I can't believe I've been here for a month already. I don't miss Texas. I miss my grandma, but Nonna has been keeping me company. I have friends I love, I have a job I don't hate and I feel like I fit in, I'm no longer the black sheep Johnson band geek loser, I'm Molly.

"Morning Mol, love the hair." Evie smiles as she walks in the back door. I've been experimenting with colours in my hair, they all wash out but my head has been a rainbow these past weeks.

"Thank you, how you feeling?" I ask, morning sickness is totally kicking her ass

"Better today, I don't want to jinx it, but fingers crossed." She smiles. I love Evie, she can be shy sometimes, but she's so fun

"Callum was asking after you again." She says and I laugh. Last week I babysat for her and Reaper so they could have a date night with Evie's brother and his wife Natalie, he's a cute little kid. Scarlett's daughter Jessica is adorable too, Evie and Scarlett seem really close so I often end up with both of them, but I love Scarlett she's so fierce and funny. I've been to her club a few times and she's danced with me, scaring away guys that try to hit on me. When I told her I was on a strictly no boys policy she told me to try being a lesbian but I just laughed as she grinded against me to get rid of a guy.

"Morning Needles." I smile as he walks through the door. Although I was pissed at him trying to end something I didn't want to start I'm being friendly, like nothing ever happened

"I made coffee and there's cupcakes on the counter." I add as I walk away towards the front desk. Luckily he's managed to stop acting like an ass around me so no one suspects anything. Life is good right now, I'm so busy with my life here, back in Texas when I wasn't in school I was in my room alone and miserable, I don't want to go back to that.

"Morning darlin'." Ace smirks as he walks in and leans against the counter

"When you gonna let me take you out?" He asks, Ace has been hitting on me pretty hard, he's funny and hot, and he's a lot closer in age than other people, but I'm totally boy free

"As I say every morning I am staying away from boys." I smile politely

"But I'm all man baby." He winks and I giggle as he walks off.

"Evie you're on music." I call, the boys hate it but now there are two girls in the shop Evie is playing music they hate and I love, I introduced her to Lizzo and she plays it every time.

After a busy day I'm just finishing up when Scarlett walks in, Aunt AJ dropped me off this morning because Scarlett wanted to pick me up from work and hang out at the club before she opens.

"You ready?" She asks and I nod as I finish up the last of my work.

"All I'm saying is the dick well is drying up and now we're losing girls too." Angel shrugs before filling her mouth with a slice of pizza. Apparently before they work out on the pole the girls like to get together on Friday evenings, carb load and gossip. I sit on a velvet couch in the upstairs part of the club, which is a strip club. I've never been here when it's open, but I know a few of the girls from talking to them on the bar.

"I know, I'm going to miss Diamond, she was fucked up but so sweet. Remember when my favourite bra broke? She hand stitched it back together for me." Roxie replies

"Why did Diamond leave?" I ask

"She met some rich business man with just as many issues as her and last week he proposed." Scarlett says rolling her eyes

"Isn't that a good thing?" I ask

"No man could make me give up my job. I love what I do, I make men fall to their knees and throw all their cash at me just by swaying my hips the right way. Plus she has that weird daddy kink and he was all over it." Daisy cringes

"Daddy kink?" I ask

"You know, when you fuck a guy and call him daddy? He responds with something like baby girl. I only call Knuckles daddy to piss him off about the age gap." Scarlett chuckles

"Is there a big difference between you two?" Like maybe sixteen years

"I was eighteen when I met him and he was thirty three. He doesn't like the fact that he's fifteen years older, but he found me irresistible before he knew I was so young." She says as she tosses her hair over her shoulder

"But you guys seem happy." I reply

"Yeah, I love that man more than anything, but don't tell him I said that, I like to keep him on his toes." She smirks "When it feels like this age doesn't matter."

Ok this is putting bad ideas in my head. If she can have a career, a family and be happily married to an older guy maybe what I feel for Needles isn't so bad

"What did your parents say about you getting with an older guy?" I ask

"Umm, when we met I didn't have any family. My dad died in Iraq when I was thirteen and my mom died when I was seventeen. I thought my brother was dead until he came back from a secret mission. He's your aunts boss Mike, that's how Addy ended up here." Scarlett explains. Maybe it wouldn't work, if Scarlett's parents were around would they have forbidden her relationship? I know if my dad found out he would take me away from here and never let me see Needles again.

"Anyway, moving on, we ready to go?" Scarlett asks as everyone begins cleaning up

"Let's do this." Daisy smiles before taking the empty boxes behind the bar. I grab my bag and make my way to the ladies room to change into more party appropriate clothes.
