A/N: Thanks for 5k reads! Here is a double update for you guys!

*Annabelle's POV*
After a few days of relaxing, we woke up early to catch our flight. Adam was grumbling the entire time, he disliked airplanes. They were too small for anyone above 6ft. It didn't help that our total travel time would be ten hours, since we had to switch planes once.
Cade had been a grumpy mess too. He wanted to shift after ten hours stuck in a plane, but sadly, we still had a four hour car ride till we reached my parents, and then we'd have to meet them.
We had a rental car, we'd be staying in Oregon for a full week, and we didn't want to be an inconvenience to my family.
We would be staying at my parent's house. I had told them about Adam ahead of time so they could prepare the guest room, another thing Adam wasn't a fan of. Sleeping in separate rooms for a full week. We weren't going to tell my family that we were already living together. My mother would have a heart attack.
We had been driving for around 2 hours when Adam caved and Cade took over.
"Let me out of this metal box!" Cade had suddenly yelled.
I glanced at him and almost had a heart attack; he had already shifted partly. His claws were out and fangs were present. I immediately parked the car on the side of the road. Thank the lord it's basically just forest here.
"You could have just asked." I pointed out as Cade excitedly opened the door.
"I tried! Adam wouldn't listen!" Cade growled as he shifted all the way. Let us pray no one was close enough to see him shift.
"You can mind link me Cade." I chided.
Cade paused as he looked at me with his pretty wolf eyes. He then let out a grunt. 'I forgot.' he confessed softly.
I chuckled, "Don't get lost out there."
Cade jumped back in the car and gave my cheek a lick. I scrunched up my face in disgust. 'I'll stay close to you, mate. Link me if anything is up.' he linked before he jumped out of the car and started to paddle off into the forest.
"I will. Have fun." I mumbled as I was still trying to get his slobber off me.
Cade turned his head and gave me a wolfish grin. 'I love you, mate.' He linked before running off.
'I love you too.'
---
Thirty minutes later we were back in the car with a very grumpy Adam. He didn't like it when he failed to keep Cade at bay.
We reached my parent's around 10PM. We had gone through the Mc Donald's drive thru to eat dinner. Both Adam and I were exhausted. I had driven most of the way. Adam still wasn't used to driving much. He told me he wanted to drive more though, so he had driven an hour so I could rest.
I smiled as I saw my parent's house. It was a nice two story house and my mother took good care of the front yard and garden. She had flowers for every season, including Fall. Right now, some pretty purple flowers were in bloom.
As soon as Adam and I had rang the doorbell my mother jumped me. "Oh Anna I'm so happy to see you again! It's been too long!" she sobbed in my shoulder as I gave her reassuring back pats.

"I missed you too." I spoke softly as I glanced at my dad, who's eyes were already on Adam.
My mother pulled away from me and shifted her attention to my mate as well, "You must be Adam!"
Adam nodded and extended his hand, which was rejected and instead he was engulfed in a hug. I'm not sure if Adam has ever looked this nervous. I had to bite back a smile.
My big bad Alpha is scared of meeting my parents.
"It's nice to meet you Mrs Carter." Adam managed to squeak out.
"Oh, none of that," My mother said as she pulled away. "You can call me Tia!"
I chuckled as Adam nodded, his face had a soft smile, but his posture was still tense. My mom started blabbering and my dad decided to greet me while she was doing so.
"It's been a while sweet pea." He said as he gave me a hug.
I beamed, "It has been. I missed you!"
He smiled at me before looking at Adam again, who was totally lost trying to listen to my mother. "Sweetheart. Am I allowed to meet him too?" My father interrupted her.
"Of course! Adam, this is my husband, Owen." Mom said enthusiastically.
Adam stiffened even more as he faced my dad, who already had an arm extended. "It's nice to meet you Sir."
Dad gave a huff, "Nice to meet you too." Dad stood tall and proud, and I gulped as I saw Adam's eyebrow twitch. Dominance, not something you want to fight over with an Alpha. Fortunately, Adam seemed to have Cade under control and didn't growl.
"Come in! Come in! I assumed the two of you will be tired. I'll show you to your bedrooms and you two can rest. We can talk tomorrow at breakfast." Mom spoke as she pushed Adam inside.
I smiled, "Thanks mom."
Dad left us and Mom showed a reluctant Adam the guest bedroom. When my mom went back downstairs Adam looked at me with pleading eyes, "Do I really have to sleep here?"
I chuckled and grabbed his hand, "Follow me big baby." A playful growl followed.
My room was just as I left It before going to college. The walls were white and I had bright yellow bed coverings. My mirror was also yellow as well. "I liked the color yellow as a teen. It was cheery."
"I can see that." Adam said as he looked around the room. The thousands of photo frames spread across the room took most of his attention.
I grabbed one of the bags from Adam's shoulder and opened it to prepare for sleep. Adam was still inspecting the room and barely noticed the fact that I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and take off my make-up.
After my night routine, I returned to the room, where Adam was standing with a pile of clothes and his toiletry bag in his arms. He gave me a soft kiss on my cheek before heading into the bathroom.
I jumped into my bed. I had a twin sized bed, and it was incredibly comfy. I wonder if Adam will fit though, the man is massive.
I was so deep in thought that I didn't realize that the man in question lifted the covers and got into bed next to me. His feet reached the end of the bed, but didn't lean over completely, so that was a success.
"You'll have to be back in the guest bedroom tomorrow morning. Dad will flip if he finds you here." I told him as Adam wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer.

