"Can you believe proms coming up" shay squeals

"Why are you so excited it's not like any of us has dates" Kayla sighs sadly

I see shay smirk

"You have a date" Vanessa says noticing it too

"Who?" I ask

"Will asked me" shay giggles

"No way" I say excited

"Yes" she starts jumping up and down

"I'm really happy for you believe me so don't take it personal if I seem a little jealous" Kayla tells her

"I understand" shay pats Kayla head

"Vanessa" I look over at her

"Yes" she says shyly

"Did you ask him yet?"

"Um no" she says "but he beat me to it he asked me" she smiles

I see Kayla put her head on the lunch table "I just need a minute and then we will discuss every single detail" she mumbles

"We need to go dress shopping soon"I smile

After school I'm supposed to take Kayla home.

"This isn't the way to my house?" She says suspiciously

"O I have to stop somewhere first" I shrug trying to play it cool

"Your not planing on killing me and dumping my body are you?" She asks suspiciously

"Not today" I smile

I finally see the park.

"O no o no" I act panicked

"somethings wrong with the car" I say as the car stops

"Nothing's wrong with it" she rolls her eyes

"Can you get me the manual out of the trunk?" I ask

"Why can't you?"

"Please. I'll call triple a" I say

She gets out of the car and shuts the door, I quickly lock it .

"What tha" she tries to open the door "open this door now" she tells me

"I'm doing this because I love you,one day you will thank me"

"Your not going to leave me here are you" she says still trying to open the door

"Of course not what kind of friend do you think I am" I scoff "Caleb will drive you" I say as I see Caleb right behind her "bye"

I quickly drive off.

Me and Caleb have been planning a way for him to ask Kayla to prom. I told him I would figure out a way to drop her off at the park while he set up the picnic for them.

He has been driving himself crazy making sure everything is right and hoping that she will say yes.
