In the morning Eva woke up to the sun shining in her face and the sound of the crashing ocean waves and sea gulls close by. She blinked as her eyes adjusted to the light and she saw Paulo's face right next to hers, and she became aware of their naked bodies tangled together. Looking at his perfect, handsome face in broad daylight made her smile and she laid there and thought about how amazing last night was. "Good morning beautiful," he said in a gravelly morning voice, groaning with a stretch before leaning in and pressing his lips softly to hers.

They both gradually pulled apart, peeling their skin away from each other as they sat up with him standing and stretching out his arms above his head. She stood up too and stretched for a second and then he walked over and slipped his hand into hers, kissing the side of her head before leading the way back up the trail towards the house. 

"I need coffee and a shower," he said.

 "Me too," she sighed. "Coffee sounds great. I didn't get much sleep last night thanks to you," she laughed, giving him the side eye with a smile. 

"Hey it's our honeymoon. Who cares about sleep?" he asked, looking down at her naked body and raising an eyebrow with a smile. "Speaking of which. I hope you know after we have our coffee and brush our teeth you're coming into the shower with me."

"Oh am I?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at him. "Who says?" 

"Me," he said with a smile, leaning down and kissing the crook of her neck making a shiver run across her spine. 

"How could I say no to that?" she asked, shooting him another flirty smile. It was so weird to her that they were walking completely naked together as if that was normal. She had never been comfortable with her body and showing a lot of skin but for some reason she didn't feel self conscious about it with him. She felt so comfortable with him now that she didn't mind being naked in front of him any more. She never thought that would happen with anyone.

First they headed into the bathroom where they both brushed their teeth, giving each other a side eye and a smile now and then and then they went to the kitchen. He started making the coffee and she got out some fruit and yogurt and started making a bowl for each of them. She didn't feel like having anything heavy. 

"I'm going to go get dressed," she said when she was done, as she watched him pouring two cups of steaming coffee into mugs.

"Why?" he asked, setting the pot back into the machine, turning to her and looking her up and down. "I like you like this," he said stepping towards her. 

That made her insides flutter and she gave him a shy smile and said, "Ummmm. I guess I could stay like this a little bit longer. I mean there's nobody on this island but us."

"Exactly," he said, resting his hands on her hips and leaning in, kissing her shoulder lightly and working his way across it, kissing the curve where her shoulder meets her neck and then up the side of her neck. She had been so worried that he wasn't really committed to this marriage and that he would be seeing other women on the side, so hearing him promise to be faithful made her heart swell. 

That moment was the turning point for her. She had been so worried about never knowing what true love felt like but now she knew. It felt like your heart was walking around outside of your body because another person had it. You would do anything and everything to make them happy because when they're happy you're happy. You would risk your life to save theirs and you would move mountains to be with them. 

She was in love.
