"Jacob we need to study" I tell him, but he keeps kissing my neck

I don't know why but it makes me feel uncomfortable which is strange since he is technically my boyfriend.

"We have been" he whispers in my ear

"For 30 minutes and you took a bathroom break"

"Let's take a break" he starts to put his hands underneath my shirt

"I'm not in the mood" I tell him and move his hand

He sighs "whatever"

I don't know why I don't want him in that way he's not a bad guy but I don't feel anything when I'm with him.

His phone digs, I watch him take it out of his pocket and he looks at whoever texted him.

"Hey I got to go" he says and starts grabbing his things

"Is everything okay?"

"Yeah it's uh my mom" he says and gives me a kiss "I'll text you later" he says as he walks out the door

I couldn't study after that, so I go down to the kitchen and see if we have any ice cream.

I see Caleb in the kitchen looking in the fridge.

"Hey" I say

"Hey" he greets back

"Do we have any ice cream?" I ask him

He looks in the freezer "yeah here" he hands it to me

"Thanks" I grab me a spoon

"Is everything okay? Do I need to call Kayla?" He asks me in a almost serious tone

"Why would you need to call Kayla?" I ask confused

"Because that's your go to snack when somethings bothering you and you look kinda sad" he actually looks worried

"I'll be okay" I give him a fake smile

I watch him grab a pint of ice cream and a spoon.

"What are you doing?" I ask confused

"Come on" he says I follow him to the couch still very confused

"Spill" he says as he takes a bite out of his ice cream

"I'm fine really Caleb" I sigh

"No your not" he says ,like he knows me so well

"Why do you even care" I glare at him

He sighs and looks at me serious "I'm sorry"

What? "For what?"

"For how I used to treat you I was an asshole and you didn't deserve it and after you left I actually started to miss you and I started to think about how I used to treat you and no wonder you left if I was you I wouldn't of ever came back"

Did he Caleb actually apologize to me? I'm almost speechless.

"Your my sister and I want us to be able to tell each other things" he gives me a small smile

"Thank you for apologizing" I tell him

He smiles.

"Okay Jacob was just here and we were upstairs studying or I was he just kept trying to kiss me" I start telling him

"Did he do something" Caleb interrupts getting mad

"No he didn't" I can't but laugh I've never seen Caleb protective of me "he wanted to do something but I didn't want to for some reason I mean he is a good guy and he's my boyfriend but i just" I sigh and eat a spoonful of ice cream

"Do you not like him in that way?"

"I don't know he's cute and sometimes he's kinda funny but I honesty don't care to be around him that much and I really don't like it when he tries to kiss me or anything"

"Maybe you don't like him romantically" Caleb shrugs "maybe you should take a break"

I shake my head "no that's not fair to him"

"What's not fair is being with someone who you don't like in that way and is the only reason your not breaking up with him is something to do with Josh?"

I look at him shocked "w-what n-no I told you that I don't like him in that way"

"Maybe the real reason you won't break up with Jacob because your scared you may start to feel something for Josh again"

I feel like I'm in a therapy session.

"I'm happy that me and josh are actually friends and it's not weird between us anymore" I say quietly

"Sometimes there's always that one person that even though you weren't ever with you always care about and hope maybe you actually could be together. Even though you know they maybe don't feel the same" Caleb says looking away

"Caleb? Have you ever liked Kayla in a non friend way?" I ask him because I've always wanted to know

"I don't know she gets on my nerves most of the time" he laughs

"But have you ever thought about the possibility of the two of you?"

"Yeah of course but it would never work out" he says kinda sadly

"Why is it that the people that you want never want you back" I say as I take another bite of ice cream

"I guess that's the way the world works"
