As Seth walked away from Alina's room he couldn't help but feel mixed emotions.

'She seems to have really changed, but why?'

He could not understand the complete change in Alina. She had always been spiteful when it came to her family, even til this moment he could not understand why she had hated them all so much.

He, just like her did not remember his mother or get affectionate love from their father. He could not understand her hate, but he himself could never come to fully hate her. He felt disgusted with her when he watched her hateful behavior, but the warmth she just showed and the affection he felt made his heart waver.

'She was....warm.'

He couldn't get rid of the lingering warmth she left in his heart and his head, as he left to join the family in the dinning hall.

After dying of embarrassment after Seth left, I pulled myself together to go and check Dr. Richard making my medicine. While walking there I started to think of ways to get involved with Odin and maybe help him develop the cure faster.

'He is helping commoners without letting them pay, so he must be tight on money and a suitable place.' I could help him get money and a place to conduct research, but the question was whether he would accept it or not. He refused to be monopolized by the royals or nobles, of course I'm not trying to. I just need the cure he develops before its too late.

'I could hire him to treat the orphans, while giving him one of the rooms as a lab.' I thought of a suitable excuse to have him close and possibly help him develop the cure faster.

'I know I won't be married off while known to have Frigor Rubens, but after the cure has come out the duke might force me to marry for political reasons or to just get rid of me.' I had to think of a way to live a leisure life without being forced to marry.

'I could create a fake identity of a lower noble and 'marry' him but in reality live alone away from the main characters to secure my peaceful life.' I began to work out plans for my future to live a peaceful life but my thoughts came to a halt as I arrived at Dr. Richards lab.

-knock-knock-

'sheesh, this body is so weak.' I knocked lightly on the large door, but my knuckles turned red just from knocking.

"Come in." Dr. Richard called me in. I opened the door to his response, but as I looked at him he looked at me with a darkened face.

"Young miss, I could have brought it to you." Dr. Richard complained at me coming all this way but I didn't mind.

"I wanted to so there is no need to make a fuss. I assume your done, if you are you can rest. You've worked hard for me and I appreciate it." I wanted to personally pick it up so he could rest, he did work hard for me and listened to my absurd request that could be taken as insubordination.

"Miss don't do this in the future, you are the one in bad health." he continued to nag me but I didn't mind, he had good intentions. I didn't refute him as I knew he wouldn't back down, so I gave in.

"Alright, Alright. Do I have to take a lot of medicines?" I was curious about the medicine he would give me.

He handed me a large bottle of pills while letting me look at them for a while before explaining how and when I should them.

"Two pills after every meal, but remember that these cannot take away your symptoms but only help your body's constitution." He explained thoroughly.

"Thank you, truly." I couldn't help but feel warm with how sincere he was. All my life I never had sincerity with anything, but I was especially felt grateful for him as he took care of me without bias even while knowing full well how horrible the original Alina acted.

"There is no need to thank me." he was still humble.

"I have to join my family to dine for dinner, I will see you another time." I said my goodbyes to not be too late to dinner.

I left the lab and made my way to the dinning room. I ran into Chrysta while heading to the dinning room so I handed her the pills and explained the instructions of the medicine.

'I cannot trust her yet, she is a smart one but she may be too smart for her own good.' I was in a position to suspect those around me as I had a lot enemies and wouldn't know if one would decide to target me.

Chrysta was a clever maid and never showed reluctance to not be able to gather information when sent away, but what caught my eye was how she quickly grew comfortable and brave against me.

Alina was a terrifying force to be reckoned with if you were a maid or in a lowly position. When on one of her fits she could ruin a maid and feel no remorse.

So, this meant she was very recently new, or her meekness was an act and she is sent by someone where she had no need to be scared. I couldn't know who that 'someone' was, but I wasn't going to take any chances with my life on the line.
