Arius asked.

"Obviously he didn't stray far from home and into your laps for nothing, and I want to know what. So now please let him go, Ari," I replied.

"Ask him whatever you want, but I'm not letting him go," Arius said.

Pouting, I said "Please."

My mate looked at me and I could see his walls falling at the puppy-eyed look I gave him. Being stubborn, he nodded no.

Going over to him, I wrapped my arms around his neck and said, "I'll give you extra kisses if you let him go."

Arius's eyes lighted up before saying "Fine."

Arius's power disappeared, leaving Adonis on the floor gasping for air. Bending down, I offered my hand out to help him up. Once he stood up, I grabbed his throat and slammed him against the wall again.

"I've heard many stories about you from Allegra. How you stood there silently as your brother ridiculed your sister calling her a slut, worthless, and many more horrible words that couldn't even be close to who Allegra is. If you do anything to hurt her, I'll break you and then I'll pass you over to her mate for him to finish you off. Am I understood?" I said, quietly.

"Yes," Adonis croaked.

"Use your big boy voice, Adonis," I said.

"Yes," he said louder.

Letting go of his throat, I let him fall to the floor, but this time I didn't offer him a hand. Walking over to Allegra, I sat down on the floor and gave her a hug.

"Do not let him have any power over you. He doesn't deserve it," I whispered as I wiped her tears away.

She gave me a small smile as I helped her up from the floor before walking over to Adonis and slapping him right across the face. Akoni put a hand over his mouth to conceal his laughter behind it. Of course, my mate did not have the same decency as his friend.

"Holy fuck, Legra, do it again," Arius said, dying of laughter.

I rolled my eyes at his behavior as I walked over to him and grabbed him by his ear.

I brought Arius down to my height and said "Stop laughing, stupid."

"Ok, ok, ow," Arius said.

I let go of him and without turning around I said "You too, Akoni."

Akoni went into a fit of coughs before saying "Yes ma'am."

"Join us for dinner and you can tell us why you're here," I said to Adonis.

He nodded before following us to the dining room. I noticed that he was looking around as he walked, taking in the grand castle of the underworld and its beauty.

Allegra and Arius trailed behind us as my mate asked her, "One word and he's gone, Legra, your choice."

"Thanks, Ari," she replied before giving him a quick peck on the cheek and walking over to her mate.

Once we reached the dining hall, our food was already placed on the table as we took our seats. Arius pulled mine out and pushed it back in once I was seated in the chair. Taking his seat, he took my plate before cutting up my meat. When I looked up to Adonis, he was looking at Arius as if he was an alien.

"Baby-" Arius said.

I turned to him and opened my mouth as he offered me my first bite, then handed me the fork.

"Thank you," I said to Arius.

He nodded to me before moving his attention over to Adonis.

"So tell us, why are you here?" Arius asked him.

"As you know, Sin has always hated you, Arius, but it wasn't just hatred he had for you. Sinclair developed an obsession with you and your power over the past few decades. Fantasizing over killing you, taking your power, taking everything that you love," Adonis said.

Continuing, he said, "He's my brother and I'll always love him, but when he came up with his next plan, I knew that I had to get out of there because it would hurt my twin."

"And what will that plan be?" Arius asked, taking a sip of his wine.

"Hurt Ana."

Arius abruptly stood up from his seat at the table, eyes red and wings out.

"He dares come for her. I'll fucking kill him, I'll rip his goddamn heart out of his fucking body," he said.

"Sin isn't all stupid. He has people on the inside to help him," Adonis said.

"Who?" I asked, even though I'm positive that I already know.

"Karisa and Leo."

"I'll kill them," Arius said, moving to go and find them.

Standing up from my seat, I put a hand on his arm and said, "Sit, Ari."

He looked at me for a second as he calculated what I was going to do next. I raised an eyebrow at him and he gave me a smirk back.

"As you wish, my queen," Arius replied.

Once Arius sat back in his chair, I looked back to Adonis and said, "You'll go back home, Adonis. Rissa and Leo are on an outing out of the palace for the next week, so you can stay a few days before you go back. Ari, baby, you'll not kill them yet. They have to think that everything is normal for the time being."

"I can't just go back. I left and if I come back, Sin will just kill me himself," Adonis replied.

"Not if you say that you want to go look for something that will make him very happy. When you show Sinclair your little present, he'll forget all about his anger," I said.

"What are you planning, little mate?" Arius asked.

Looking at him I said, "Something that he'll never see coming."

"What exactly am I bringing back to Sin, Ana?" Adonis asked.

Giving him a smirk, I said, "Me."