"I'll be fine. I'll quickly run to the room when your parents get up." Adam said as he started rubbing circles on my back.
I hummed in response as I felt my eyes get heavy, "Will you wake up in time?"
"Yeah, ever since Robin almost hit us with a baseball bat we've been more alert even while sleeping." Adam explained.
I sighed, "Good." I mumbled as I felt sleep take over. I was so tired.
Adam chuckled, "Goodnight Anna."
"G'night."
---
The next morning, I woke up without Adam by my side as he told me. When I made my way downstairs my mom and Adam were cooking together, bringing a smile to my face.
"Impressing mom with your cooking skills?" I asked as I sat down at the breakfast table.
Adam gave me a big smile and handed me a cup of coffee, "Figured I could help out."
"Oh, Anna. He is a sweetheart! I have always been worried since you don't like cooking, but I'm glad you have Adam to help you out now." Mom spoke as she flipped some pancakes.
I smiled, "He does make my life easier."
"Glad to be of service." Adam spoke sarcastically.
I blew him a kiss before getting up and setting the table. We usually had family breakfasts. It was tradition, especially on the weekends.
Dad stumbled into the kitchen a few moments later. He was not a morning person. He took in the room and narrowed his eyes at Adam, who was standing next to my mother.
"Good morning sir." Adam spoke.
Dad huffed and sat down at his usual seat.
'Don't worry, he's always grumpy in the mornings.' I linked Adam.
'He terrifies me.' Adam replied softly.
I let out a chuckle, earning weird glances from mom and dad. I shrugged it off and walked over to dad, giving him a hug. "Be nice to my boyfriend." I whispered even though I knew Adam could hear me.
"The boy has to earn my respect first." Came dad's gruff reply.
I rolled my eyes and gave Adam an 'I tried' look before grabbing orange juice from the fridge and setting it down on the table.
A few minutes later we were all sitting around the table and the interrogation could begin.
"So, Adam, how did you and my daughter meet?" Mom asked sweetly.
"We met at a pet shelter. We were both planning to adopt." Adam lied smoothly.
"Oh right!" Mom's eyes lit up, "Where is your dog right now?" she asked me.
"At Robin's house. She's taking care of him." I lied.
"He's looks absolutely adorable from the pictures. I can't wait to meet him in person some day. Will you take him with you for Christmas?" Mom asked.
I glanced at Adam, "Uh... maybe. Traveling with a dog is a hassle though, so I might just leave him in Maine."
"I guess we'll have to visit then. Adam, do you have a dog too?" She switched the subject back to my mate.
"Uh... no... I decided not to adopt that day."
Lying to my parents sucks. I figured it would just be the casual lies but I'm afraid we'll be digging ourselves a massive grave.
"What do you do Adam?" My dad cut in before my mother could go rambling again.
"I'm an instructor at a gym." Adam responded. Finally, something that's not a lie.
"You teach? Just like my daughter!" My mom beamed.
Adam just nodded before my dad pushed another question, "Did you go to college?"
Adam cleared his throat, "No sir. I didn't have the money to go to college." he semi-lied.
Dad gave a suspicious hum so Adam decided to explain further, "My parents died when I was twenty so I didn't have much."
I mean the man lived in a wolf den. Not having much is an understatement.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" my mom spoke as she grabbed Adam's hand and squeezed it. I could see that he wasn't comfortable by the touch. He usually isn't comfortable with anyone's touch besides mine.
"It's fine." Adam managed to get out, "Can't do anything about it."
"Your parents didn't leave you with money?"
"Dad! You can't just ask that!" I shot from my chair.
"I'm just asking. If both your mother and I kick the bucket tomorrow you and Isa will still get the house." Dad argued.
"Not everything is like our family!" I countered.
"It's fine, love. My parents would have left me the house but it burned down in the same fire that killed them. There wasn't anything left for me to get." Adam explained calmly. When it came to his family, he always seemed very calm and calculated, hiding the guilt and pain that was hiding underneath.
"Where are you living now?" Mom asked, smartly changing the subject.
"An apartment." Adam simply answered.
Mom and dad both gave nods and I gave Adam a patient smile. The rest of breakfast went smoothly. Mom and dad kept asking questions but it wasn't nearly as bad as Robin who asked Adam about his blood type.
"What are you two doing today?" Mom asked.
I beamed, "We're visiting Isa and Will today." We were going to visit the Crescent Lake Pack today, and I was super excited. Not only was I going to see where Isa has been hanging out, but I would also be able to meet their Luna. I've never met another Luna before, and I couldn't wait talking to one.
"Ah, that's great! Isa has been quite busy ever since she has met that man. She's happy though, and Will is quite the gentleman." Mom swooned.
I giggled, "I'm glad she got some time off to see me."
"She's your sister! Of course, she would! I know she just got this new job but they better give her time off for family. That is the most important part of life!" Mom exclaimed as she grabbed onto dad's arm.
"I don't think that's how it works, mom." I said as I rolled my eyes.
"That's how it should work. Your cousin only got Thanksgiving Day off from work. She doesn't even have the time to visit! It's ridiculous." My mom started rambling in complaint.
I just decided to let her ramble and I focused on Adam, who was squirming from my dad's gaze. I gave my dad a glare to which he shrugged and then he got up and started collecting plates, "Tia, darling. I think the kids should head off before you keep them here till dinner."
I gave dad a grateful smile and mouthed a thank you.
I pulled Adam from his chair and we joined dad in cleaning the kitchen as mom huffed and got up to clean as well. We quickly found out that cleaning our small family kitchen with four people was too crowded and mom thankfully sent us off to Isa.
Adam wanted to practice driving so I let him drive to the pack lands. The closer we got the more excited and nervous I became.
I jumped when Adam placed a hand on my thigh, "Breathe, love. You're working yourself up for no reason."
I took a deep breath, "It's just the first time I'm meeting another Luna."
Adam squeezed my leg. "You'll do great Anna. You don't have to be nervous."
I bit the inside of my cheek as I watched the trees go by, "I hope so."
