《Ravenwolf's Rose》This Lingering Hot Kiss

That was probably the best sleep I have had in a while... it felt like I was floating on a cloud in the middle of the ocean...
When I turned to my side, thinking that this restful night would never end, I nearly whipped myself off of the bed into another dimension. I rubbed my back after falling onto the ground and then crept over to peek over at the person who was lying next to me on the bed.. Kai?!
What have I done?...
I held my chest a little in agony...
In-between my heart racing and my palms becoming clammier I felt my head spin ever so slightly... when my cheeks flushed I crawled over to my suitcase to grab some clothes. I carefully escaped from my bedroom wondering what I was suppose to do next?
I needed to clear my head...
After getting dressed in the bathroom I took a walk on the beach.
So what if he was next to you, Hazel? I slapped the sides of my cheeks gently.
"Focus... he's just a guy you've been living with... just a guy... you've been living with..."
I wasn't sure how far I strayed away from the vacation home but when it suddenly dawned on me that our relationship was getting a lot more complicated it made my heart flutter even more. And it made me think about all of the times we spent together.
I sat down abruptly on the sand and stared out at the ocean. I listened to the gentle swaying of the palm trees and waves.
What was I going to do?
"Hey babe! Are you lost?" I turned to looked up at 3 men who were walking closer to me. I sighed and looked away.
"Need any help?" another one asked and I shook my head. I dusted the sand off of my hands and started walking away but they followed after me.
"Hey! We just wanna talk," I looked over at them again while they caught up to me. I wanted to throw a few punches without thinking. There were some pent up frustrations in me that I wanted to desperately let out... but I didn't want to cause Kai any trouble...
Kai... my heart sunk as I looked ahead at the endless shore line...

"Our yacht is nearby and we're having a party... wanna come?" one of them continued and I sighed.
"I'm not interested." I tried picking up my pace but they chuckled in unison. When one of them grabbed a hold of my arm I lost my composure. I spun around quickly while grabbing his arm and aggressively pushed it towards his spine. He held his shoulder blade in pain while I trapped his arm behind his back.
"I said I'm not interested. Don't you understand?" one of them backed off but another one seemed to enjoy my reaction.
"Ow ow ow! Okay!! Let go! We just wanted to have some fun!" I pushed him away and I immediately turned to walk away but the other amused one touched the top of my shoulder. I turned and I tried to push him away but he was quick and grabbed my wrists.
I tried bringing my weight forward but he had the upper hand and raised my arms.
"Let go!" I shouted at him but he just laughed. Just when I was about to kick him I felt my body move to the side. When I turned I saw Kai land a punch right into that guy's mouth. He staggered back and fell down. The timid one of the three started running away. Kai massaged his hand and glared at them.
When Kai stepped forward I put my hand on his chest. We looked at one another briefly... it was as though time had stopped moving around us... moments later Kai took my hand and started pulling me forward. And shortly after, it was raining...
Kai raised his hand to block his face... and when he picked up his pace I followed. We were running together underneath the downpour.
We reached a gazebo outside of the Ravenwolf vacation house... exhausted from running for a few minutes we both exhaled... when I looked at my hand Kai was still holding onto it. I wiped some rain away from my face while lightly tugging my hand away from his. He realized his hand was still locked in mine and let go...
"Thank you..." I said and he remained quiet. He took one of his hands and brushed back his hair. It looked like I was watching a Calvin Klein commercial... his eyes slowly gazed over mine and I blushed again. He seemed to notice something and his head turned away.

He was a little different this time... it was almost smoldering. And I could see his chest perk out from his pale grey shirt which was almost see-through now.
"The house isn't far from here... we can make a run for it..." I started walking ahead but he gently leaned over to hold onto my wrist.
"No..." he said and I looked up at him properly since the first time we got to the gazebo... rain water was dripping from the sides of his face...
"What?"
"It will make it worse..." I wondered what he meant and he gestured towards my shirt. I looked down. I realized due to my hurry this morning I hadn't worn anything underneath the light blouse I put on. I covered my chest and turned around. My embarrassment from earlier only continued to rise to unbelievable heights...
I felt something wrap over my shoulders and looked over at Kai who was now half-naked. He had taken off his shirt for me. I suppose a wet shirt was better than nothing to help me cover up but... still... I couldn't help but be bothered by these knightly acts...
"Kai..." I said as I turned around but he looked away. For some reason, it felt like I was in a trance. I could only hear my heartbeat and the sound of the rain crashing onto the sand in the distance. Before I knew it I was already stepping towards him...
He seemed to be shocked by this gesture and stepped back while still looking away.
"I... didn't mean to sleep next to you... it was an accident... we only have a day left and we'll be heading back so let's just avoid any trouble, alright?"
I didn't know what else to say...
"It wasn't your fault..." he added.
The more he spoke the more guilty I felt. Why did he have to be so apologetic? He had been helping me a lot these days... and even now... he was helping me.
"The rain will stop soon and... we can both walk back together..." as though it was right on cue... the rain really did stop and this time he held onto my hand and walked me over to the house... when we got inside I sneezed a little.
He turned around surprised. He held onto my shoulders anxiously.
"Let me get you a towel..." I wasn't used to this... seeing Kai like this just like I had noticed a while ago anytime I got close to him... made me wonder what I really thought of him.
I watched him rush over to the bathroom and grab a towel for me. He placed it on top of my hand when he got back. He rubbed my hair until it was damp and then hung it around my neck when he realized what he had been doing.
"You're awfully quiet... this is a first..."
Well, I was speechless... while he spoke, I couldn't help but look over to his full lips... maybe it was just the heat of the moment, but I couldn't help but feel entranced by him...
When I leaned in closer to him I tilted my head ever so slightly... exhaling, while touching his exposed flesh... my hand slowly crawled up to the middle of his chest. I looked up at him without any hesitation in my eyes and continued to brush my hand all the way up to his bare neck, which still had stray droplets of water sitting on his skin...
I waited for his next move while biting my lower lip momentarily... thinking I was out of my mind, Kai reacted almost immediately... he placed his hands on the sides of my face and leaned in to place his lips on mine.
In-between the heat from our breaths, our lips swayed back and forth, exploring each corner and curve...
I wrapped my arms around his waist and instantly I felt his hot skin press against me. I exhaled.
There was a moment of separation between us and then we embraced one another again a few more times... when Kai's hand touched the small of my back I couldn't help but shiver... there was nothing but an air of sweetness left in the air and I couldn't help but bite the bottom of his lip softly...
